MAGIC Yacht for Charter

Northern Marine launched MAGIC in 2005 with exterior and Interior design by Ward Setzer. Her 6.6-foot (2m) shallow draft allows this luxury yacht to venture to the most beautiful islands. During her 2018 refit, MAGIC had stabilizers installed to provide her guests with a smooth passage or while at anchor.

At 130-foot (39.6m), MAGIC provides extensive space over her three decks and this volume is matched by her generously proportioned interior.

The charter yacht accommodates 10 guests in five elegant staterooms. MAGIC’s staterooms include a full-beam master suite on the main deck with a walk-in dressing room, it’s own laundry room, Jacuzzi bathroom and a study, which connects the suite to the lobby. Further guest suites are located forward and aft on the lower deck and include a VIP stateroom, two double cabins and a twin cabin complete with en-suites. MAGIC also accommodates seven crew.

MAGIC showcases a sophisticated and traditional interior. The superyacht interior is filled with light from large deck windows, which beautifully highlight the fluted column details in the satin-finished raised-panel Honduran mahogany, which contrasts beautifully against her light furnishings and marble features.

Guests can choose one of MAGIC’s many lovely spaces to relax and unwind, from a protected aft deck lounge to a comfortable main salon which is connected to the deck space by glass sliding doors.

MAGIC’s elegant and formal dining room seats 10. Guests will love the bespoke menus prepared by the yacht’s chef.

Charter yacht MAGIC was designed for entertaining and her sundeck certainly provides a fantastic space for this. The sundeck features a Jacuzzi surrounded by a glass-topped bar/grill, plenty of cushioned sunpads and loungers.

The 129.99ft Custom motor yacht motor yacht ‘Magic’ was built by Northern Marine Co in the United States. Last refitted in 2014, her interior and exterior design is the work of the Setzer Design Group.

Magic’s interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests overnight in 5 cabins, comprising a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 2 double cabins and 1 twin cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 7 crew onboard in 7 cabins to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

You’ll find many leisure and entertainment facilities onboard, making her ideal for entertaining friends and family on your charter vacation. There’s lots of space for enjoying an alfresco lunch or dinner on deck, or simply lounging in the sunshine and working on your tan.

Magic has a maximum speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 37,854 litres fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles at 14 knots.

A Jacuzzi on deck is just perfect for relaxing with friends and family, while taking in the breath-taking scenery after a long day of exploration.

Wi-Fi connection is available throughout, so you’ll be able to stay connected while you’re away, great for business, checking emails or sharing your experience on social media.

Luxury motor yacht magic, built in 2004 by american shipyard northern marine, sees a contemporary departure for the company who usually builds heavy, trawler-style vessels. with a fibreglass hull and superstructure she features interior and exterior design by setzer design group. this elegant vessel measures 39.62 metres and can accommodate up to 10 guests..

Motor yacht Magic was the largest built by Northern Marine at her launch although she has since been succeeded by the 46 metre Lia Fail. Owners Merlin and Carolyn Hanson requested she be created to reflect a high-speed vessel with a displacement hull easily used in shallow waters. To accommodate this request the luxury vessel was designed with a 6' 10" shallow draft ideal for island cruising, and she is powered by MTU 12V-2000's with 1480 horsepower that ensure she is both economical and high-performing.

The super yacht is spread over three decks and her layout ensures extensive space is created for all staterooms as well as focusing on generous inside and outdoor public areas. The interior is a reflection of the traditional yachts of the 1930s, using timeless details like fluted columns and intricate mouldings to set-off satin-finished raised-panel mahogany. The interior design is highly personalized, featuring significant input by Carolyn Hanson and a handpicked group of stylists.

On the main deck can be found a large sheltered aft deck lounge that connects to the main salon through sliding glass doors. The formal dining salon is also located on this level, serviced by a large and well-equipped gourmet galley. Besides the guest accommodation, the lower deck also houses a guest laundry room and a large walk-in luggage locker tucked neatly beneath the curved staircase descending from the main-deck foyer.

Designed with entertainment in mind, motor yacht Magic’s exterior spaces are a highlight of her design. Particularly noteworthy is the open sun deck fitted with bar/grill area and a large spa tub. The bridge deck is accessed via a stairway that delivers guests to a lobby equipped with a dayhead and dumbwaiter service area. Aft can be found the bridge deck lounge; a covered space boasting lounging cushions and teak decking.

Amongst her five cabins are an indulgent owner’s suite; two King staterooms; one Queen stateroom; and one double/twin cabin. Located forward on the main deck, the full-beam owner’s suite features a generous walk-in dressing room, laundry room, and a private bathroom with Jacuzzi. A neat office connects the suite to the entrance lobby. The two King staterooms are located aft on the lower deck, while the two remaining guest suites are found forward. Each includes marble en suite baths.

Featuring a dedicated crew, Magic cruises comfortably at 15 knots while her crew of seven under the direction of Captain Dave Ober ensure the needs of every guest are met.

Motor yacht Magic is an award winning vessel, winning the 2005 Pacific Northwest Superyacht Society Design Award.

From March 11-24 of this year, Perotti and Sanlorenzo Yachts UK brought their Sanlorenzo 90A to St. Katharine docks in Southampton, presenting a great opportunity for their burgeoning British customer aficionados to experience the brand in a classic London setting. The 28-meter asymmetric customized build entertained visitors with light, modern interiors displaying wood, marble, and fabric textures in dignified interiors by Bernardo Zuccon.

