Below Deck superyacht Lady Michelle

Lady Michelle: Inside the star yacht of Below Deck Mediterranean Season 6

The 55 metre Benetti superyacht Lady Michelle is the new star of Below Deck Mediterranean and will be cruising the Croatian coastline for season six of the Below Deck spin-off series. Ahead of the first episode, which premieres on Monday, June 28, here's a sneak peek inside at this season's charter yacht...

Lady Michelle is the second biggest yacht to star on the show, following in the footsteps of the 56.2 metre Oceanco motor yacht The Wellington , which was used to film season five. First delivered in 2003 by Italian shipyard Benetti, she can accommodate 12 guests on board in six cabins, with a crew of 14 catering to every whim.

Season six of Below Deck Mediterranean will see the return of Captain Sandy Yawn as well as bosun Malia White. They will be joined by a brand new crew on board Lady Michelle , including chief stewardess Katie Flood, stewardesses Lexi Wilson and Courtney Veale, deckhands David Pascoe, Lloyd Spencer, and Mzi "Zee" Dempers, and chef Mathew Shea.

The exterior of Lady Michelle is defined by classic lines with a raked bow and a distinctive navy blue hull. She is powered by twin 1,850hp Caterpillar engines and can reach a top speed of 16 knots.

Her interiors, meanwhile, which span across four decks, feature traditional interior styling with glossy wood finishes and a nautical blue and white colour scheme for the soft furnishings.

The superyacht belongs to an American owner and was designed inside and out by Stefano Natucci .

  • Below Deck secrets: What the hit TV series didn't tell you

A highlight below deck is the split-level owner’s suite, which is situated on the main deck and features separate his and hers bathrooms, its own panoramic observation lounge to enjoy views and a private study. There’s also a gym room with full workout equipment, a saloon for guests to gather and a dedicated dining space for meals inside.

Moving outside, Lady Michelle boasts an expansive sun deck complete with a swimming pool, a drinks bar, sun loungers and an al fresco dining area. Further al fresco dining areas and lounges are found throughout the shaded deck areas.

No luxury superyacht would be complete without a toy garage, and Lady Michelle ’s is certainly well stocked. Alongside two tenders Lady Michelle carries a pair of jet skis, fishing, waterskiing and wakeboarding gear, towable toys, kayaks, paddleboards seabobs, a waterslide and more.

Season six will see Lady Michelle and her crew cruising around the coast of historic Croatian town Sibeni, though she normally spends her time exploring the warm waters of Miami and The Bahamas.

The Bravo TV Show can be streamed via peacock.com from June 28, 2021. For those who fancy a slice of the Below Deck action, Lady Michelle is available to charter with Burgess with a weekly charter rate starting $275,000.

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Bravo's Below Deck takes viewers behind the scenes of a luxurious life on the open seas, featuring the lives and drama of employees who keep uber-fancy yachts running for their interesting and varied clienteles. The reality series is entering a new season this week, and at the same time introducing plenty of new characters. Based on the biographies provided by the network, the Season 6 cast of Below Deck is pretty comfortable in their sailing skills.

The cast is a mix of familiar returning faces and exciting new additions, and it's sure to be an interesting season to witness. Captain Lee Rosbach told RealityBlurred.com back around Season 3 that he thought the Bravo original provided " a pretty accurate snapshot " of yacht life. "What happens happens and it’s all caught on film."

He also assured that there are plenty of aspects of the experience that shocked him — he perhaps didn't realize how much drama happened behind closed doors, even on a crew under his command. "Hell yes, I’m surprised," he continued. "I think one of the biggest lessons that I’ve learned since I started doing a series is that a captain who thinks they really, really knows what goes on with his crew all the time is fooling himself, because he doesn’t."

Even if a captain doesn't always know what's happening with their crew, veiwers are about to as the newest season premieres. Before that happens, let's get refreshed on old faces and introduced to the new:

Captain Lee Rosbach

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Rosbach has spent more than 20 years sailing yachts , according to his Bravo biography, and is even writing a memoir about his experiences. He's appeared on every season of the show, and doesn't show any signs of giving up the helm.

Kate Chastain

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Kate is another returning crew member from past seasons. According to her bio, the ship's chief stewardess has been working on yachts for more than 10 years . In addition to her ocean-bound adventures, she's also an entreprenuer who started a non-profit boutique in Florida .

Rhylee Gerber

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Rhylee the deckhand is a new addition, and as her Instagram feed is private, it's hard to find too much out about her personal life. Luckily, her Bravo bio clues us into the fact that she's a native Alaskan with experience captaining vessels of her own.

Josiah Carter

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Josiah arrives on the show as a steward , and after growing up on the coast of England, according to his bio, he is no stranger to the water. His Instagram shows that he's caught the travel bug, and enjoys a luxe lifestyle of his own.

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Ross is another deckhand on the crew. He's a native of New Zealand, and has an adorable son who's often featured on Ross' Instagram feed. His bio says that Ross is a former professional rugby player who became interested in sailing after an injury ended his career, and taht yachting has allowed him to provde a comfortable life for his child.

Caroline Bendol

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Caroline is a stewardess on the yacht this season, and though she doesn't seem to have much of a social media presence, her Bravo bio says she's always up for an adventure , and is a fan of the nomadic lifestyle.

Ashton Pienaar

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Ashton is a native of South Africa who quit a desk job in search of adventure, and ended up at yacht training in the South of France. His sense of excitement for life seems obvious from that fact alone, and his Instagram feed is basically completely made up of beautiful spots around the world.

Adrian Martin

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Adrian is the yacht's chef this season, and based on the qualifications outlined in his Bravo bio, the rest of the crew will be eating well. The site says he studied in culinary school for 4 years and trained in Parisian restaurants before hitting the open seas.

Chandler Brooks

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Chandler is the yacht's bosun, which basically means he's in charge of the deckhands. His Bravo bio says he was essentially raised on this kind of lifestyle — his dad was a yacht captain — and he's attended sailing school since he was a young boy.

This cast of characters definitely sounds capable, and even pretty mellow at first glance. There's no doubting their skills on the yacht, but judging by the trailers for the upcoming season, there are plenty of hiccups that can come along with this kind of job, and viewers will be along for the ride until the boat docks for good.

The 'Below Deck Mediterranean' Season 6 Trailer Is Here!

Captain Sandy Yawn returns for season 6 of Bravo's Below Deck Mediterranean

Captain Sandy Yawn and Bosun Malia White return to the high seas with an all-new crew for another sure-to-be dramatic charter season.

Below Deck Mediterranean   is sailing back onto your TV screens. Bravo just dropped the first look at season 6 of the hit series, which features the return of Captain Sandy Yawn and Bosun Malia White (which might be a  little  awkward, seeing as Sandy "outed" Malia -- who is actually not queer -- near the end of season 5's run). The pair is joined by an all-new crew: Chief stewardess Katie Flood, chef Mathew Shea, stewardesses Lexi Wilson and Courtney Veale, as well as deckhands David Pascoe, Lloyd Spencer and Mzi "Zee" Dempers. There's also a new boat --  Lady Michelle , an 180-food mega yacht -- and a new location, Sibenik, the oldest native Croatian town on the shores of the Adriatic Sea.

Bravo promises a "shocking franchise first" before the opening charter, as a serious crisis unfolds and leaves the staff to worry if the season will be over before it even begins. Of course, the crew will encounter one demanding charter group after another, all while continuing to provide the seven-star service that is expected in the Med. Between charters, long workdays lead to late-night hijinks, surprising hookups and one heated, over-the-top argument in the hot tub that leaves the group at a crossroads.

