Lil Yachty Checks His Artist Over Use Of N-Word: 'You Shouldn't Say That'

Lil Yachty has often used his reach in the music industry to elevate other artists and those signed to his Concrete Boys imprint are evidence of that — but there are certain things he won’t do, even for his signees.

In late September, the 26-year-old hosted his label’s roster on A Safe Space Podcast to discuss everything from music to dating to friendship. However, it wasn’t until recently that a clip involving Karrahbooo , who calls herself the “First Lady of Concrete,” began circulating online.

The interview clip shows the rising star defending her use of the n-word, despite being criticized for it by fans and and those who listen to her music.

“I do, like, get kinda annoyed how everyday somebody’s commenting, ‘Why do y’all keep letting her say n-gga?’ Or they be like, ‘Can you stop saying that?’ Stuff like that, y’know,” she said. “So why don’t y’all go ahead and defend me to everybody right now?”

Boat swiftly shut down her request by replying: “That won’t happen … you shouldn’t say it,” leaving his fellow Atlanta rapper visibly shocked.

Check out the exchange at the 14:29 mark below:

While the discussion around Karrahbooo’s use of the n-word continued, with the group talking about white people using the racial slur, Karrahbooo later clarified that Lil Yachty wasn’t being serious.

“We was playing y’all don’t know us anyways idgaf smdd,” she wrote in a comment on The Neighborhood Talk ‘s Instagram post. “I’m black idgaf what y’all talm bout y’all don’t know me bored ass people.”

Karrahbooo is relatively new to the game, though she had one of her first big industry hits earlier this year with “BOX THE 40.” Released in late March, the music video features a cameo from Lil Yachty and has over 230,000 views on YouTube.

More recently, she rapped alongside Lil Boat and the rest of the Concrete Boys crew in an On The Radar freestyle that premiered in late October.

“Ain’t no n-gga that I trust to knock off the dust/ Walk with that sack under my arm ’cause stackin’ up a must/ I crushed the Perc’ into the Tuss’, too geeked up to fuss/ Move like a boss, I’m not like them, they doin’ such and such,”</em” she rapped to close out the cypher, demonstrating that Yachty is most likely okay with her using the n-word after all.

Lil Yachty Crashes Out On Karrahbooo & Mitch In Explosive IG Live Rant: Unpacking The Beef

Lil Yachty Visits Somewhere Nowhere NYC

Lil Yachty ’s Concrete Boys crew might not be as solid as he thought. That's especially the case after the rapper hopped on Instagram Live on Thursday night to air out his associates and signees. Despite pledging to stay off the internet for the remainder of the year, Yachty is still keeping tabs on social media narratives, whether or not they are true.

In the late hours of Thursday night, Lil Yachty went on a full-blown rant on Instagram Live where he aired out Karrahbooo for alleged comments she made about her split from Concrete Boys to a Red Lobster employee. Sounds crazy, right? Unfortunately, it didn’t end there as Yachty shifted his fury toward his best friend and A Safe Space co-host Mitch for not defending him against a random Twitter user claiming that the Atlanta rapper is a bad friend. A lot unravelled over a few hours so here’s everything you need to know about the beef so far.

Karrahbooo’s Departure From Concrete Boys

Before we delve into last night’s shenanigans, it’s important to highlight the beginning of this issue. In late July, fans speculated that Karrahbooo left the crew after fans found that she unfollowed her labelmates. Though it was initially rumors, the “Poland” star confirmed that she was, in fact, not a part of the collective anymore. “I'ma say this sh*t one time," Yachty said on Instagram Live. "We have split ways with Karrah as far as this Concrete sh*t. I have nothing to say. Nothing bad to say, nothing negative to say about Karrah. I wish her the best in her career. That's that. ... I don't have anything really bad to say or anything good to say. We just split, you know?”

