Built by Townsend Bay Marine this yacht was built within the United States. She was officially launched in Port Townsend Wa in 2009 before being delivered to the owner. NEWPORT BEACH — It extends 98 feet and has five staterooms, twin diesel engines, three refrigerators, five freezers and television sets placed throughout. This weekend, it will be up for sale in Newport Harbor for a hefty sum of $5.75 million.

Even for a millionaire boat enthusiast, the Cielo Mare, manufactured by Queenship and exhibited by Hallmark Yacht and Ship Brokers, is a challenge for the checkbook. Still, Don Franken, the spokesman for the 30th annual Lido Yacht Expo, wouldn’t be surprised if the vessel sells by Sunday afternoon.

“Ninety-eight feet is a mega-yacht,” Franken said Wednesday as the last few boats docked for this weekend’s extravaganza at Lido Marina Village. “There’s not many people who can afford one of those. Although in Newport Beach, more than in most places.”

Big sums of money are passed around every year at the Lido Yacht Expo, which is expected to showcase about 250 boats this weekend. The boats and accessories in the show total about $250 million in worth, Franken said. And with a tugboat being auctioned off by the OCC School of Sailing & Seamanship, there’s no telling how high the revenues may climb.

In short, the vast majority of people who attend the four-day expo will likely be priced out of the inventory. For four days, though, the show organizers are giving the public a taste of life on board million-dollar vessels for an admission price of only $12.

“There aren’t a lot of places you can go to look at big boats,” said Duncan McIntosh, the show’s co-producer, who also runs the Newport Boat Show annually in the spring. “Most of the boat shows you see are in convention centers.”

A number of the boats on display in the expo are still for sale this weekend, but many have also been presold. Garret Martin, the owner of McKinna Yachts, is debuting his 69-foot Skylounge model in Newport Beach. The $2.4-million boat, which offers four refrigerators, four staterooms and a 42-inch plasma TV, recently sold to a buyer in Huntington Beach. Dealer John Olson said he signed over his $3.6-million 80-foot Offshore Pilot House to a couple in Oregon.

McIntosh, who lives in Newport Beach and owns the boating publication Sea Magazine, said he only owns a pair of small work boats right now, but he still gets more than enough time on the water.

“People often offer me a boat to use, so I have the best of both worlds,” he said. “It’s like being a grandparent. You can drop the kids off at the end of the day.”

Cookie-too (another boat) has a tower similar to that one and is a revenge. I stepped on the boat in Bimini back in '99 when Mike was still running it, its just as nice inside and does indeed dock right near where the picture was taken. Click to expand...

Many thanks - yes that's the 'other' Snow Goose at her launch on the Tamaki River immediately adjacent to McMullen and Wing's yard. Cooncidentally I was at the launch of Wine and Roses, a 72' GL a couple of years after this. I understand that Snow Goose (#2) was thereafter shipped to the States but Wine and Roses was owned by a local couple. It seems that the first Snow Goose featured in this post was built by the Garlingtons prior to their sale of the business to Jan Landeweer and his family in 1993. Perhaps the 2000 80' GL now has a different name.

By city rail

The City Rail connects areas where there are no metro lines. Connects with the subway at the Moscow railway station. It has 2 lines: Sormovskaya and Priokskaya. The fare by train costs 28 rubles. According to the Citicard Transport Card, the fare is 26 rubles. Also by train you can get to the nearest suburb, or transfer to suburban trains to Dzerzhinsk, Bor, Semenov or Arzamas.

By bus and trolleybus

As of May 2017 in each district of the city there are several city bus routes. The number of trolleybus routes is much less. In one district of the city there are 1-2 trolleybus routes. Trolleybus routes are completely absent in the Leninsky city district. It is worth noting that trolleybuses do not connect the Lower City to the Upper. This is because the trolleybuses do not have enough power to climb the mountain.

The trolleybus network is divided into 3 parts:

• The upper trolleybus network (it unites all three districts - Nizhegorodsky, Sovetsky and Prioksky) with a turning circle on the Minin Square, near the Kremlin.
• The lower trolleybus network (connects Kanavinsky, Moskovsky and Sormovsky districts)
• The Avtozavod trolleybus network (connects all the distant sleeping microdistricts among themselves)

Throughout the city, land trams run. The longest route of all is 417. It connects the outskirts of Avtozavodsky district with the Moskovsky Rail Terminal. The journey takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes. The route passes through the sleeping areas (approximately 75% of the way). Also in remote neighborhoods there are routes of several more trams, but in most cases, they are in the Upper City. By the way, you can reach there by tram 27 or 10 directly from the Moscow railway station.

By marshrutka

Marshrutkas do not stop at every stop. To indicate your intention to exit a marshrutka, press a button and to indicate your intention to enter a marshrutka en-route, you need to wave your hand.

Nizhny Novgorod has not very developed bicycle infrastructure. Special bike paths exist only on the Upper-Volga and Lower-Volga embankments and on Rozhdestvenskaya Street.

The upper city is very hilly and full of steep inclines and even many locals will get off their bicycles and push their bikes up the hill by foot. Drivers can be reckless and pose a danger to cyclists. The roads can also be icy during the winter. City cyclists solve this problem by replacing summer tires with winter tires.

Also, in 2017 the implementation of a new integrated transport scheme of the city began. It provides for a large number of bicycle paths in the Upper City (including on Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street) and in the Lower City.
