Glandore Cork: Things to do, Food + Pubs
The harbour is host to an array of marine life, such as grey herons, oystercatchers and seals. The greater bay area located between the Galley Head and Toe Head is known for dolphins, porpoises and whales. Every year, the local yacht club organizes 16+ courses for junior sailors though there are also adult courses as well as powerboat courses too.

Glandore Harbour Yacht Club We sail in the waters of Glandore Harbour, on the West Cork coastline, protected from southerly swells by Adam and Eve Islands. Once inside Adam the bay opens out to provide a large sailing area of inner and outer harbours, where we usually enjoy both wind and flat sea, perfect for open boat racing.

Sailing in Glandore
This is a more sheltered area lying between Glandore Village and Union Hall, perfect for dinghy and short evening racing. This is also where we have our moorings. Outside Adam island in Glandore Bay cruising boats can sail westward to Castletownshend, Baltimore and Cape Clear, or eastward to Kinsale and Cork, not to mention southwards to France.
