The Dual Mode hull is a highly efficient semi-planing hull designed to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 20% at medium speeds* , guaranteeing superior navigation comfort in a wider range of sea conditions. The double-chine hull, combined with the vertical bow, minimizes the impact of waves and thus offers greater freedom of navigation, cruising comfortably at low speeds for extended durations as well as at higher speeds.

A 130kW/h lithium-ion battery pack can support the yacht’s hotel load for up to 4 hours during the day and up to 8 hours at night. A UTA air extraction system continuously refreshes and treats the onboard environments. The staterooms below deck benefit in particular from the continuous flow of clean air from the outside, filtered to eliminate the majority of airborn particles and odors.

Sunseeker 100 : 30-Meter-Yacht mit aggressiven Linien und XXL-Flybridge

Zahlreiche Werften bauen derzeit in einem Stil, der an eine aufrecht stehende, gläserne Schuhschachtel erinnert und der in vielerlei Hinsicht die aktuelle kubistische Villenarchitektur aufgreift. Sunseeker hingegen ist für ihre neue, knapp 30 Meter lange 100 ihrem eckig-diagonalen Look treu geblieben. Mit seinen aggressiven Linien verströmt dieser Flybridge-Dreidecker eine starke Ästhetik; kantige, schwarze Oberflächen kontrastieren mit dem weißen Rumpf für einen durchaus zeitgenössischen Look: Yacht- trifft Autowelt. Innen bietet sie allen häuslichen Komfort plus einer Reihe von Extras – um diese einzigartigen Momente zu genießen, die eben nur das Leben auf See liefern kann.

Die Sunseeker 100 hat einen Halbgleiterrumpf aus GFK und wurde vom Werftteam im britischen Poole gezeichnet. Die Designer folgten einem klaren Auftrag: „Wir wollten das Profil flach halten, trotz des erhöhten Ruderhauses in der Mitte der Flybridge.“ Das war wiederum dem Wunsch nach mehr Innenraumvolumen geschuldet. Während nun die Außenlinien und die vergleichsweise tief liegende Kommandozentrale vor allem für Geschwindigkeit stehen, zeigt das Interior ein intelligentes Layout, kombiniert mit edlen Materialien und Oberflächen. So bekommen die Eigner auf stilvolle Weise in jedem Bereich das Bestmögliche geboten.

Eigner wollen nah und unkompliziert am Wasser sein

Angefangen am Heck lässt sich der Raum an Bord mithilfe des patentierten Systems „X-Tend“ verändern. Die Sunseeker-Designer und -Konstrukteure hatten zuvor untersucht, wie Eigner die Bereiche Beachclub und Badeplattform nutzen und fanden heraus, dass sie gerne möglichst nah und unkompliziert am Wasser sein möchten. Um die Gästebereiche zu erweitern und gleichzeitig die beliebte Nähe zur Natur zu schaffen, designten sie einen Heckspiegel, der sich in unterschiedliche Sitzbereiche verwandelt und so die Verbindung zwischen achterlichem Gästecockpit und der hydraulischen Plattform optimiert.

Wenn die gläsernen Schanzkleider am Heck des Cockpits offen sind, muss man nur einen Knopf drücken, damit sich das Heck öffnet und eine Doppel-Sonnenliege hervorzaubert, die über der Badeplattform zu schweben scheint. Werden die Liegen nicht genutzt, faltet ein weiterer Knopfdruck sie zurück in den Spiegel. Dieser klappt dann im Ganzen auf und gibt den Zugang zu einer flutbaren Garage frei: groß genug für einen Williams 460-Sportjet-Tender sowie weitere Toys, die zu Wasser gelangen, wenn die Beachplattform untertaucht.

In der höchsten Position bereichert das „X-Tend“-System das Achtercockpit, indem es mehr als einen Meter zusätzliche Loungefläche „aus der Klappe“ hinzufügt. Jetzt kann sich auch die Garage in einen Beachclub verwandeln, mit eingebautem Barbecue und mobilen Sonnenliegen. Die zahlreichen Konfigurationen und Nutzungsmöglichkeiten werden allesamt per Knopfdruck möglich, sodass sich die Sunseeker 100 im Tagesverlauf den diversen Bedürfnissen anpasst.

Das Interior der Sunseeker 100

Beim Betreten des Interiors bringt eine Reihe von fünf bodentiefen Fenstern viel natürliches Licht in den Hauptsalon. Dazu gibt es Glaseinsätze in den Schanzkleidern für ungehinderte und atemberaubende Blicke auf die Umgebung. Der Salon ist mit weißer Eiche, viel Leder und nur den nötigsten Einbaumöbeln ausgestattet, ganz im Stil eines zeitgenössischen offenen Raumkonzepts. Ein niedriges, L-förmiges Sofa gibt in der Lounge den Ton an, hinzu kommt ein Speiseplatz für zehn Gäste. Der Zugang zur gut ausgerüsteten Galley liegt hinter einer versteckten Tür an Backbord.