Fans looking to hit the high seas early will get a chance this season, as Peacock -- the NBCUniversal streaming service -- will stream episodes a full week before they air on Bravo! That means the premiere hits Peacock on Monday, June 21.

Watch the trailer here:

Katie takes over the position of chief stew from Hannah Ferrier , the franchise OG who departed  Below Deck Med  midway through filming season 5 , after Malia turned her into Sandy for having undocumented prescription medication onboard. Katie has over six years of experience in yachting, and prides herself on her attention to detail. A firm believer in equal opportunities, she strives to keep her interior team on an equal footing which does not bode well with her stews. When she clashes with one of her crewmates, she is left to make tough decisions that could impact the entire boat.

Below Deck Mediterranean   returns   Monday, June 28, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo (or a week early on Peacock!). Catch up on the first four seasons, now streaming on Peacock. Season 5 comes to the platform on June 14.

Below Deck Season 6: Where Are The Cast Members Now?

of Below Deck Season 6: Where Are The Cast Members Now?

Bravo’s ‘Below Deck’ is a reality television show that focuses on the crew members who work on a private yacht as they cater to the needs and demands of high-end clients who embark on lavish and exclusive charter vacations. The crew members must also deal with their drama, which often spills over into their work lives. The sixth season of the show follows its cast into the yacht named My Seanna as it sails in the stunning waters of Tahiti. Since the premiere of the season in October 2018, fans have followed their favorite cast members closely and have been curious to know more about them since it wrapped up. We have got all the details for you, so let us begin!

Lee Rosbach is a Published Author Now

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Captain Lee Rosbach (@captain_lee_rosbach)

The captain of the ship was a veteran face in the sixth season of the show. He managed to run the boat successfully and was able to tackle the interpersonal problems that came his way. As a captain, he had to make some hard decisions but it did not deter Captain Lee from coming back to the show for a couple of more seasons. Owing to his health issues, he had to take a break during the filming of the tenth season and he revealed he will not be returning to the show.

Captain Lee is a published author of ‘Running Against the Tide: True Tales from the Stud of the Sea’, a book he co-wrote with Michael Shohl. He is enjoying his time with Laura Monteverdi, his wife, and lovingly calls her “my bride” in all of his Instagram posts. He has confirmed that he will be doing more work with Bravo but the details are still unknown.

Adrian Martin is Focusing on Family Now

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Adrian Martin (@chefadrianmartin)

The Chef on the cruise for Season 6 was Adrian Martin. He was well-liked by all other crew members because of his calm and composed demeanor and pleasant temperament. However, third stew Laura Betancourt, in one of her confessionals, mentioned Adrian passed some romantic advances and sexually charged remarks that made her feel uncomfortable. On the show, he apologized for his behavior when she confronted him about it. After appearing on ‘Below Deck’ for a single season, Adrian kept working as a chef in NYC and then moved to Saint Martin, where he grew up.

Following that, Adrian had been offering private dining experiences to his clients and had shared that he wanted to go on a tour all over the US. Interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Adrian picked up on his plans after 2021 and even worked on a couple of yachts during this time. In 2022, Adrian and his partner, Grace, had a daughter whom they named Poppy Eloise. From what we can tell, he is now settled in Oregon with his lovely family.

Kate Chastain is  a Proud Mother Now

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kate Chastain (@kate_chastain)

The fan-favorite, Kate, brought her usual flair and feistiness to the sixth season of the show as well. There were many people she head-butted with but that is what fans love to see. In August of 2023, she appeared on a show named “Couch Talk” with Captain Lee and they discussed the “biggest moments of the week”. She is a new and proud mother of baby boy Sullivan Cay and has over one million followers on Instagram. This successful influencer has found different ways to reach new heights in her career and there is no stopping for Kate anytime soon.

Josiah Carter is Living a Content Life Today

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Josiah Carter (@josiahcarter_)

The British steward brought his refined service skills and keen attention to detail to the yacht and formed a good relationship with Kate. He quickly became a fan favorite and won over many hearts with his funny but well-meaning comments. After he departed from the show, he expressed that he could come back to the franchise for one of the spin-offs but the plans did not materialize due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Josiah is currently the owner of an ethical clothing brand named House of XOXO and is also a famous Instagram influencer. He and his long-time partner adopted a puppy Spoodle in December 2020 and they named him River. In addition to the fulfilling moments in Josiah’s life, he got engaged to Michael Groves in February 2022 and the couple will be married very soon this year. It seems like Josiah is very content in his life right now, and the doors for coming back to the Bravo production are not closed for him.

Caroline Bedol is Leading a Private Life Now

View this post on Instagram A post shared by @socrazysocaroline

Caroline’s entry into the show was quite promising but it was not an easy ride for her as she sustained a lot of minor injuries and got into some heated arguments during the show. Even though Kate and Josiah celebrated her leaving the show, fans could not help but wonder what she has been up to. Caroline has kept a low profile since leaving the show and revealed that the time she spent on the show was quite traumatizing and she would like to recuperate for a while.

In a Reddit AMA, she did say that she can think about returning to the show. She said , “I would have another go at the third-stew position! Only because they would literally never attempt to eff with me again haha”. She has picked up her interest in horse riding again and espouses her political beliefs boldly. It looks like Caroline is gradually healing and is paving the way for great things ahead.

Laura Betancourt is a Yoga Instructor Now

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Laura Betancourt (@laurabetancourt)

Laura joined as a stew to replace Caroline in the middle of the charter season. Her strong personality clashed with Kate at the beginning of her arrival but the two were able to figure out a friendship along the way. Laura also had a brief romantic stint with Ashton while they were aboard.

Post leaving the show after just six episodes, Laura is now working as a yoga and fitness instructor with many certifications under her belt. She even hosts online practice sessions for her clients, which include celebrities. She is currently living in Hawaii and is making her followers envious with pictures of herself in beautiful and underexplored locations. From what we can tell, Laura is either single or she has decided to keep her love life under the radar. Whatever the case may be, she has great things written for her in the coming years and she seems to be thriving.

Chandler Brooks is Focusing on Personal Growth Now

below deck sailing yacht season 6

The bosun of the yacht, Chandler, was not a favorite member of the crew. They felt he was not performing well at his job and had a bad attitude. He landed in a lot of trouble with Captain Lee because of not adhering to his orders and poorly treating his deckhands. Many fans agreed with Captain Lee for firing him but a lot of speculation has gone around related to his departure and his whereabouts after the show. Even though his co-star Caroline, in an AMA, said that Chandler was fired because he told the production team he wanted to resign and was overwhelmed with the job, there is no proof of the same.

Since his departure, Chandler has continued to rise the ranks in the yachting industry and is in a loving relationship with Jamie Jason, a cast member of ‘Below Deck Mediterranean’ season 3. Even though he is not present on social media, Jamie kept her profile public till a few years ago and it was evident that the couple were building a strong relationship while enjoying their respective careers and traveling. Chandler seems to have found some peace and stability in his life after the show, and better things are in store for him.

Ross Inia Keeps a Low-Profile Now

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ross Inia (@ross_inia)

Ross Inia joined the show as a deckhand but following Chandler’s untimely departure from the show, he was promoted to bosun. According to his crew mates, he was a better leader than Chandler, even though he was not the best. He gained a lot of love and liking from the fans of the show but Inia did not make a second appearance. In December 2018, following the season wrap-up, Inia was partying with a few friends in West Palm Beach, Florida, when he got into a fight and was reportedly arrested for disorderly intoxication and battery.

