Standard provisions may cover basic amenities, but additional costs such as fuel, marina fees, food and beverage expenses, and any special requests (e.g., water sports equipment, guided tours) are usually not included and can be arranged for an extra fee. More than 90 days before the charter start date: Clients may cancel their booking and receive a full refund of any amounts paid, less an administrative fee to cover processing costs.

60 to 89 days before the charter start date: Clients are eligible to receive a 50% refund of the total charter fee.

Less than 60 days before the charter start date: No refunds will be available, as we are unlikely to rebook the yacht for the specified period on short notice.

We strongly recommend clients consider travel insurance that covers charter cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness or travel disruptions. This ensures that your investment is protected, and you can look forward to your luxury yacht charter experience with peace of mind.

Immediate Concerns: If your complaint is related to the yacht or services provided during your charter, we kindly ask you to inform the captain or the head crew member as soon as possible. Many issues can be resolved quickly when addressed in real time, ensuring the rest of your charter experience remains enjoyable

Formal Complaint: If your concern cannot be resolved during the charter or if it pertains to issues before or after your yacht experience, please submit a formal complaint in writing within 14 days of the charter's conclusion. You can email us directly at [email protected] .

Investigation Process: Upon receiving your complaint, our customer service team dealing with Ibiza Yacht Charter will conduct a thorough investigation.

Resolution: We aim to resolve all complaints within 30 days of receipt. We will provide you with a written response detailing the outcome of our investigation.

PRACTICAL TIPS FOR RENTING A CATAMARAN If you are thinking about renting a catamaran in Formentera or Ibiza and you do not know how to start looking, in Ibiza Central Charter we collect all the points you need to know before deciding. With this list we intend to advise and help you so that choosing a boat is as easy and simple as possible.

1.- Budget 

Something essential before choosing a boat is the budget and consider approximately how much we want to spend considering all the variables. Here you will have to take into account the price of the boat and extras such as mooring, crew, gasoline, etc. Above all, if you want to make the most of your holidays in Ibiza make the reservation well in advance to get the best prices and so that you do not miss any detail.

2.-Type of catamaran

You have to take into account a series of characteristics when choosing a catamaran, such as length, equipment, capacity, etc. The first thing will be to know the number of people and the needs of each one. Depending on the comfort you are looking for you will prefer to rent a smaller catamaran or one of larger length. Depending on the type of length, the speed will also vary, that is, the greater the length the more speed the boat will reach. You also have to take into account the number of cabins and bathrooms, and their distribution since you can find catamarans with double or single cabins and private or shared bathrooms. If you are looking for the greatest comfort and privacy possible, a catamaran with cabins and private bathrooms will be better. On the other hand, if you are a lot of people or traveling with children, you will prefer boats with a convertible lounge or with bunk beds.

3.-Catamaran rental ... with or without skipper First of all you must know what licenses and requirements you need to navigate. For example, if you have the Recreation Boat Pattern (PER) certificate in Spain you can take a boat of up to 12 meters. We have to check the foreign degrees and see the homologation they have. Anyway, for all those without qualifications or who simply want to enjoy the holidays without thinking about anything, they can rent the service of a professional employer. All the skippers have a high knowledge about navigation and about the waters of Ibiza and Formentera. We recommend renting a catamaran with a skipper and if you do not want to do anything, a cook can solve many things for you. If you choose to rent a catamaran in Formentera or Ibiza with skipper you will not have to worry about anything since he will take care of you to know the best beaches and coves of the islands. Keep in mind that the pattern is an extra service and, normally, is not included in the price. Its price will be between 120 and 200 euros per day depending on the type of boat.

4.-Equipment and extra payments All boats come with standard equipment, such as stereo or refrigerator, included in the price. However, each boat has extra equipment that, in some cases, is mandatory. These packs usually include sheets, towels, final cleaning and dinghy. All this varies depending on the type of boat since, normally, these comfort packs are for weekly charters. In addition to the equipment, we must take into account other extras such as the crew. You will have the option of hiring the skipper, a sailor, and even, in some options, a cook. All these services are charged separately from the price of the boat in some cases and in others of great length is included. Also keep in mind that gasoline is not included in the price and that it will depend on the distance traveled and that, in most cases, the catamarans do not include the mooring in the price either. The rental of aquatic toys is also an extra payment, although in some cases the rental of the boat includes a toy such as snorkeling equipment or a seabob. Finally, those who rent the boat without an employer must pay a deposit or deposit before starting the charter, which will be returned at the end of the same as long as the boat is in good condition and undamaged.

