Description

BURKUT blends sophisticated styling with excellent seakeeping to offer an exemplary cruising experience. BURKUT is the fourth vessel from Baglietto's highly regarded 54-metre steel hull, full-displacement range, building on the proven performance and popularity of her predecessors. The eye-catching elegance of BURKUT’s dark blue hull and sleek exterior lines continues indoors, with an inviting, open-plan interior styled with the furniture and fabrics from Fendi. Both the exterior and interior are designed by the award-winning Paszkowski Design Studio, a long-time Baglietto collaborator. BURKUT’s accommodation is of the highest standard, with a lavish master suite featuring two balconies affording stunning sea views, a private office and lounge area, and an exquisite bath area located on her main deck. Elsewhere the luxury continues in the form of three double cabins and one twin cabin – all fitted with state-of-the-art en suite bathrooms. BURKUT’s top deck is a highlight of the on board experience with a Jacuzzi and ample space for soaking up the sun outside and an enclosed wellness area including a sauna, steam room, massage area and beauty treatment room as well as a fully equipped gym. A glass elevator connects the lower and upper decks. Equipped with zero speed stabilisers for a comfortable cruising experience in all conditions, twin 2,000-hp Caterpillar engines power her to a maximum speed of 17.5 knots, with a range of 4,200 nautical miles travelling at 12 knots. Since her launch in 2009, BURKUT has been extensively maintained to ensure she is in optimum condition for her next owner. Lloyds classed and MCA Compliant, this is an unique opportunity to own a high-volume proven Baglietto.

Stateroom Details

All guests furniture and fabrics are from the Luxury Italian design house Fendi. On the main deck, you will find the full beam Master Staterooms with a king size bed and walk-through bathroom including twin basins and large bath. She also includes a private office and two walk-in dressing rooms. A guest elevator goes from the lower cabin deck to the main deck. The elevator door opens to a maximum of 79 cm, wide enough for a small wheelchair. The lower deck consists in three Guest Staterooms with queen beds and one Twin Stateroom.

Burkut is an exceptionally luxurious superyacht that was constructed by the Baglietto shipyard in 2009. She was refitted three years later. Francesco Paszkowski, the famous Florence based yacht designer is responsible for both her exterior and her sumptuous interior. Burkut is a tri-deck superyacht that is fitted with an interior elevator. The term “elegance” applies to every single piece and fixture onboard the yacht. She can accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 cabins; a full beam master suite, three double cabins and one twin cabin. Burkut can also provide adequate accommodation for a crew of up to 13. With respect to performance, Burkut has a maximum speed of 17.5 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots. At a speed of 10 knots, the yacht has a trans-oceanic range of 5,000 nm which allows her access to all corners of the globe. Burkut contains an impressive list of amenities. These include a spa and wellness center on the top deck, with a Jacuzzi and a sauna, an elevator, stabilizers underway as well as on anchor, and WiFi throughout.

Both interior and exterior living spaces were designed by Paszkowski Design Studio. Sleek and beautiful exterior lines, as well as dark navi hull add some extra elegance to this yacht. BURKUT Specifications

Spectacular sea views with a glass and stainless steel panoramic lift, which permits the suns rays to filter to the lower levels like a skylight. In addition, a popular Spa Pool, as well as a fitness center, can be found on the sun deck, providing a panoramic view. There is also accommodation for a friendly and dedicated crew of 10 members.

Made of steel and aluminium, the 53-metre luxury yacht Burkut (ex Baraka, Berkut) can reach a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots, thanks to her twin Caterpillar 3516B diesels. BURKUT can comfortably accommodate 10 guests in five spacious cabins. Her full beam master cabin is located on the main deck and features a private study, a private lounge with separate day head, port and starboard sea balconies, and a walk through en suite bathroom. Four additional guest cabins can be found on the lower deck consisting of three double cabins and a twin cabin, all with en suite bathrooms.

Spacious exterior decks provide multiple options for entertainment and relaxation for all. Of highlight is the versatile sun deck which features a fitness and wellness center forward, with a jacuzzi and sun loungers aft. A large al fresco dining and entertaining area can be found on the bridge deck aft, while additional exterior lounging is located on the main deck aft.

Powered by twin 2,000hp Caterpillar engines, BURKUT features a cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum speed of 15 knots, with a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles. Zero speed stabilizers ensure a stable and comfortable cruising experience on board BURKUT.

A billionaire who is the heir to a massive fortune recently pulled his yacht into Kinsale in the hopes of getting a pint.

Superyacht 'Scout' is anchored outside of the famous Dock pub, inhabiting a lot of the Castlepark Marina, becoming the first superyacht of the summer to visit Cork Harbour, Cork Beo reports.

The 209ft superyacht was made in Holland in 2019 - supposedly commissioned by members of the Heineken family (yes, THAT Heineken) but purchased by American James Berwind in 2020 for close to €80 million.

Up to 10 guests and 14 staff can be accommodated. It is considered one of the coolest yachts in the world. It has amenities such as a fully equipped gym, cinema room, three bars and a large sun deck with a jacuzzi.

Owner James Berwind (believed to be in Kinsale with his beloved Scout, has an interesting story of his own).

The Florida man is an heir to a vast, shared family fortune and with his brothers and sisters, co-owns an international global corporation.

His famous forebears Edward Julius and Charles Frederick Berwind were the founders of the Berwind-White Coal Mining company in America in the 1860s.

This developed into a mining conglomerate that it still privately kept in a family trust today.

It has moved into areas including manufacturing and real estate. The Berwind Corporation's real estate holdings alone are worth an estimated $3 billion.

James Berwind and his long-time partner Kevin Clark have given their lives to philanthropy, with animal welfare and environmentalism to the fore.

His father Charles Graham Berwind was in the coal business and enjoyed polo and yachting.

With a net worth of around €500 million, James Berwind is an architect supporting projects and people involved in environmental and community development worldwide.

He is reported to have made the yacht Scout a "semi-permanent home, to be used to explore the world" along with his long-term partner Kevin Clark. And you might see the man around Kinsale over the coming days, the yacht has dropped in after a visit to Dublin and will be on its way again shortly.