As per reports, Inia was charged with a couple of felonies but the charges were later dropped to misdemeanors when he entered a “not guilty” plea. According to Bravo, he said, “It was just me and a couple of mates having a night out. That’s pretty much all I can say. I can’t really elaborate on it. It was a big misunderstanding.” He has kept a low profile since then and frequently posts pictures with his son, Kai. On a personal front, he got engaged to his girlfriend, Rachel, in May 2021 and wants to spend more time in Florida to stay close to both his son and his fiance. Sadly, Inia’s father passed away in February 2022. Though he misses him every single day, Inia keeps his father’s memories alive in his heart.

Ashton Pienaar is Doing Community Work Now

View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Yo-Yo Diet Recovery Coach (@ashtonpienaar)

Ashton survived a near-death experience in the show when his leg got caught in a towline but he was fortunately saved by a cameraman. He returned to the show for the next season, but it soon became apparent that he had a drinking problem which led to him being fired. After he left the show, Ashton turned his life around and is currently the owner of a fitness company called A P Elite. In 2021, he declared that he had been sober for a year and is making strides in delivering on personal and familial relations. He is not only helping himself but also providing support to people to lead better and healthier lives and it seems like he is meant to do even greater things.

Rhylee Gerber is an Entrepreneur Now

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Rhylee Gerber (@thelifeofrhylee)

Born and brought up in Alaska, Rhylee joined the ‘below Deck’ crew as a deckhand. She did not get along well with many people in the show but always ended up in heated arguments with Ashton. She came back to the show for a subsequent season but has not made an appearance since then.

After deciding to leave the show for good, Rhylee went back to Alaska and started fishing professionally. She frequently posted about the daily ins and outs of her life and after the pandemic was over, she moved into a van and started traveling across the country. She was accompanied by her dog, Dolce, whom she lost to an unbeatable tumor in July 2020. She is currently an entrepreneur and is seemingly involved in animal rescue. She is a very successful influencer and is shining brighter than ever.

Tyler Rowland is a Digital Creator Now

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Tyler Rowland (@tyler.c.rowland)

With STCW and CPR certifications, Tyler made a good deckhand on ‘Below Deck’. Some sparks flew between him and Rhylee during the filming of the show but it did not lead to long-lasting relationships. After the show, he went back to working as a firefighter and has also become a digital creator. He has reclaimed his liking for adventure and frequently treks and travels to obscure destinations. He expresses interest in a lot of arenas like fitness, food, and activism. It is great to see Tyler being in his element and reclaiming his true self to achieve better.

Since 2013, Below Deck has been captivating TV audiences across the globe by offering a voyeuristic peek into life on board multi-million dollar luxury charter yachts . Taking readers behind the scenes, YachtCharterFleet identifies the yachts featured on the show, as well as those which have appeared on the celebrated spin-off series Below Deck: Mediterranean , Below Deck: Sailing , Below Deck: Down Under and the latest iteration, Below Deck: Adventure .

Bravo’s hit reality TV series Below Deck chronicles the lives of crew members who work and reside aboard a luxury yacht during the charter season.

Each season features a different crew configuration, and the episodes show how the crew members interact and deal with personal issues alongside their working lives. The seasons are filmed over six weeks, with every episode featuring a new group of charter guests.

Getting even closer to these Below Deck superstars, we take a look at each of the stand-out features of every yacht that has appeared on the show.

Below Deck (US)

Many crew members are recurring on the show;  the longest-standing is Captain Lee Rosbach, who been on the show since 2013. A fan favourite, he has been at the helm of every yacht on Below Deck and seen a number of different crew formations.

The latest Below Deck season 10 is rumoured to be his final swan song, although his legacy on the show is such that whoever replaces him will have very big shoes to fill.

Among the crew members, Chief Stewardess Kate Chastain was an integral member of the team from season two to season seven. Alongside her, Chef Ben Robinson was a permanent fixture of the crew from season one to season four, before stepping out for season five.

Throughout the course of the show, the yachts have played an important role.

Hiring a Below Deck yacht will cost from €140,000 per week - and that price doesn't include expenses such as fuel. While some of the yachts were given an alias over the course of filming, their real names can now be revealed below; as well as the exact cost to rent them.

The largest yacht in the show's history, the 10th and 11th seasons of Below Deck  are set around the Caribbean islands of St Lucia  and Grenada onboard the luxurious 60m (197ft) superyacht ST DAVID . Delivered in 2008 by Italian shipyard Benetti, the yacht has an impressive sleek, supercar-inspired profile that instantly turns heads.

Onboard highlights include her well-appointed sundeck with sunloungers and sunpads where guests can kick back and relax, a spa pool and her al fresco cinema screen set up for unforgettable movie nights.

One of the yacht's most distinctive features is her sophisticated spiral staircase that leads through all three decks and is lit by a skylight in the spa pool of the sun deck. The yacht is very versatile for a variety of charter party configurations, with room for 12 guests across six elegantly appointed cabins.

The yacht has traveled far and wide for the show cruising to the jaw-droppingly beautiful St Kitts and Nevis in season 9, the sun-kissed Caribbean in season 8 and the  South Pacific  islands of  Tahiti in season 6.

Known for being among one of the most opulent yachts on the charter market due to her ornate interiors and glossy fittings that have been brushed in 22-carat gold, it is safe to say that this yacht is one of the most opulently styled and extensively equipped yachts on the water. Refitted in 2021, the Delta Marine yacht can accommodate 12 guests across 6 cabins and is extremely versatile for a variety of yacht charter party configurations.

The yacht traveled around Thailand in Season 7  where the crew and viewers were treated to a truly memorable South East Asian experience. From the iconic Phi Phi Islands to the beautiful beaches of Ko Yao Yai, there were plenty of fascinating landmarks to see on the way. Season 5 took viewers to the tranquil cruising grounds of  Saint Martin whilst season 4 saw M/Y BG in the glistening waters of the  Virgin Islands .

Accomodating 12 guests across 6 cabins, she is also capable of carrying up to 10 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Among many other features, the yacht is equipped with a large sundeck, outdoor bar and luxury accommodation for 10 guests.

After filming the series, M/Y STAR DIAMOND was sold for an asking price of $10.9 million and is now on the charter market with a charter rate of $160,000/week. Extensively refit in 2022, the work on the superyacht has included a complete interior refresh, the yacht now features light, modern styling - an engine rebuild and a cabin conversion.

HONOR (aka BARENTS )

Superyacht charter yacht BARENTS

The first season of Below Deck premiered on 1 July 2013 after being announced in April 2012. Chartering around the Caribbean , the starring superyacht was named HONOR for the show but chartered under the name CUOR DI LEONE which translates to ‘Lion Heart’ in Italian. She now goes by the name BARENTS .

Built by Italian shipyard Benetti in 1999 and refit in 2021, the famous vessel has undergone a complete makeover, bringing her up to modern standards. She can accommodate up to 12 charter guests and features luxury amenities for guests to enjoy including state-of-the-art TVs and a sundeck Jacuzzi.

Following the show, superyacht BARENTS was sold for around $15 million and her new owner commissioned a major refit. A great deal of money was spent on updating her interior with a classic-modern style of design as well as on brand-new exterior furniture and entertainment systems.

IONIAN PRINCESS

Ionain Princess season 1 Below Deck Mediterranean

Premiering on 3 May 2016, the very first season of Below Deck: Mediterranean , a spin-off of the increasingly popular franchise, took to viewers' screens. This time the ‘yachties’ took care of their guests onboard the motor yacht IONIAN PRINCESS  in the Mediterranean  destination of Greece .

The starring yacht IONIAN PRINCESS was delivered from Christensen in 2005 and was later refit in 2016 and again in 2021. Truly opulent, she bears interiors that are sleekly finished with a range of warmly toned woods and plenty of comfortable furnishings. She also boasts one of the largest sundecks for a yacht of her size.

Below Deck: Mediterranean Season 1 yacht IONIAN PRINCESS is not currently available for private yacht charter vacations.

