Ballast / Displacement Ratio

A measure of the stability of a boat's hull that suggests how well a monohull will stand up to its sails. The ballast displacement ratio indicates how much of the weight of a boat is placed for maximum stability against capsizing and is an indicator of stiffness and resistance to capsize.

A measure of the weight of the boat relative to it's length at the waterline. The higher a boat’s D/L ratio, the more easily it will carry a load and the more comfortable its motion will be. Dynamic 37 er fremragende og elegant forarbejdet både udvendigt og indvendigt ifølge dansk bådbyggeri. Interiøret i kahytterne er lavet af matlakeret teaktræ. Ejerhytten agterud og forhytten er udstyret med komfortable senge og tilbyder afslappet sovekomfort takket være de gode madrasser (i ejerhytten med lamelbund). Agterud er der en stor, let tilgængelig opbevaringsplads, og i forområdet er der to store opbevaringsrum. På BB og STB sørger et skab i hver kahyt for tilstrækkelig plads til tøj og vasketøj. Den rummelige salon tilbyder komfortable siddepladser til op til 7 personer med en U-formet sofa på BB og aftagelige læderpuder. Der er masser af skabs- og opbevaringsplads samt et navigationsbord på STB. På BB-siden er pantryet udstyret med en to-brænder gasblus og ovn, stort køleskab, vask og en arbejdsplads. Dynamic 37 for sale Description: The Dynamic 37, designed by Jan Kjaerulff, is a fast and powerful cruising boat with a classic design, very agile close to the wind. The Dynamic 37 is excellently and elegantly crafted both inside and out according to Danish shipbuilding standards. The interior in the cabins is made of matte lacquered teak wood. The owner's cabin in the stern and the bow cabin are equipped with comfortable beds and provide relaxed sleeping comfort thanks to the good upholstery (owner's cabin with slatted frame). A large, easily accessible storage space is located aft, with two large storage spaces in the bow area. A wardrobe in each cabin provides ample space for clothing and laundry. The spacious salon offers comfortable seating for up to 7 people with a U-shaped sofa on the port side and washable leather upholstery. There is plenty of cupboard and storage space, as well as a navigation table on the starboard side. The pantry, equipped with a two-burner gas stove and oven, large fridge, sink, and workspace, is located on the port side. Under the salon bench on the port side, there is storage space housing a 100L stainless steel fresh water tank, fresh water pump, cooling compressor (for the fridge), and a consumer battery. On the starboard side, there is a small storage space under the salon bench and an 80L stainless steel diesel tank. Under the navigation table seat, there is another consumer battery and the starter battery. De Dynamic 37 is zowel van buiten als van binnen uitstekend en elegant afgewerkt volgens de Deense scheepsbouwstandaarden. Het interieur in de binnenruimtes is van mat gelakt teakhout. De eigenaarscabine achterin en de boegcabine zijn voorzien van comfortabele bedden en bieden dankzij de goede matrassen (in de eigenaarscabine met lattenbodem) ontspannen slaapcomfort. Achterin bevindt zich een grote, gemakkelijk toegankelijke opbergruimte, in het boeggedeelte zijn er twee grote opbergvakken. Aan BB en STB zorgt een kast in de hutten voor voldoende ruimte voor kleding en wasgoed. De ruime salon biedt comfortabele zitplaatsen voor maximaal 7 personen met een U-vormige bank aan BB en afwasbare leren kussens. Er is voldoende kastruimte en opbergruimte, evenals een navigatietafel aan STB. Aan BB bevindt zich de kombuis, uitgerust met een tweepits gasfornuis en oven, grote koelkast, gootsteen en een werkblad. After migrant boat tragedy, Senegal’s president vows sanctions against people smugglers

DAKAR, Senegal (AP) — President Bassirou Diomaye Faye of Senegal promised severe sanctions against people smugglers during his visit on Wednesday to the town of Mbour, the departure point of a boat that capsized on Sunday, killing at least 37 people.

“We will relentlessly track down and punish with the greatest severity the actors who organize these convoys of death,” Faye said.

Mbour, a coastal city in Senegal nearly 80 kilometers (50 miles) south of the capital Dakar, is one of many places from which young Senegalese people embark on a treacherous journey to Europe, trying to cross the Atlantic Ocean in pirogues, artisanal fishing boats.

One of these boats heading to Europe left Mbour on Sunday afternoon before capsizing a few miles (kilometers) off the coast.

There were 89 people on board, Faye said, and at least 37 died. Only three survivors have been found so far.

“Your life is of inestimable value,” Faye told Mbour’s residents on Wednesday. “You have a central role to play in the future of our country. We are determined to offer you real and dignified opportunities, here, at home, so that this sea never again becomes a cemetery for our children.”

The French Navy is continuing to search for other bodies, and the captain and owner of the pirogue was arrested after he turned himself in on Monday.

In recent years, the number of migrants leaving West Africa through Senegal has surged with many fleeing conflict, poverty and a lack of jobs. Most head to the Canary Islands, a Spanish archipelago off the coast of West Africa, which is used as a stepping stone to continental Europe.

Last month, the Senegalese army said it had arrested 453 migrants and “members of smuggling networks” as part of a 12-day operation patrolling the coastline. More than half of those arrested were Senegalese nationals, the army said.

In July, a boat carrying 300 migrants, mostly from Gambia and Senegal, capsized off Mauritania. More than a dozen died and at least 150 others went missing.

The Atlantic route from West Africa to the Canary Islands is one of the deadliest in the world. While there is no accurate death toll because of the lack of information on departures from West Africa, the Spanish migrant rights group Walking Borders estimates the victims are in the thousands this year alone.

Migrant vessels that get lost or run into problems often vanish in the Atlantic, with some drifting across the ocean for months until they are found in the Caribbean and Latin America carrying only human remains.