5.-Luggage To prepare your suitcase, keep in mind that space is small and that fewer suitcases are better. All you will need for your nautical holidays are comfortable clothes, swimwear, towels, comfortable shoes, diving goggles and, above all, sun protection. For day charter it is much easier since you will only need bathing clothes, towels and sun protection. The boats already come equipped with everything you need for your vacation so you will not have to worry about carrying things like food utensils or music equipment. 6.- Check-in / check-out The most important thing you should know is that catamarans are rented, normally, for weeks. The weekly charter is usually from Saturday to Friday or from Saturday to Saturday. The arrival times can be more flexible and adapted to your needs, usually on Saturdays at noon or in the afternoon. As for the check-out, it is usually on Friday afternoons or early on Saturday on request because we must have the necessary time to clean the boat before the next reservation. On the other hand, for day charter the entrance time is usually from ten in the morning. The check-out will depend on the type of boat and will be from seven or eight in the afternoon. All this can vary depending on the catamaran and always trying to adapt the schedules to your preferences and needs.

• Consider chartering a yacht on either side of the shoulder season in Ibiza if you would prefer fewer crowds. This is either April to May or September to October.
• In the Balearic Islands, anchoring directly above Posidonia (type of seagrass) preservation areas are not allowed, with fines issued if you break the rules. Protected anchorage zones in the Balearics include: Cabrera, Sa Dragonera, Cala Blava, Portopetro, Punta de L’Avançada and Cala d’Or
• You may find that whilst cruising in the Balearics some bays have color-coded buoys according to boat length. This is to help protect underwater flora and they must be obeyed.
• Most shops will close each day from 2 pm till 5 pm for an afternoon siesta.
• If you are interested in experiencing Ibiza nightlife, remember that most clubs do not open till at least midnight.
• Some coves in Ibiza (such as Aguas Blancas) have areas reserved for nudists.
• Whilst exploring onshore, it is handy to have cash on you, as a considerable number of small, independent businesses in the Balearics will not accept card payment. Luckily, there are plenty of cashpoints dotted around the marinas.

For most Ibiza yacht charters to be secured, you will usually need to provide a completed charter agreement and 50% of the charter fee as a deposit. This is payable once the contract has been signed.

You will have a greater variety of yachts to pick from if you decide to start your charter in Ibiza or Mallorca compared to mainland destinations. Whilst Barcelona certainly has a considerable array of yachts to choose from, it is not as extensive as the islands. 

We also strongly recommend that you book your yacht charter in Ibiza at least three months in advance to ensure you get the yacht you desire. The longer you leave it, you'll find you'll have less choice available.

There is a yacht to suit almost every budget in Ibiza so rest assured that you will find a vessel suitable to your requirements.

But when booking do keep in mind the costs that aren't included in the base rate, namely VAT and the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance). The APA is usually paid in advance of the charter and is commonly set at 30% of the charter fee. This allowance covers expenses such as fuel, berthing, food and drinks, as well as any special requests. 

Please consult your yacht charter broker for any other costs you may need to factor in.

On average, renting a catamaran can cost between 350 to 400 euros for the day and around 5000 euros for a full week. If you need a skipper, that will be an additional cost running at about 150 euros per day. 

Do I need a license to rent a catamaran in Ibiza? 

When renting a catamaran, a license will be mandatory. In Spain, a license is required for boats longer than 6 meters. In addition to holding the proper license, you will need to complete a full nautical CV detailing the types of boats you have skippered and what waters you previously sailed. 

When is the best time to sail in Ibiza? 

Ibiza follows the perfect Mediterranean climate, which makes it pleasant all year round. The summers can get quite hot and dry and the sailing conditions are ideal for all sea lovers. The best time to swim and sail are typically during the months of July and August, but we think that anytime between March and September will be perfect enough to enjoy a week in one of the most beautiful sailing spots in the world. CHARTER FORMENTERA

A charter to Formentera is the stuff that dreams are made of. Just off the coast of Ibiza, Formentera is the smallest and most southerly of the Balearic Islands measuring around 20 km long and about 2 km wide. The beaches have some of the whitest sand that you can find in the Mediterranean and the sea is clear and a beautiful shade of turquoise. There’s a reason that it is often compared to islands in the Caribbean. There isn’t an airport, which helps to make the island even more exclusive, as you can only get there by boat. You can get to Formentera by boat in less than an hour from Ibiza Town and in only a few hours from San Antonio. Our charter Formentera package lets you sample some of its beautiful beaches, swim to some of its tranquil caves or dine in some of its renowned beach restaurants. The beach of Illetes was voted number 13 in the top 25 beaches in the world in Trip Advisor’s 2019 Travellers’ Choice, and when you see it, you’ll know why. You can also visit the nearby private and uninhabited island of Espalmador, which is also only accessible by boat.