Zum Eignerbereich geht es durch die Lobby zum vorderen Teil des Hauptdecks. Wie es sich für eine echte Suite gehört, verfügt sie über üppige Stauräume, einen begehbaren Kleiderschrank, einen Schreib- oder Schminktisch, ein mittig platziertes Bett sowie ein Badezimmer mit zwei Waschbecken, separater Dusche und abgetrennten WC-Räumen. Der ganz gewöhnliche Komfort, könnte man meinen, aber was den Raum aus seiner Umgebung hervorstechen und mehr wie ein Atrium als eine Suite aussehen lässt, sind die symmetrisch angeordneten Seitenfenster sowie eine gewölbte Glas-Schiebetür, die hinaufführt zu einem kleinen Eignerdeck auf dem Vordeck – der perfekte Ort für einen ersten Kaffee am Morgen, Yoga oder andere private Momente und dazu ein echtes Plus auf einer Yacht dieser Größenordnung.

Das Unterdeck hält vier Suiten bereit, zwei symmetrische VIPs mittschiffs sowie eine Doppel- und eine Einzelbettkabine weiter vorn. Jeweils mit eigenem Bad und ausgestattet mit den gleichen Annehmlichkeiten wie der Rest des 94 Tonnen verdrängenden Halbgleiters. Da beide Kabinen je ein zusätzliches Klappbett haben, können allein auf dem Unterdeck zehn Gäste bequem nächtigen. Ein exzellentes Feature für Familien oder für Eigner, die den Charterbetrieb in Betracht ziehen.

Die Sunseeker 100 ist 6,90 Meter breit, besitzt ein Innenraumvolumen von 125 Gross Tons, und ihre Rumpflänge bewegt sich knapp unterhalb von 24 Metern. Klassifiziert ist sie daher als Freitzeityacht der CE-Kategorie A und darf damit von Eignern mit entsprechendem Sportbootführerschein gesteuert werden. Allerdings kann eine Yacht dieser Größe einige helfende Hände gebrauchen – für den Betrieb oder um die Gesellschaft bei Laune zu halten. Da macht sich der große Crewbereich im vorderen Teil des Unterdecks gut: Es gibt drei Kabinen mit Bad für insgesamt fünf Personen plus eine Messe. Der Zugang erfolgt über eine eigene Treppe von der Galley aus.

Der Weg zur Brücke

Versteckt hinter einer Wand im Hauptsalon gibt es ein Treppenhaus, das auch zur Brücke führt. Eine Batterie aus drei großformatigen Simrad-Monitoren zeigt sämtliche Navigations- und Bordinformationen an, die reich verglaste Front und die Seitenscheiben eröffnen eine exzellente Sicht. Wenn die Eigner nicht selbst zum Steuerrad greifen möchten, können sie das Geschehen vom leicht erhöhten Sofa aus beobachten. Eine zweite abgerundete Glastür, ähnlich wie die zwischen Mastersuite und Vordeck, führt am hinteren Ende des Ruderhauses hinaus auf die Flybridge.

Die Fly überzeugt mit einem Layout, das sie zu einer echten Ganztagsterrasse macht. Gäste, die von der Treppe aus dem Cockpit kommen, finden einen Spa-Pool vor, Sonnenliegen sowie eine voll ausgestattete Bar, einen Barbecue-Grill und einen Speiseplatz für zwölf Personen unter dem Hardtop. Da das Schanzkleid aus Glas besteht, fällt viel Sonnenlicht herein und die Aussicht zu den Seiten sowie nach achtern ist immer klar. Windgeschützt hinter dem Außensteuerstand stehen Sofas, Seitengänge führen hier von beiden Seiten zum Bug.

Das Vordeck wird sicherlich viel genutzt, weil es leicht zu erreichen ist und auf dem gleichen Level liegt wie die Flybridge. Ein Layout, das zwei oft voneinander getrennte und unterschiedliche Areale zu einer zusammenhängenden und funktionalen Fläche macht. Ganz vorn finden die Gäste eine große und bequeme Lounge mit gegenüberstehenden Sofas plus einen Tisch, an dem sie auch speisen könnten. Fast nahtlos folgt hier eine nach vorn ausgerichtete Liegewiese. Mobile Sonnensegel passen die Fläche an die jeweiligen Bedürfnisse und Tageszeiten an. Dank der Kühlfächer unter den Sitzmöbeln sind kalte Drinks und Snacks immer schnell erreichbar. Von diesem Bereich führen Stufen hinunter zur Vorpiek. So erscheint der Weg vom Steven zum Heck nahtlos und fast frei von Übergängen.