Friction On The Timeline

It turns out that Yachty had plenty of negative things to say that were weighing on his chest. He just needed something minor to trigger the emotions that had been bottled up. The issues with Karrahbooo seemingly took a turn for the worse after an alleged Red Lobster employee claimed that Karrah pulled up to the restaurant when she was asked about leaving Concrete.

“Bro she walked in my job (red lobster) to order biscuits and I asked her why she left and she immediately corrected me and said I didn’t leave they kicked me out,” user @C_Staxxz wrote . “Saying they were really mean to her and bullying her a lot.” The user then added her own speculation to the mix, writing, “She seemed really hurt behind ts tbh like they really did her dirty and i believe its because her name was the biggest behind yachty if we being real I only started listening to him again because of her. They’re haters and i told her she’ll do just fine without them. F*ck em.” She also added a photo with Karrahbooo to corroborate that the rapper did pull up to Red Lobster.

Mind you, Karrahbooo herself didn’t mention anything on the Internet, and much of the tweet was primarily speculation. Plus, no one can really verify whether Karrah said these things. Ultimately, there’s clearly tension between the two, and neither particularly wanted to spill into the public eye.

The Mitch Situation Unfolds

Just a day before this tweet regarding Karrah emerged, A Safe Space released a new episode alongside Key Glock who witnessed Yachty violating his co-host , Mitch. In a clip that circulated across X/Twitter, Yachty took credit for Mitch’s success, going as far as claiming his co-host wouldn’t have anything going in life it weren’t for him. Glock kept mum throughout the segment. However, a fan clipped that part of the episode and wrote, “Lil Yachty disrespecting his friend in front of Key Glock.” At the time of writing, the clip gained 9.7M views while a repost of the clip siding with Mitch garnered 901K.

“Mitch. Lil Yachty is not your homie. There’s a time and place to have these conversations. Not on a podcast in front of millions of people to dissect and observe. This is lame as f*ck,” the tweet read. “Don’t do favors for people and then hold it over their head. That’s foul as f*ck.”

Lil Yachty Pulls Receipts On Karrahbooo

Yachty laid it all out during his Instagram Live last night, beginning with Karrahbooo, who he claimed was verbally abusive, entitled, and lacked any rap skills His explosive rant initially denied claims that she was bullied before pivoting over to her catalog of music, which he said he wrote entirely and even provided receipts. “I slowed the beat down, I put 808s specifically on your verse so when it got to your part and the beat dropped, everyone would be like, ‘this girl is the craziest one,” he said in reference to her debut freestyle on On The Radar . He later shared the reference track to back his claim.

“I wrote every f*cking verse you've done… I dressed you. I dressed all five of y'all n***as bro. I dressed five n***as every time we stepped out the house. I put an outfit on everybody. I put eight carats of earrings on everybody ear. I put three chains on all y'all neck,” he continued. “I changed your mother f*cking life and you are here lying, talking about some: 'We bully you'... That shit got me f*cked up, bro. You got me f*cked up, bro. You disrespectful, bro. You talk to people crazy. You tell people that they are nothing. You tell people you're going to spit on them. You tell people they poor and you talk to my f*cking label crazy. You claim I was stealing money.” He also alleged that she put Concrete $900K in the hole and he never recouped on his investment.

Mitch Catches Strays

Quite frankly, this aspect of the entire rant didn’t paint Yachty in the best light. Once again, the powers of social media broke Yachty completely as he bashed Mitch for failing to address random social media users criticizing him. In fact, Yachty’s emotions completely took control of him to the point where he decided to cancel their podcast abruptly. First, he explained that Mitch approached him to do a podcast, which Yachty obliged, in order to help his co-host and friend build a platform.

“I ain't want to do no motherf*cking podcast n***a, I'm a f*cking rapper... I put $400,000 in Mitch pocket,” he said. “I ain’t f*ckin’ with Mitch, bro. I been sleep all day, I wake up to this crazy sh*t. I say, ‘Mitch, how the f*ck you ain’t go on the internet and tell these folks that we playin’, bruh?’” According to Boat, Mitch downplayed the situation, allegedly claiming, “It’s Twitter, bruh. You know how they is.” Yachty then cussed out Mitch for not defending him on the Internet against strangers and subsequently decided to cancel the podcast. “All I do is help people, bruh. I don’t get nothing from none of this sh*t,” Yachty added.