Below Deck: Sailing Yacht

This is the first time the Below Deck franchise branched away from gleaming motor yachts, with the various weather issues that sailing yachts have to contend with adding even more drama and excitement.

The design of luxury sailing yachts  also creates far more confined crew areas than we are used to seeing on the original Below Deck . In general, sailing yachts tend to feature smaller galleys, compact stew stations and cramped crew quarters which are in closer proximity to the guests’ living areas, putting crew under increased pressure to deliver their signature silver service.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3

In addition, deck crew are placed in a far more demanding role, with sailing yachts requiring increased accuracy and precision to safely maneuver and plenty of deck duties taking place in the midst of guest areas.

PARSIFAL III

Sailing yacht on Below Deck

For the latest Below Deck: Sailing Yacht season she ventured around the glittering coastline of Sardinia .

The yacht can comfortably charter up to 12 guests across 5 luxurious cabins with a layout comprising a master suite, two double cabins and two twin cabins.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 Episode 6 Recap: Don’t Cry Over Buffalo Wings in the Sand

When last we left Below Deck Sailing Yacht , Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher was sobbing in her cabin. Daisy and Junior Stew Madison “Mads” Herrera had been doing their best to take care of the demanding charter guests, while the other junior stew, Lucy Edmunds , was doing “f*** all” at the beach.

In truth, Lucy and Deckhand Alex Propson were setting up a beach picnic for the guests. Hang in there, Daisy! You’ll have time to catch your breath as soon as they all leave on the tender and head to the beach. You’ve dealt with far worse than these guests.

“I am so f***ing frustrated right now that if I didn’t cry, honestly, I think I would set the boat on fire,” Daisy interviewed. I get it, girl! Been there. Guys get angry and punch something. Girls cry. It’s stress relief.

Meanwhile, the guests chose to delay their beach trip by half an hour, while TJ and Lauren finished their breakfast. Having “f*** all” to do at the beach while she was waiting for them to arrive, Lucy decided to do some yoga.

Life’s a beach (picnic)

below deck sailing yacht season 6

At last, the guests were ready for First Mate Gary King to tender them over to the beach. Primary guest John decided to take a last-minute pee over the side of the boat, rather than using the day head which was just steps away. His young son Jacob chastised him, “Dad! That’s gross!” I’m surprised John didn’t tell him, “This is how real sailors do it, son.”

After dropping the guests at the beach, Gary headed back to the Parsifal III for the food. In the galley, Chef Ileisha Dell was admitting, “Buffalo wings aren’t really my thing.” Really? I never really thought about it, but I guess buffalo wings are an American thing. What would be the Brit equivalent of a buffalo wing then? Beans on toast? A bacon butty? The latter sounds delish, by the way.

At the beach, the guests were throwing an American football around. When John threw the ball to his son, guest Lauren tried to block him from catching it and got smacked in the back of the head by the ball. Everybody laughed it off, as Lucy commented, “Please, no more [head injuries].”

After delivering the food to the beach, Gary asked Lucy, “Are you coming with me [back to the boat]?” When she shook her head no, Gary said sadly, “No? Dammit. Thought we were gonna have a little romantic cruise in the tender.” He never stops trying, does he?

The guests enjoyed Ileisha’s buffalo wings but had nowhere to dispose of the bones. John complained about having to put the stripped bones back into the bowl with the uneaten wings. Suddenly, Jacob toppled backward in his deck chair, taking the cocktail table of food with him into the sand. “I started falling, [and] by instinct, I put my hand on the table,” he explained.

“This is a f***ing sh** show,” Lucy muttered to herself. Back at the boat, Daisy gasped as she read Lucy’s text, “John has been complaining a lot, and now Jake’s knocked all the food into the sand. It’s f***ing ruined! I don’t think they’re too happy.”

Working together in the galley, Chief Engineer Colin MacRae and Chef Ileisha noticed Daisy’s dismay. “What’s going on?” the chef asked.

“All good?” Colin wondered. “Dais?” She just shook her head.

“F***ing f*** my life!” Daisy texted back to Lucy, telling Colin and Ileisha, “I’m so over this. Oh my God.”

Up on the bridge, Daisy informed Captain Glenn, “Just so you’re prepared, [John]’s complaining a lot.”

“It is what it is,” Glenn said philosophically, as Daisy walked away muttering, “I’m just over it.”

“It’s not that stressful,” Gary chimed from the banquette, where he was comfortably reclining during work hours. “I really thought they were enjoying it. I’m having a good time with them.” How would you even know, Gary? The guests are back at the beach, and you’re relaxing on the bridge sucking up to the captain. Way to be supportive. This is not gonna win you any points with Daisy in the romance department. No wonder she chose Colin .

“I feel like Gary lives in his own world,” Daisy interviewed. “At the end of the day, if there are any complaints coming back, it’s gonna be about the interior [department]. But [Gary] doesn’t give a sh** how I feel.”

“I’m having dinner with them tonight,” Gary told Glenn. “I’ll make it all happen.”

Ileisha cuts a bitch (herself)

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Because the food had been dumped in the sand, the guests decided it was time to return to the boat. “You know when you go to a nice resort, and then you leave the resort and go into town, you’re like … uh, let’s get back to the resort,” John said. I guess that meant he was done with the beach. “I think we’re ready to head back if you guys are cool,” he told Lucy.

In the galley, Daisy was saying, “I hate people. I hate life.”

“Why are you always in a grumpy mood these days, Daisy?” Colin asked her. Maybe you can do something about that soon, Colin?

Clearly, Daisy and Lucy weren’t the only ones on the boat feeling the tension. While chopping vegetables for dinner, Ileisha inadvertently sliced the tip of her fingernail off. Captain Glenn just happened to be there, and asked, “You okay? Want something to clean that out?”

“I should know better,” Ileisha interviewed. “I’m no stranger to injuries when I’m rushing. One time in the kitchen, I nearly cut my whole thumb off. I passed out, blood everywhere, white face. I needed to go to the hospital. But you have to suck it up, and shake it off.” Good story, Ileisha. Ewwwww.

Chase and Gary have more drama

below deck sailing yacht season 6

In the meantime, deckhand Chase Lemacks had overslept. Having worked the night shift, he was supposed to wake up at 2:30, but he mistakenly thought it was 3:30. Gary went to check on him at 3:15 and found him making his bunk.

“On the page, it’s there,” Gary told him. “I can’t remind you all the time. Do you mind going and helping pack away the swim platform?”

“On my way,” Chase told his boss — to his face. But in an interview, of course he had to push back, per usual. “F***ing Gary. That’s not what he said yesterday … Even when I’m right, I’m f***ing wrong for it.” Even though Gary mistakenly told him 3:30, 2:30 was the time written on the schedule. Check the schedule next time, Chase. The written record always wins.

The Parsifal III goes for a sail

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Finally, Glenn radioed the interior, “We’re gonna start putting sails up.” The wind was gusting up to 25 knots (just under 29 mph), so it should be a wild ride. At the same time, Ileisha was preparing dinner in the galley. It must be so much fun to try to prepare an elegant dinner while your kitchen is leaning at a 20° angle. I guess this is the job she signed up for, though.

As the boat heeled over, things went flying off the counter in the galley. “Not the beans!” the chef cried in dismay. “F*** me!” In the salon, Gary and Lucy were having fun body sledding across the sloping wooden floor. Behind the bar, Mads joked, “You know what? I’m sick of being the only one that works here.” All three laughed since they had all been goofing around.

Gary gets his flirt on

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Coming across Mads all alone in the laundry, Gary wasted no time. “Hey, my fave!” he said while closing the laundry room door. “Listen, I just want to hang out and get to know you. It’s not easy while we work though.”

