Harbour Town is a great stop lots to do, easy access to all needs, Only problem is at low tide there are some real depth problem. Jim Delligatti

Last visited in April. Great dockmaster thoughtfully gave us a slip that would protect us from forecast high winds during the night. Easy in and out. Great shopping and food. Great people watching in beautiful surroundings. Favorite stop. John Wild

Harbourtown Yacht Basin – Hilton Head, SC, ICW mm 565. This is one of the finest marinas on the East Coast. We love this stop because it is a beautiful marina with excellent personnel, services, restaurants, shopping, golf, etc.. It is very convenient to the Atlantic Ocean and is directly on the ICW. It is our favorite launching point for going outside to Fernandina Beach, Florida. Or, if necessary, staying on the ICW is also a very workable option from this location. Sabra Morgan

Subject: More on Harbour Town Yacht Basin Cruising News: We spent a very pleasant night at Harbour Town Yacht basin this past weekend, and we can enthusiastically second all the positive comments that have been posted here before — beautiful place, friendly and professional staff, great service. And that complementary bottle of Chardonnay was a welcome and unexpected treat! Cruisers should be aware, though, that the water in the entrance channel is a bit skinny, and becomes even more so just inside the marina basin. We arrived about 45 minutes or so before dead low tide and, with our draft of 4 feet, found about 3 feet of water under our keel in the entrance channel. This dropped to less than 2 feet of water clearance just inside the marina, roughly alongside the marina office, and then improved again to over four feet throughout the rest of the marina. Cruisers whose boats draw more than 5 feet or so may want to time their passages in and out of the marina for mid-to high tide. Bob and Janet S. M/V Harmony

Stay here often. Great resturants, great bars, great shopping, great service and fairly pricey. This marina is at the top of my list. They just do it right! Marsha and Bob M/V “Threadbare”

This marina is a fun place to stay. During warm wether there is music outside with different guys placing. Makes it nice to sit on the boat deck to listen. There are lots of boats >100′ that stop there, so great to watch. With the restuarants, shops, nice shower area, and helpful marina staff it is a great place to stop. My inexperienced boating companions sure needed the help docking and the gift bottle of wine helped them relax after their 1st boating trip.

As far as entrance to Harbor Town – never had problem – was still low tide. Harbor Town is a favorite stop for us. Would love some local knowledge on exiting Harbor Town via eastbound Calibogue sound to Tybee to ocean. Have done it once. Appreciate your website and info. Best, Capt. John Wild EILEEN H 56″ Alden Pilothouse MY – draft 4’6 or so

Harbour Town

Harbour town is a hit on the island..

Harbour Town Liberty Oak Tree

From Gregg Russell’s summer performances, to the lighthouse, pirate tours and parasailing, Harbour Town offers tons of fun.

Wooden rocking chairs sit facing the marina just waiting for guests to sit, relax, take a break from their exploring and shopping and feel the nice ocean breeze. While the wooden Swiss Family Robinson-style playground waits around the corner for a fun family affair.

There are over 20 gift shops, boutiques and galleries spread around the marina in Sea Pines. Guests can find everything from souvenirs chic dresses at SM Bradford.

Whether you’re looking for fine dining, or somewhere to stop by, Harbour Town has what you need. With a variety of restaurants serving everything from local seafood and burgers to Panini’s, pastries, ice cream, you definitely won’t go hungry here.

The Lighthouse

The red-and-white-striped Harbour Town Lighthouse is one of the most famous landmarks on Hilton Head. The lighthouse, built more than 40 years ago, offers tours and a spectacular view from above. There’s even the Top of the Lighthouse Shoppe. Guests can shop through the variety of souvenirs and local art and take something home with them from this memorable experience.

The Harbour Town Marina homes some of the most beautiful boats in the Yacht Basin, which was designed after a harbor in Italy and built in 1969. With 100 slips and an array of services, this dock is set for the best. They offer daily, weekly and monthly dockage rates, in addition to slip ownership opportunities.

Water Activities

Since Harbour Town is right on the water, there are several oceanic activities to take part in. Kids can get a temporary tattoo and go on a Pirate Tour or the family can go out on a kayaking trip or a Waverunner Safari tour. Guests also have the opportunity to rent a stand up paddle board, waverunner or boat and venture out on the water. For the thrill-seekers, there is also waterskiing, knee boarding, wakeboarding, banana boat rides and even parasailing!