Mitch Clears The Air

In a series of tweets, Mitch finally addressed the narrative surrounding his relationship with Boat. “please don’t let that clip misguide you it doesn’t represent me and yachty’s friendship at all we joke around pretty harsh sometimes too much fr sometimes but irl it’s nothing but respect and love i can’t even get on here and act like it’s not,” he said.

Later, he made it clear that he has always had his own thing going on, even before meeting Lil Yachty. “i ain’t nobody lil bro never been check my history i had stats before i met bro and got even more now, all i ever wanted to do was just focus on the music and being involved in the culture in a positive way i hope none of this hinders that,” he wrote.

Lil Yachty Clashes With Mitch’s Ex/Cousin?

Though it seemed like the dust had settled, a new party entered the chat: Mitch’s supposed ex, Camille. Sharing a voice note to social media, she slammed Yachty for his alleged treatment of Mitch over the years. “Like, I been telllin’ Mitch you’re a bogus ass n***a. I been sayin’ that sh*t ‘cause you are. You are a bogus ass n***a,” she said. Then, she threatened to pull out receipts backing up everything she said.

In response, Yachty quickly tweeted and deleted a voice note refuting her claims . While Camille claimed that Mitch took on a managerial role for Yachty and often had to be in meetings, Yachty said that his co-host had been lying to her the whole time. He went on to say that Mitch only used Camille for a place to stay before revealing that she was, in fact, the cousin that Mitch claimed to have slept with during an episode of A Safe Space podcast. She later fired back on Twitter Spaces.

Lil Yachty and Karrahbooo’s Feud Escalates With Bullying Accusations

Lil Yachty and his former artist Karrahbooo 's feud escalates with bullying accusations.

Lil Yachty and Karrahbooo Continue Throwing Shots at Each Other

On Sunday (Aug. 25), Lil Yachty hopped on his Instagram Story to address Karrahbooo's claims about writing her own rhymes and being bullied. Karrahbooo was part of Yachty's Concrete Boys collective. Although Yachty didn't directly address the 27-year-old rhymer, his message suggested that he clapped back at her allegations.

"Don't throw rocks and hide your hands," Boat wrote on his IG Story post below.

After catching wind of the Atlanta rapper's message, Karrahbooo posted a lengthy statement on her Instagram Story about supporting others in times of need and alluded to Yachty picking on her.

"I'll never forget this feeling, this chapter of my life. I'll never be the same," Karrahbooo penned in her IG Story. "I'll never forget who was there for me. I done chopped people out/spent my last/slapped folks 4 ni**as. I ride every time naturally, but that's just how I am. Nobody owe me sh*t tbh I'm just taking a mental note. I can't even look at most people da same way. To know the truth and watch a grown man with 12 million followers overly lie on my name and publicly bully me for literally no reason at all while I silently been conquering all da sh*t ni**as been throwing me this whole time behind closed doors. I'll never ignore the signs again, and I will never stop, no matter how much they hate me."

In her next IG Story post, Karrahbooo responded to Yachty's aforementioned message, insisting that they could discuss their issues on the phone. She also stated that she just wanted to make peace with individuals in the music scene.

"I never threw rocks and u have my number you big grown b**ch. Leave me alone literally @lilyachty," she typed in her IG Story post. "I never said nothing about sh*t and I still ain't say nothing 'bout what's really going on. I don't want no beef wit you industry people. Just move on wit ur life. Stop tryna bring me down when I stay out the way. I'm done talking. You got it. Yo character gone speak for itself."

Why are lil yachty and karrahbooo beefing.