When Mads agreed, he added, “You don’t really get the time [to get acquainted]. And then when we go out, everyone’s together.”

“And everyone loves me,” Mads joked.

“We’re just gonna have to stay up and wait in the jacuzzi until everyone goes to bed,” the First Mate continued. “I need affection, girlfriend.”

“I think you’ve got the wrong one,” Mads told him. In an interview, she admitted, “I don’t think Gary gets me at all. I think the affection and love bombing is just so cringy to me. I’m not an affectionate person.”

“Well, we can change that,” Gary offers. I think Mads is more into Alex than Gary. We’ll see what happens on their next night off.

Back in the galley, Daisy told Gary that even though the dinner was to celebrate guest John’s book launch, he was planning to present awards to each of his guests. Gary volunteered to emcee the awards dinner, to which Glenn was also now invited.

Lucy melts the guest’s dinner dress

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Attempting to steam the wrinkles out of guest Lauren’s dinner dress, Lucy accidentally melted the material with an iron that was too hot. “Mads!” she shouted for help.

Hearing the cries for help, Colin stuck his head out of his cabin. “What happened?”

“I just burned her dress!” she explained. “Her dress just melted on me. I was steaming it … My mum’s going to be so disappointed in me.”

Waking Daisy from her nap, Mads broke the sad news, “Lucy may have ruined the guest’s dress.”

“We can reimburse her,” Daisy said, as she examined the melted dress. “It says you can iron it, so steam shouldn’t have done that. Give me two minutes,” she was wrapped in a towel, “and I’ll come out and I’ll speak to her, apologize.”

Once again Daisy was concerned about getting negative reviews at the end of the charter. “Having to tell this guest that we have f***ed up so majorly bad and that probably we’re gonna get some more sh**ty feedback from Glenn, my anxiety is sky-high right now,” she said in an interview.

But when she went to tell the guest about the melted dress, despite a lot of OMGs, she really wasn’t angry. Daisy assured her they would reimburse her for the damage, but Lauren was very gracious and said it was okay. She didn’t make the fuss Daisy expected.

Daisy’s a stress case

below deck sailing yacht season 6

While setting the table for dinner with Gary and Lucy, Daisy asked them, “What would you do if I walked off [the boat] today?”

“I think we would handle it pretty well,” Gary quipped. “You just create a stress environment, Daisy.”

Daisy thought he was pretty mean, while Lucy interviewed, “All the tension between Daisy and Gary could go one way or the other. And obviously, negative energy can affect crew, so I definitely hope they sort out their sh**.”

“You don’t stress me out at all,” Gary added. “I don’t stress.”

“But I just stress everyone else out,” Daisy responded.

“Everyone else, yeah,” Gary admitted.

When Gary, Glenn and the guests were seated at the table, Daisy complained, “I hate that we have to serve Gary.” This is the second time Gary was invited to eat with the guests since he returned from quarantine. Isn’t this only his second charter back?

One of the guests asked Glenn the meaning behind the boat’s name, Parsifal. “It’s from King Arthur,” he answered. “A German composer wrote an opera about Parsifal. They’ve named the Parsifal after the opera, which is after the knight.”

While trying to distract the guests with small talk, Glenn noticed that there was a long time between courses. The primary’s son Jacob was rubbing his eyes with sleepiness. That’s what happens when you start dinner at 9:00 pm. Who can eat that late? Normally, I’m thinking about bed at that hour.

Dessert and the awards ceremony were to take place upstairs on the flybridge deck. While the crew was waiting to start the presentation, Daisy was irritated that Gary took a cigarette break before coming upstairs and gave him a hard time about it. Even Colin said he’d been waving at Gary to come up.

Though he apologized and said he didn’t hear the radio call, he was annoyed at being called out. “I don’t give a f*** what you say, I’m the chief officer here,” he said in a production interview. “If I want to have a f***ing cigarette, I’m gonna have a cigarette. F***, Colin. I thought you were on my side. What the f*** is going on?” Struck a nerve there, I guess. I thought you never lost your cool, Gary. Not so cool now, huh?

Colin’s a good listener

below deck sailing yacht season 6

Looking for a sympathetic shoulder to cry on, Daisy knocked on Colin’s door while Gary was still upstairs emceeing the awards ceremony. Is this the beginning of their relationship ?

“I’m just f***ing tired,” she told him. “Like, it’s [been] a long day. I’m having to manage a lot. To have a girl do service when the guests are off the boat, no matter what they’re doing or drinking. I just feel so much pressure, and … anything that goes wrong, it looks bad on me.”

“I feel like Gary’s so unapproachable,” she continued. “Like, he’s just sick of me saying stuff. I just don’t want to have another conversation about it.”

At least Colin was supportive of Daisy’s feelings and didn’t just brush her off like Gary had. Daisy really appreciated having him see her side. “If it weren’t for Colin, I would feel so alone,” she admitted.

“You’re doing a good job,” Colin said, giving her a big hug. “You’re a great chief stew. I notice how much you do.”

Daisy was feeling a little betrayed by Gary’s attitude about her frustration, especially since she thought they’d gotten close working together. “I feel like I can speak for the entire crew,” she said. “Gary, go f*** yourself.”

As everyone else was off to bed, Chase was once again complaining about having to do the anchor watch. “Cleaning the boat all night, it’s a f***ing sh** job … [but] I’m crushing it.”

As a beautiful purple and orange sunrise rose above the Mediterranean, Chase stood at the end of the swim deck and said, in a Mario voice, “That’s-a very pretty.”

The guests say goodbye and Daisy has a meltdown

below deck sailing yacht season 6

I’m going to miss these guests. Though they could be demanding at times, they were actually lovely, kind people, which is rare on this show.

While Ileisha was preparing breakfast in the galley, John was trying to rouse at least one member of his family out of bed to keep him company up on deck. It was their last morning on the Parsifal, and he wanted to savor every minute remaining.

As the boat motored toward the marina, Glenn asked Gary to give the marina a call and let them know they’d be returning to their berth in just a few minutes. The guests finished their packing just as Glenn pulled the boat into her slip. But as he was maneuvering the last few feet, John came up to chat, bless his heart. Not a good idea to distract the captain while he’s trying to safely dock a multi-million dollar vessel.

As he was saying goodbye to the crew, John couldn’t have been more gracious. “You guys are the Greatest of All Time Yacht Crew! Thank you so much!” After handing Glenn a fat tip envelope, he waved goodbye and walked down the dock to join his friends and family.

Back in the galley, Daisy vented to Ileisha about Gary saying it was “one of the best charters ever,” when she had been struggling. She wondered if he said it just to piss her off. “Honestly, I couldn’t tell if he was being sarcastic or trying to wind me up.”

Ileisha called it a “dick move” for Gary to make that comment when he knew Daisy was having such a hard time. “F***ing Gary. Such a f***ing wanker.” I love that word “wanker.” It’s so British and so proper, while still being a bit cheeky. Good to see the Aussies have taken it under their wing. I need to add that one to my vocabulary.

When he gathered the crew in the “saloon” for the tip meeting, even Glenn admitted, “It wasn’t our easiest charter, but we got through it.” After addressing the safety issues with the water toys, Glenn asked Daisy to address what they can do to improve service. Revealing her stress around this issue, the chief stew asked if they could move on and address it later in private, and Glenn agreed. As the conversation moved on, Daisy was obviously still upset and tearfully excused herself from the meeting.

“Let’s just pause for a minute,” Glenn said, noticing Daisy’s distress as Gary followed her from the room.

“Hey, Dais,” the first mate called after her.

“I’m gonna be fine, I just need five minutes,” she told him. “Honestly, I’m fine. I’m f***ing trying.”