Iconic images of the yacht sailing the Thames River underscored the brand’s quality and innovation. One unique feature involved moving the port side deck on the 90A to the upper deck, delivering a more spacious salon with larger interior volume and a second salon above. This 24-meter design sleeps eight guests, and has a cruising speed of 25 knots, with an 1100 nm range at eco cruising speed of 10 knots.

Announced in a press release May 18 th , Sanlorenzo proudly raised the bar on sustainability in superyachts with the first unit of the 50Steel , Almax, at their La Spezia yard. The technology achievement marked the world’s first superyacht to feature the Reformer-Fuel Cell system, developed in collaboration with Siemens Energy . Perotti explained that the yacht transforms green methanol into hydrogen, then into electrical energy to power the yacht, eliminating the need for storing large amounts of hydrogen on board to power all of the yacht’s hotel systems.

The exclusive event commemorating the launch of the world's first Reformer-Fuel Cell powered yacht ... [+] embodies Sanlorenzo's pioneering spirit, according to Sanlorenzo Chairman and CEO Cav. Massimo Perotti.

Perotti stated, “With the launch of the 50Steel, Sanlorenzo celebrates a fundamental milestone in its history, in the spirit of innovation and sustainability. The new line of superyachts embodies the pioneering spirit and passion for challenges that have always guided us in the design and construction of our fleet.”

The Reformer-Fuel Cell system powers the ship to a maximum of 100kW with propulsion engines and diesel generators turned off for completely carbon-neutral operation. Covering about 90 percent of the typical usage time of a superyacht with zero emissions, it provides a significant amount of time for owners to enjoy the yacht at anchor while consuming no diesel fuel.

Innovative interior architecture disrupts traditional yacht design through five uniquely staggered decks. The yacht also provides four guest cabins plus an owner’s suite, pools on both the beach club and the sun deck, and a 150-square-meter beach club when all three fold-out terraces are opened. Additionally, the yacht introduces the HER, Horizontal Engine Room, layout that allows a split level with between 2.1 and 3.35 meters of head room.

Sustainability is more than a commitment for Sanlorenzo and Bluegame . The development of hydrogen-powered chase boats at this year’s America’s Cup was a challenge accepted and delivered by an experienced team of hand selected experts.

Described by Perotti as “an extreme project that required two years of development,” he noted that the launch of the first unit for the America’s Cup boat American Magic in March, and the second hull for the French Orient Express team “represents a further step forward in the development of vessels at the highest level of technology and sustainability.”

Able to reach speeds of 50 knots with a 180-mile range, powered solely by hydrogen, the success of the Bluegame project will lead to a BGH hydrogen hybrid multihull in 2026 that promises 80 miles of zero-emission navigation, Perotti informed, adding, “There is no doubt that the project will influence both the innovative solutions that will benefit future product ranges offered by the Sanlorenzo Group, as well as the entire mobility industry.”

Working With Sanlorenzo Founder Giovanni Jannetti

When Perotti took over the company from Sanlorenzo founder Giovanni Jannetti , he agreed to spend the first year learning about Sanlorenzo under Jannetti’s tutelage. Of that time, Perotti acknowledges, “The year I worked alongside Giovanni Jannetti was perhaps the toughest year of my life, but also the one in which I learned the most, starting from the realization that while as a manager you are part of a team, as an entrepreneur you are alone, and this changes the rules of the game.”

Jannetti’s influence continues to guide the shipyard in its approach to luxury yachting, from the understanding of what it means to be an entrepreneur and from the viewpoint of a craftsman who does things with love, passion, and, above all, style. “Giovanni taught us to be the tailors of yachting, to give our best for extraordinary and tailor-made products, never forgetting that our goal is the joy and satisfaction of the customer.”

While there may be many things Jannetti would not even begin to understand about today’s industry operations, his quintessential style remains a pillar of Sanlorenzo Yachts. Perotti summarizes Jannetti’s valuable advice, confirming, “His true gentlemanly demeanor, rich in understatement, which is not easy to find in yachting where grandeur is often the norm, remains a great source of inspiration for me and all Sanlorenzo managers to this day.”

Asking Perotti about his preferences outside of yachting, there are some fun and interesting answers to less pressing questions, mixing business with pleasure.

Arrabbiata or Carbonara? “Arrabbiata,” Perotti responded assuredly, adding “A bit of spice is needed in life and in business.” Mmmmm. San Marzano tomatoes spiced with fresh cayenne peppers, Italian parsley, a few basil leaves, and cloves of garlic. Perfection!

Guest Accommodation

Built in 2007, Black Magic offers guest accommodation for up to 6 guests in 3 suites comprising one VIP cabin and two twin cabins. There are 5 beds in total, including 1 double and 4 singles. She is also capable of carrying up to 3 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, she has impressive speed and great efficiency thanks to her planing hull. Black Magic comfortably cruises at 22 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 38 knots. Her low draft of 1.1m/3'7" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines.

Black Magic knows a thing or two about fun on the water, with a selection of water toys and accessories for you and your guests to enjoy whilst on charter. Principle among these are two SEABOBs, that allow you to skim along the surface or steer under the crystal water and see a variety of aquatic sea life.