Things went south between Lil Yachty and Karrahbooo after a fan shared a post on social media and claimed that after bumping into Karrahbooo at a restaurant, the rapper told her she was kicked out of Concrete Boys and bullied during her time on the label . On Aug. 22, Lil Yachty went live on Instagram and denied Karrahbooo's bullying allegations . Boat said Karrahbooo was actually the one bullying others.

"Tell people how you talk to people," Yachty said in his heated video below. "How you tell my security guard, 'Oh, you homeless. You work for me. You're poor. We above you.' You talk to people like they nothing...Tell people how you verbally abuse people. How you said you gon' spit on me when you see me."

"I been letting you do this whole thing where you act like you a princess and you sweet," he continued. "Stop the front, bro. We have withheld your actions since the beginning of me giving you this career. What the f**k are we talking about, bro. You don't even do nothing. It's so crazy to me, bro. ’Cause I've given you a career, and from time to time, you just disrespect me.

Boat then mentioned that Karrahbooo has a $900,000 debt to his label. Afterward, the Quality Control rhymer leaked his reference track to Karrahbooo's 2023 On The Radar Freestyle , suggesting that she didn't pen the lyrics.

Karrahbooo Claps Back at Lil Yachty's Claims About Writing Her Lyrics

On Aug. 23, Karrahbooo went on her Instagram Story to clap back at Yachty by sharing three songs she claimed to write and highlighted their streaming counts.

"Running Late," boasted over 7 million streams, "Where Yo Daddy," garnered 3 million streams and the On the Radar Concrete Cypher freestyle hit nearly 3 million streams.

Karrahbooo captioned the image, "put it on yo kid i ain't these songs [M]iles[.] Stop da cap and leave me out ur internet shenanigans [tears of joy emoji]."

She continued: "Stop bullying me big dawg [tears of joy emoji] i never said nothing u letting random fans get in yo head man up."

During her performance at the Dig in Day Festival in Chicago on Aug. 24, Karrahbooo suggested that Yachty's ghostwriting claims were false.

"Who ain't write it, who ain't write it," she rapped during her performance in the video below.

Boat also said that he’s “never going to speak on this again,” and mentioned that he’s not looking to replace her with another female rapper.

Karrahbooo started as Yachty’s assistant and eventually showed interest in rap because she wanted to turn that into an acting career. “I’m only rapping because I saw Boat doing a movie when I was his assistant, and that’s the day I was like, ‘I want to be a rapper,’ because you can just be an actor from being a rapper if you’re fly enough. That’s how Boat did it,” she said in an interview with Montreality in November. Her rap career started to take off after she had the standout verse on the Concrete Boys’ appearance on the freestyle YouTube show On the Radar .

Karrahbooo has yet to respond to Yachty, but still refers to herself as “Concrete KB” in her Instagram bio .

Lil Yachty Addresses Rumors About Karrahbooo Leaving Concrete Boys

By Tony M. Centeno

July 30, 2024

Lil Yachty & Karrahbooo

Lil Yachty has confirmed Karahbooo left his Concrete Boys group following numerous rumors about her status in the crew. Yachty hopped on Instagram Live on Monday night, July 29, to address the chatter about the sole female in his group. Lil Boat doesn't specify exactly why Karrahbooo split from the crew. However, he emphasized that he has nothing bad to say about her and wished her well with all future endeavors. "How do I wanna say this," he said into the camera. "I'mma say this s**t one time. We have split ways with Karrah as far as this Concrete s**t."

Lil Yachty confirms Karrahbooo is no longer part of ‘Concrete Boys’‼️ “I don't have anything really bad to say or anything good to say. We just split, you know, and I wish the best for Karrah in her career.” pic.twitter.com/txuGcEBj7w — RapTV (@Rap) July 30, 2024