“I know you are,” Gary soothed. “You’re trying your hardest. Don’t let it affect you … The girls are so f***ing grateful for all your help.” And he grabbed her in a bear hug. Finally! She just needed a little understanding, and he showed up for his friend in the end.

This time it was Colin who didn’t understand what Daisy was so upset about. Even though she’d had that conversation with him the night before and expressed her frustration, he said, “I don’t know what she’s crying about.” Come on, Colin. Don’t be a dick.

In a production interview, Gary confessed, “Don’t get me wrong, Daisy annoys the f*** out of me, but I feel very protective over Daisy, and I don’t like seeing her break down like this.”

Glenn followed them down to the crew quarters and told Daisy to “take a moment,” but she assured him she was fine. He told her, “I don’t want you to think I’m picking on you.”

“It’s not you I’m upset with,” Daisy told the captain. “Even though it’s not a personal attack, I’m gonna feel personally responsible.” The pressure just got to her, but she said she was fine now and could return to the meeting. It’s like a pressure cooker. The pressure just builds until it has to be released as steam. Daisy let off some steam, and now she felt better, although a little embarrassed at losing control of her emotions.

“I’m doing the best that I can,” she said, “but I’m human. And there’s only so much f***ing crap I can take.”

Colin stepped in to defend Glenn. “I think it’s important to note that everyone is doing a fantastic job … When [Glenn] gives us constructive criticism, it’s for all of us to improve. He’s not attacking anyone or putting anyone down.” Thank you for that sanctimonious statement, Colin. I think you’re missing the point here.

“You want to talk about frantic?” Colin said in a side interview. “You talk about my first charter [when the engine wasn’t working]. Quite a stressful situation, [but] you didn’t see me crying.” Colin just didn’t understand the pressure Daisy was under.

But what everyone really wanted to hear about was the tip. It was $23,000 US, $2,240 Euros each. (Why does Glenn always say “US dollars” and then switch to Euros? It’s confusing.) A very nice tip. That should turn those frowns upside down.

Following the tip meeting, the guys all went out on deck to hash over what just took place in the tip meeting. Colin didn’t understand why Daisy was being “so defensive.” But then he reopened the issue of Gary going for a cigarette break when the rest of the crew was waiting for him on the flybridge the night before. He called Gary’s making them wait a “bit of a dick move.”

Gary was pissed at Colin chiding him to “lead by example.” And just like that, Gary stalked off muttering, “F*** Colin.” Uh oh. Is their bromance on the rocks? It’s only gonna get worse in the coming weeks.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.

TELL US – DID YOU UNDERSTAND DAISY’S MELTDOWN IN THE TIP MEETING? DO YOU AGREE WITH COLIN THAT DAISY WAS BEING DEFENSIVE? OR DO YOU THINK HE JUST DIDN’T UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH STRESS SHE WAS UNDER?

Below Deck Down Under Stews Who Could Replace Aesha Scott As Chief Stew

  • Aesha Scott may be departing Below Deck Down Under, leaving room for a new Chief Stew to take over her role.
  • Tumi Mhlongo, a standout second stew, could step in to replace Aesha on Below Deck Down Under for season 3.
  • The show must go on without Aesha, and potential candidates like Tumi Mhlongo have the skills to lead as Chief Stew.

With Aesha Scott seemingly exiting Below Deck Down Under , several stews could replace her as Chief Stew. She pioneered the franchise as Captain Jason Chambers’ Chief Stew during seasons 1 and 2 of the Below Deck spin-off. Aesha and Captain Jason had an undeniable chemistr y, working together seamlessly while operating successful charters on the two yachts they worked on. Before her stint on Below Deck Down Under , Aesha appeared in Below Deck Med seasons 4 and 5 as a stew under Hannah Ferrier. She quickly became a fan-favorite crew member, beloved for her bubbly personality.

Her prosperity as a stew on Below Deck Med led to her becoming the Chief Stew of Below Deck Down Under. However, she’s returning to her roots to work as Captain Sandy Yawn’s Chief Stew on Below Deck Med season 9 . Because she’s working on the Mustique again, it’s unclear if she’ll serve as Jason Chamber’s Chief Stew again for season 3. Aesha belongs on Below Deck Down Under , but her exit from the franchise may be inevitably coming, and the show must go on with a new Chief Stew whether fans like it or not.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

Tumi Mhlongo

Below deck down under season 1 & below deck med season 8.

Tumi Mhlongo would be the natural replacement for Aesha on Below Deck Down Under . Her first appearance in the franchise was in the Australian-based yachting series. She worked as Aesha’s second stew during Below Deck Down Under season 1 , where she excelled. After a great season as a second stew, she was promoted to Captain Sandy’s Chief Stew during Below Deck Med season 8. Her time on Below Deck Down Under was arguably much better than Below Deck Med. She had a season-long fight with Natalya Scudder that disrupted their charters and made the show unbearable at times.

Since Below Deck Med season 8, Tumi and Natalya have ended their feud . They got off on the wrong foot after Kyle Viljoen meddled in their relationship. At times, Tumi handled things poorly as Chief Stew. However, after going through a charter season as hectic as that one, she could exceed in Below Deck Down Under season 3. It’s where she got her start on the Below Deck franchise. With Aesha making the switch back to Below Deck Med , they could trade roles and have Tumi take over her position as Captain Jason’s Chief Stew.

Julia d'Albert Pusey

Below deck mediterranean season 1.

Julia d'Albert Pusey was Hannah’s second stew in the first season of Below Deck Med . She helped pioneer the spin-off that has gone on to become a smash hit. Julia had a positive attitude during Below Deck Med season 1, which is essential for success as a stew in the yachting industry. She went into the season with nearly eight years of experience, making her well-qualified for the job. Julia has gone on to pursue different avenues of business, but Below Deck Down Under would benefit from having her as Captain Jason’s Chief Stew.

Xandi Olivier

Below deck season 11.

Xandi Olivier was a great second stew under Fraser Olender during Below Deck season 11. Working with the experienced Chief Stew, Fraser took a natural liking towards Xandi for her hardworking nature. She didn’t complain when he gave her jobs and knew how to do her job correctly. At times, the interior team on Below Deck season 11 clashed, but Xandi was rarely in the drama . She butted heads with Barbie Pascual at times but did a good job at resolving every conflict she was caught up in.

Fraser Olender

Below deck season 9-11.

Fraser has the experience needed to take on Aesha’s job in Below Deck Down Under . He first joined the franchise during Below Deck season 9. Fraser did such a great job working as a stew during his first season that he was immediately asked back as the Chief Stew for Below Deck season 10. He made franchise history by becoming the first male Chief Stew on the show and subsequently came back for the show’s eleventh season. He possesses a witty charm that the interior team head needs to appeal to all the crew members and charter guests.

Throughout Below Deck season 11, Fraser gained more experience. He made mistakes along the way, letting his feelings about some of his stews impact his professional decisions. He worked well alongside Captain Kerry Titheradge, who guided Fraser in the right direction. No Chief Stew is completely perfect, but Fraser’s ability to appeal to the guests and right his wrongs makes him the perfect option for Chief Stew of Below Deck Down Under season 3.

Katie Flood

Below deck med season 6.

Heading into Below Deck Med season 6, Katie Flood had big shoes to fill. She preceded Captain Sandy’s longtime Chief Stew, Hannah Ferrier. Hannah is one of the most beloved Below Deck personalities ever, so it was unclear who would replace her on the show. However, Katie served as the best replacement for Hannah when she appeared in Below Deck Med season 6. She had a lot of experience and excelled at the head of the interior team. She’s only had one season in the franchise, but that doesn’t mean she couldn’t return for Below Deck Down Under season 3.