So wird die Sunseeker 100 angetrieben

Während die Sunseeker 100 an Bord exzellente Wohnmöglichkeiten bietet, zeugen ihr markanter Look und die schnellen Rumpflinien von dem Willen, schnell voranzukommen. Erhältlich mit zwei Motoren aus MTUs 2000er-Serie mit entweder zwölf oder 16 Zylindern, erreicht der Halbgleiter eine Vmax von 30 Knoten. Bei einer Reisegeschwindigkeit von 18 Knoten beträgt die rechnerische Reichweite 1300 Seemeilen.

Das Konzept der Sunseeker 100 scheint Anklang zu finden, die zweite schwimmt bereits – komplett in Grau. Weitere Modelle der Serie sind im Bau. Sunseekers CEO Andrea Frabetti begründet den Erfolg folgendermaßen:

Princess 40M

The Princess 40M super yacht, launched in 2012, had the largest resin-infused hull moulded at its time. The accommodation throughout this luxurious yacht is sumptuous, with a five cabin layout for up to 12 guests, with space for up to 7 crew members in complete privacy. The largest of the M Class, this super yacht exudes elegance and style in every detail with personalisation options in abundance and incredible sea-keeping. Power comes from twin MTUs giving a top speed of 23 knots. Cruising speed is around 12 to 14 knots, which gives the boat a fuel consumption rate of 250 to 300 litres per hour and a range of 1,500 miles.

Princess 35M

Following on from the global success of the 40M, a new addition entered the M Class series in 2014 in the form of the Princess 35M . Financial advisors are quick to warn prospective owners that a boat is nothing more than a hole in the water in which to throw money. When it comes to superyachts , you'd better have bags and bags of cash.

As one luxury agent told Business Insider at the Palm Beach International Boat Show: "Buying a boat, it's a huge purchase — and nobody needs a yacht."

A superyacht, generally over 30 meters long, is one of the most expensive assets money can buy, with the largest costing more than a lot of real estate or a private jet. Billionaires like Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Steve Jobs each spent nine figures on their megayachts.

That doesn't include operating costs. Owners should expect to pay about 10% of a yacht's new-build price each year, experts told Business Insider. That's tens of millions of dollars annually for the most luxurious boats.

"It's a small-to-medium-sized business in its own right," said Jeffrey Beneville, a senior vice president at insurance company NFP, where he specializes in consulting clients about yachts.

Unlike many smaller boats, superyachts need staff, not just a captain. Some superyachts have space for dozens of crewmembers , including a chef, engineer, and masseuse for the guests onboard. Each gets an annual salary — the highest-ranking members earn six figures — and benefits. Eric Schmidt's yacht fits a crew of 28 for a ratio of about two crewmembers per guest.

Then there's fuel, dockage fees, routine maintenance, and insurance. The latter hinges on everything from the reputation of a yacht's shipyard to where an owner wants to take it (if a vessel is taking frequent trips to the South China Sea, for example, expect to pay a higher premium). If a superyacht has a support yacht — or a support superyacht, in Bezos ' case — expect to pay another 10% of that boat's price annually.

"The cost to maintain a yacht is so high that they just think that money's getting lit on fire," Matthew Fleissig, the CEO of wealth management firm Pathstone, told BI of his clients who choose to charter rather than own.

One of his firm's clients who does own has a 23-meter yacht valued at $5.2 million. The annual cost to staff, maintain, dock, and insure the boat is $346,297, according to documentation provided to BI. The lion's share is spent on marina fees ($95,970) and maintenance work ($88,408.) While not exactly a Sunfish, that boat is too small to count as a superyacht.

At 106 meters, the Amadea, owned by a sanctioned Russian oligarch , definitely does. The $300 million yacht, which was seized in 2022 and is docked in San Diego, cost $922,000 a month to maintain, a court filing showed: $360,000 for crew salaries, $75,000 for fuel, $144,000 for insurance, $178,000 in dry-docking fees, and $165,000 for maintenance, waste removal, food for the crew, and miscellaneous expenses.

"And that's an inactive yacht that's in the water," NFP's Beneville said.

If it were operational and carrying guests, the costs would be about twice that, or between $20 million and $30 million a year, he added.

Of course, it makes more financial sense for the non-obsessives to charter, and many of Fleissig's clients do. And some owners choose to offer their yachts for charter — the most luxurious cost as much as $1 million a week — to offset the costs.

"If you charter the boat for 50 days a year, it's going to help a lot," Anders Kurtén, the CEO of brokerage firm Fraser Yachts, told BI.

Then again, the running costs don't matter as much at a certain point. "If you're worth $30 billion, it's nothing. And if you're worth $117 billion — and these are the guys we're talking about — they're in it as long as it's still enjoyable for them," Beneville said. "It's not a money thing."

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.  

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.