"I have nothing to say," he added. "Nothing bad to say, nothing negative to say about Karrah. I wish her the best in her career." Karrahbooo had her own following before she was revealed as a founding member of the group earlier this year. Yachty announced the crew including Karrah, DC2TRILL , Draft Day , and Camo! when he dropped their first song as a collective "Family Business" back in March. The song served as the lead single for their collaborative album It's Us Volume 1 . Things seemed to be going well with the group up until a week ago. Fans began to a notice a rift in the group when Karrahbooo's handle was removed from the group's Instagram bio. The rumors continued to swirl after they realized Karahbooo didn't join the group during their performance at Broccoli City Festival over the weekend. A fan reportedly shared an image of the group performing without her with the caption "Nawwww this not fair @karrahbooo." The Atlanta native reposted with her own caption: "I agree." Despite her repost, Karrahbooo has yet to go in-depth about her split from the group. However, it's still all love between them, according to Yachty. "I don't have anything really bad to say or anything good to say," Yachty reiterated. "We just split, you know?"

Lil Yachty Confirms Karrahbooo and Concrete Boys Have 'Split Ways' (UPDATE)

Karrahbooo fans seem to think the artist is moving on from Concrete Boys after unfollowing members on social media.

UPDATED 7/29, 8 p.m. ET:  Lil Yachty hit Instagram Live and confirmed that Karrahbooo has excited Concrete Boys.

"I'mma say this shit one time," Boat told fans. "We have split ways with Karrah as far as this Concrete shit. I have nothing to say—nothing bad to say, nothing negative to say about Karrah. I wish her the best in her career. That's that. ... I don't have anything really bad to say or anything good to say. We just split, you know?"

He continued, "I'm never gonna speak on it again. So that's it. ... Concrete's still Concrete. And no, we not—no one's replacing her, not looking for another girl."

See original story below.

It looks like Karrahbooo is no longer a Concrete Boy .

The “Running Late” rapper, who Lil Yachty once called the “First Lady” of the Concrete Boys rap collective he created, has been removed from the group’s Instagram bio. She’s also unfollowed Yachty and two other rappers in the collective: Camo! and Draft Day.

Fans started to notice that something was amiss after realizing that Karrahbooo wasn’t at Broccoli City with the rest of Concrete Boys on Saturday, July 27. On her Instagram Stories, she reposted fans who were curious about her whereabouts.

Just last November, Karrahbooo made Pigeons & Planes’ list of Best New Artists . Ever since her breakout On The Radar freestyle that October (in which the Concrete Boys surrounded her in support), she began making a name for herself with her unique, laid-back flow and distinctive personality.

Earlier this year, Karrahbooo appeared on Concrete Boys’ It’s Us Vol. 1 compilation album, having a starring role on “WHERE YO DADDY?” as well as contributing on songs like “NOT DA 2,” “HIT DIFF,” and “JEFF & LITA.”

With Karrabooo seemingly out of the picture, it appears as if there’s an open spot on Lil Yachty’s label.

Perhaps he’s considering signing Ian, the viral young rapper who went viral over the last few months because of the juxtaposition between his preppy appearance and gritty lyrics. Lil Yachty brought him out at Summer Jam a few weeks ago and just recently dropped a collaboration with him, “ Hate Me .”

Whatever the case may be, Lil Yachty will have to keep the collective's train rolling. In response to fan concerns, he wrote on X, "yall be letting this internet guide yall. in real life shit is different i’m tellin u."

Tweet from user @lilyachty: "yall be letting this internet guide yall. in real life shit is different i’m tellin u" with 86.2K views, 66 comments, 300 retweets, 1.7K likes, and 71 bookmarks

In March, he announced the launch of Concrete Boys, also known as Concrete Rekordz, in a press release as his new venture with Quality Control.

"Yachty has always had profound vision since the day we met and to see him take his curatorial magic and expand it to discover and enhance other artists is exciting to me," said Quality Control Music COO and co-founder Kevin “Coach K” Lee in press materials.

“I’m excited to see Yachty step into the role of executive alongside being one of the most formidable creatives in the world with such an eye for talent," said QC CEO and co-founder Pierre “P” Thomas. "Karrahbooo is a star and they are all going to be the new wave of cool that can bring something different to the culture that is so badly needed.”