Jaimee Neale

Below deck down under season 2.

Jaimee Neale was one of Aesha’s stews on Below Deck Down Under season 2. She joined the series to replace controversial crew member, Laura Bileskalne . Aesha’s second stew, Laura, was fired after justifying Luke Jones’ sexual misconduct towards Margot Sisson after a night of drinking. Margot explained that Luke had entered her bunk naked and tried to get in bed with her and the producers had to step in and get in and out of the room. Aesha reported the incident to Captain Jason, and he was fired immediately.

Instead of feeling sympathy for Margot, Laura was more upset that Luke had left the boat. Captain Jason then fired Laura for her stance on the situation. It was one of the worst moments in Below Deck history. When Jaimee stepped in, she became a lovable personality on the show. She has previous experience working for Captain Jason, meaning she knows how he likes things to run on board. For this reason, she should step up as Chief Stew on Below Deck Down Under season 3.

Barbie Pascual

Barbie would be TV gold as the Chief Stew for Below Deck Down Under . Entering the franchise on Below Deck season 11, she had quite the journey as one of Fraser’s stews. Barbie had much to learn during the season and started to be quite combative and dismissive of her superiors. She disrespected Chief Stew Fraser and his second stew, Xandi, quite a few times. Barbie and Fraser fought during the first half of Below Deck season 11, and her attitude almost got her fired. However, Captain Terry recognized that she was a hardworking stew, and opted to keep her around.

After Captain Terry had a talk with Fraser and urged him to make amends with Barbie, her attitude shifted in Below Deck season 11. She admitted that she looked up to her Chief Stew and wanted to perform well as one of his stews. Her vulnerability and honesty served her extremely well and allowed her to get closer to Fraser. Barbie learned a lot during Below Deck season 11 and could apply her newfound knowledge as Chief Stew on Below Deck Down Under .

Daisy Kelliher

Below deck sailing yacht season 2-4.

Daisy Kelliher is one of the best Below Deck Chief Stews to appear in the franchise. She’s the longtime Chief Stew on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, joining the series during season 2 and staying through season 4. Daisy is known for her manners and service. She is a genuine person who comes off as endearing. Unlike other Chief Stews in past seasons, Daisy cares about her crew and makes sure to set her team up for success. Jenna MacGillivray was a good Chief Stew during Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 1, and Daisy was the best option to replace her.

Because Aesha is joining Below Deck Med, Captain Jason may have to hire her replacement for Below Deck Down Under . It will be devastating if the Chief Stew doesn’t return for the spin-off's third season. However, Captain Jason has a large pool of potential candidates that would work great for him on Below Deck Down Under .

Below Deck Down Under Stews Who Could Replace Aesha Scott As Chief Stew

Below Deck renewed for Season 12: What about Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Sailing Yacht?

Aesha Scott and Daisy Kelliher confessionals

Below Deck Season 12 has been confirmed, but there are still so many questions regarding the future of Below Deck Sailing Yacht and Below Deck Down Under.

Last week, Bravo announced that several shows have been green-lit for another season, with Below Deck Season 12 at the top of the list.

As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Captain Kerry Titheradge and a couple of Season 11 crew members will be back for another season of the OG show.

While the return of Below Deck is undoubtedly great news, fans are worried about the lack of renewals for Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

So, should Below Deck fans be concerned about the future of the Below Deck spin-offs?

Let’s take a look at what we know.

Why were Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Sailing Yacht not renewed by Bravo?

There’s a very good reason why the two Below Deck spin-offs were not renewed right now. Neither of their already-ordered seasons have aired yet, so Bravo isn’t in a rush to get a new season in the can.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 and Below Deck Down Under Season 3 have been filmed and will eventually air on Bravo.

Last month, Bravo revealed that Below Deck Med Season 9 will premiere after Below Deck Season 11 wraps, rather than Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 , as fans had hoped.

The schedule change and the lack of news about Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Sailing Yacht have fans in a frenzy. But there’s no reason to fear the two Below Deck spin-offs are done for good.

After all, Below Deck Med wasn’t renewed for Season 10, and we all know the Captain Sandy Yawn spin-off isn’t going anywhere before the milestone season.

It means we must wait until the already-filmed seasons air before getting news on future ones. Honestly, at this point, we would be happy with info on the seasons of Below Deck Sailing Yacht and Below Deck Down Under that have been filmed.

More Below Deck news

The Below Deck world has been busy over the past week with lots of information coming out, including Fraser Olender and charter guest Steven.

Below Deck Med star Aesha Scott got engaged to her longtime love, Scotty Dobson.

Captain Sandy Yawn married her longtime love, Leah Shafer, last weekend, with several Below Deck fan favorites in attendance for the nuptials.

There’s also not great news for a Below Deck Season 11 reunion show, but not all hope has been lost just yet.

Captain Jason Chambers has shared a message with Below Deck Down Under fans while they wait for Season 3, and it’s so good!

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Below deck: 8 reasons fraser olender should come back as chief stew for season 12, below deck's captain kerry threatens ben & kyle as feud intensifies.

Warning: This article contains potential spoilers for Below Deck season 12.

  • Ben Willoughby, a notable Below Deck crew member from season 11, may not return for season 12.
  • Ben's controversial boatmance with Marie "Sunny" Marquis has caused chatter among fans.
  • Ben has clashed with co-stars like Captain Kerry Titheradge and Barbie Pascual, impacting his future on the show.

Below Deck crew member Ben Willoughby shares if he plans to return to the franchise in 2025. The Ripley County, Indiana native debuted as a deckhand in Below Deck season 10. He showed exceptional skills and became the lead deckhand within the first five episodes. In 2024, Ben joined Below Deck season 11 . He earned another promotion and assumed the role of bosun. Besides earning the promotion, Ben was also successful at sparking a boatmance . He impressed Canadian Deckhand Marie "Sunny" Marquis , which became a controversial subject on Captain Kerry Titheradge's boat.

Since Ben is one of the most notable names on the show, fans have wondered if he plans to be a regular on the franchise like some of the former cast members, such as Kate Chastain. Thankfully, Ben has shared his two cents on the subject and revealed what is in the future for him. Recently, he answered a fan who asked, "will you return next season?" The bosun wrote, " don't count on it, " telling viewers not to get their hopes up about seeing him return in Below Deck season 12.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

Is Ben Willoughby Dragging Down Below Deck Crew?

Ben had a public fight with his below deck co-star, barbie pascual.

Ben has been blunt about his feelings for fellow cast members and whether he wants to work with them again. Previously, the bosun posted an Instagram Story in which he refused to work with Captain Kerry. He wrote, "I will never work for Captain Kerry in the future." In May 2024, he found himself in a heated feud with Barbie Pascual on social media, sparked by a photo he posted without her consent. The stew told him to stop embarrassing himself. However, Ben escalated the fight by accusing Barbie of "blowing smoke up people's a**."

It seems like Ben doesn't want to return to Below Deck . However, that doesn't mean he'll quit the franchise. The Below Deck bosun doesn't want to work with Captain Kerry but can still be part of Captain Sandra "Sandy" Yawn's team.

Captain Sandy is far more peaceful and known for her soft leadership. She may be someone Ben could work with in the future. The bosun could also join the Below Deck Sailing Yacht . Captain Glenn Shephard is compassionate and treats his crew like his kids . Ben may enjoy working with him because of his kind nature.

Unfortunately, Ben will have to fix his behavioral problems if he ever wants to stand out again. The new bosun has ruined his reputation by showing problematic behavior throughout season 11.

He has become a villain, someone many viewers don't want to see on the show again. Ben must alter his attitude if he wants to continue his reality TV journey. The bosun must show behavioral improvement and an ability to co-exist with his team. Another controversial bosun, João Franco, was also unlikeable in the Below Deck spin-off. However, he fixed his image by showing genuine change and quitting alcohol.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo, then streams the following day on Peacock.