Hiring a motorboat in Ibiza is a great way to explore the islands of Ibiza and Formentera, the beaches and its coves. A motorboat will get you where you want to go much faster and you can nip in and out of different beaches and discover more places in a short period of time. They are generally well equipped and excellent for those who want to see and be seen. You can also experience the thrill and shear adrenalin as the boat speeds full throttle across the sea.

Motorboat hire Ibiza offers more flexibility when you book a motorboat versus a sailboat or catamaran, as motorboats are usually available for shorter periods of time and come with a range of optional extras. The smallest of our catamarans is the Lagoon 380 , a beautiful sailing boat with 80 m2 of living surface, manufactured by the prestigious shipmaker Beneteau-Lagoon group.

Of all our catamarans, the Lagoon 380, Lagoon 400, Lagoon 420, Lagoon 42, Lagoon 470 are the only catamarans that we are offering for day charter in Ibiza and Formentera, and not just for full weeks, but also for one-day Ibiza boat trips , even in the high season. Catamaran Ibiza Lagoon 380, one day charter fee for this season

These are the daily fees for our brand new catamaran Lagoon 380 that we offer for day boat charter in Ibiza to sail around the islands of Ibiza and Formentera. We can comfortably fit up to 12 people on board. This catamaran is more than a boat, it is a luxurious floating apartment of 77 m2 (11.60 mx 6.63 m) with stunning sea views.

With capacity for twelve people during the day and six, eight, or ten people to spend the night according to the specific model, you will have at your disposal much more than a charter boat, more than a typical sailboat for rent: you will enjoy a real floating luxurious apartment of 80 meters squared (11.60 m 6.70 m) with unbeatable sea views.

If you have been on board a traditional sailing boat, you will be amazed by the spacious and luxurious lounge with panoramic 360-degree views of this catamaran, with a large and comfortable dining table surrounded by leather sofas. In front of the chart table, there is a full kitchen with an oven, fridge, freezer and three-burner cooker. You will be as comfortable on this stunning boat as you are at home!

What else do I have to pay on a week charter?

• Please note that our catamarans are offered only as a skippered charter, so they are only rented with a professional skipper.
• Most charter boats require you to leave a security deposit that will be registered on the week charter booking agreement and will be returned after check out.
• The column, titled "extras", usually includes the required final cleaning fee.
• The fuel for the catamaran is not included in these fees. Just like when you rent a car, you will have to top off the tank when you finish your vacation. The average cost for fuel for a week-long charter on a catamaran is 300 euros for the entire week, or 15 euro per hour.
• The week charters are scheduled Saturday to Saturday, with check-in at 16:00h on Saturday and check-out at 9:00h the following Saturday. Since the catamaran needs to be back at port by Friday evening, you can spend Friday to Saturday night on board already back in the check-out point.
• The maximum number of occupants of each catamaran is detailed under the People column.
• In order to secure your reservation, you must pay a 50% deposit on your total rental fee and pay the remaining balance one month before your arrival. In some cases, you can pay your remaining balance in cash at check-in.

When the catamarans are rented only for a day charter with no overnight stay, the entire outside part of the vessel: nets, bow seats, dining table, sides, and flybridge is offered for our customers. Please note the interior living space and cabins will remain closed during day charters.

The Balearic Islands have ideal weather conditions for navigating and the sailing season draws bareboat and crewed boat charters from everywhere. The islands are in a privileged geographical position that create a so-called “Mediterranean front” with temperate conditions. What this means is that Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera benefit from weather conditions which make navigation of all types of boats safe between the months of May and October. Mostly sunny weather prevails during these months and only rarely will you experience an odd shower between mid-August and late September. The summer season is warm but the sea breeze always makes it pleasant.

Once you confirm your reservation, your broker will process your payment.

• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is confirmed more than 7 days in advance, a deposit of either $1,000 USD or 50% of the total cost of the reservation (whichever is greater) is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 7 days away, the remainder of the amount due is processed.
• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is made 7 days or less in advance, the total price of your reservation is processed immediately.
• If you are booking for a multi-day charter and your reservation is confirmed more than 30 days in advance, a deposit of 50% of the cost of the yacht is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.

Terms of refunds are dictated by the Charter Agreement. Generally, once a payment is collected, it is non-refundable. In certain circumstances, as dictated by the Charter Agreement, credits can be provided so you will be able to enjoy your yacht charter at a future date that is convenient for you.