Below Deck Recap: Cabin-Inspection Fever

below deck sailing yacht season 6

We’ve made it to the final chapter of the season, which merits congratulations to the crew on their hard work and, more importantly, to us viewers for sticking with it. Alas, the biggest drama we get is about salt levels.  Below Deck  seasons   tend to follow a bell curve of drama, with a peak in the middle when firings or quittings happen and then tapering out toward the end, where we are now. A part of me is still holding out for the possibility of an explosive finale, but it looks unlikely. Everyone is tired, ready to finish up and return to Miami. I can relate to the tiredness, but I personally have no desire to go to Miami.

Before the charter starts, Fraser asks Paris if there’s tension with Nick. She says there’s not, but the editors hit us with a flashback montage of their clashes. Paris is either lying, in denial, or suffering from short-term memory loss. Going forward, she promises to stay in her lane. Later, Nick eats a sandwich in the crew mess, and there’s a mayo bottle conspicuously in the shot. I think it’s symbolic of a new peace with mayo-loving Paris.

As everyone gets the boat ready, Barbie calls a friend to brag about how much she’s been working, but this is intercut — and thus undercut — with her texting while Paris and Xandi clean. Barbie tells us she’s ready to return to her bougie life in Miami. Although for the first week back, Kyle’s going to hang around. He changed his flight so they could spend more time together.   Fraser predicts to Xandi that Barbie will break up with Kyle when they get off the boat and she realizes he doesn’t fit into her normal life. For now, though, they’re going strong. Later on, they say casual “I love you”s to each other over laundry, and Kyle confides in Sunny that he’s confident about the relationship post–St. David.

It may be the last charter, but Kerry is not going to tolerate any slacking. On his walk-through, he finds unrinsed jet skis and a sloppily coiled hose and calls out the exterior crew. Ben is annoyed by the micromanaging. We’re not told whose fault it is, but it could be anyone. Sunny and Kyle may have been distracted or still grieving after a brief funeral for a dead rat they found. Dylan may have been too weak: He’s losing muscle weight without his normal two hours a day of training. When they drop anchor, Sunny and Ben give it four shackles on the waterline when Kerry said four shackles  on deck . Somewhat understanding this jargon makes me think I’m qualified to be a yachtie. Is this the gateway to lying on my resume about yachting experience and one day getting cast on the show, only to be fired a few episodes later? Anyway, it’s about three meters difference, and Ben doesn’t think it’s a big deal. Three meters is almost ten feet, which seems substantial. That’s a whole flight of stairs, the length of a kayak, or approximately two Dolly Partons.

Last week, the preference sheets claimed, “These ladies travel together often,” but this week, we learn that was an outright lie. The primary Michele has brought these seven women together, but they hadn’t all met before this trip. I wonder if there was drama about Tya getting the “best friend” lower third when others were relegated to “sorority sister” or “business partner.” The women have requested a sunset reiki session that looks lovely. The reiki healer Sara says they’ll be “in that vibration” for 24 hours, which feels somewhat threatening.

Earlier at lunch, the guests think the edamame purée and scallops are salty, but Barbie mishears them and tells Fraser they want more salt. Fraser relays this to Nick, and this game of telephone will end how most do (not well). This isn’t Barbie’s only transgression — she also asks Xandi for a break to redo her makeup, which Xandi denies. Barbie is also 25 minutes late coming back from her break. Fraser has to wake her up from her nap. Maybe the reiki vibrations knocked her out.

Kerry continues to be vigilant and notices the Jacuzzi isn’t warm. He also lowers umbrellas himself because the wind is too high. Later, he sees the reiki mats and pillows weren’t cleaned up when the deck crew is already eating dinner. Kerry’s annoyed and makes them clean it up before finishing their dinner. This is a classic case of senioritis. There’s no motivation to get good grades when you know you’re guaranteed to graduate, or in this case, not get fired with only days left. Ben thinks Kerry is too military-esque, and that’s backed up by a flashback montage of Kerry’s inspections and disappointments in the crew. This is the second montage of the episode and dares to include the unrinsed jet-ski scene we saw less than 20 minutes ago, so it really feels like the editors are cobbling together anything they can to fill the hour.

Ben is being kinder toward Sunny than Kerry, and the not-couple agrees they want to see each other after the season. Ben’s open to the possibility of a relationship. Finally, Sunny feels like they’re on the same page, but her guards are rightfully still up. She’s nervous to see if the boatmance transfers to the real world. She tells Dylan that Ben is definitely her type: “Sporty, athletic, confident … hairy.” “Hairy” can mean (a) having lots of hair or (b) difficult, and Ben sure fits both those definitions.

For dinner, there’s a vague Parisian theme, and Nick’s doing a French menu. He was trained in French cuisine so he’s excited about it. We see him tell Fraser his menu plan in the afternoon; pre-planning menus together seemingly has gone out the porthole.   That night, Fraser says Nick’s salad looks divine. Unfortunately, Michele doesn’t like arugula, but it wasn’t on her preference sheet, so Fraser and Nick are allied for once against a picky primary. The lobster main dish is too salty for her, but Fraser stays positive — the other guests love the food. Thankfully, Michele loves lemon, so dinner ends on a high note with a lemon tart. I’m not sure if the chantilly cream came from the gas canister, but if it did, Nick finally got the consistency right. What a character arc.

The next morning, Kerry announces he’ll be doing cabin inspections at 6 p.m. tonight. It’s for health-and-safety standards to make sure there are no fire hazards or exits blocked. And possibly for the producers to eke out a tiny last morsel of conflict to fill another episode. Kerry doesn’t care that it’s the last two days of the charter, but Ben is saltier than Nick’s food and has no intention of cleaning up: “What’s he gonna do, fire us?” Ben pretends it’s because the guests are his priority, but then we cut to him and Sunny horsing around lifting each other up. Ben’s true priority is flirting.

At breakfast, Fraser suggests omelets, but Michele orders a salmon benedict with no salt. Nick jokes that he sees why she got divorced. I for one respect a woman who knows what she wants and communicates that clearly. That afternoon, the ladies go on a beach picnic. Nick forgot aluminum foil to keep the food warm and says he’ll make a list next time. There won’t be a next time, so it all feels devoid of real stakes. Paris, a perfectionist, thinks Nick is lazy and disorganized, but she doesn’t say anything other than “I’m staying in my lane.” Despite Paris’s passive aggression, the meal goes over well. When it comes time for dessert, Brandi, one of the guests, doesn’t want a crème brûlée and says Paris can have hers. Paris and Sunny eat it and the extra, but then Michele asks if it’s still there. Fraser is livid. This is a huge cliffhanger for a commercial break, but of course it’s quickly resolved. Fraser sends Paris to talk to the guests, and Brandi acknowledges that she gave the crème brûlée to Paris, and they all laugh about it. Now I’m craving crème brûlée.

That evening, it’s time for the cabin inspections. Fraser has tidied up for the occasion, and his bunk is super-neat. The little narc that he is, Fraser volunteers to join Kerry to make the rounds. I wasn’t expecting Kerry to actually give the rooms grades, and I love that he judges them on a 1 to 10 scale. Fraser gets a 10, Dylan and Nick earn a 7, Paris and Xandi a 9, and Barbie and Sunny a 7. Instead of a number, Ben and Kyle’s room gets a “What the hell is going on here?” They made no attempt to clean, and Kerry’s pissed. He calls them up to the bridge and says that it was blatant disrespect, especially when he’s been helping them out on deck. We’ll have to wait till next week to hear their defense.
