Lush spice island.

Grenada, known as the “Spice Isle,” offers various sailing destinations with distinct characteristics. Below, we have summarised our favorite areas to visit, depending on your focus.

For Families

The anchorage near Grand Anse Beach provides a family-friendly environment. The calm waters and the proximity to amenities and activities make it suitable for families with children. Known for its calm waters and family-friendly atmosphere, Prickly Bay offers a protected anchorage with easy access to nearby beaches and facilities.

For Couples

There are many romantic spots on this tropical paradise, one of our favorites is Prickly Bay. Known for its calm waters and family-friendly atmosphere, Prickly Bay offers a protected anchorage with easy access to nearby beaches and facilities.

Nestled on the southwestern coast, Secret Harbour provides a secluded and intimate setting for couples. The pristine waters and peaceful ambiance make it ideal for a romantic sailing experience.

For First-Time Sailors

Although our Sunsail Charters around Grenada aren’t suitable for a novice skipper, it could be the perfect spot for a first-time skippered sailing holiday .  The waters around True Blue Bay are generally calm, making it a suitable spot for beginners. There are reputable marinas in the area, providing services and assistance for those new to sailing. Located on the southeastern coast, Woburn Bay offers sheltered waters, making it a good choice for novice sailors. The bay is relatively calm, providing a gentle introduction to sailing.

For Large Groups

At Sunail, we offer two yacht times for our Grenada Yacht Charters both Monohulls and Catamarans. The latter is a wonderful option for larger parties as it gives plenty of space for sunning yourself on the front of the yacht. Once on the island, there are many options for Stag and Hen Do’s, Birthdays, and anniversary parties. These include:

  • Golf at Grenada Golf & Country Club
  • Deep Sea Fishing – an incredible day excursion for team bonding and the chance to see some truly incredible species up close.
  • Island Jeep Safari – see the best viewpoints, markets, and rugged landscapes with the freedom of your own Jeeps.
  • Spa Days (we love LaSource Spa at Sandals)
  • Chocolate Making at Belmont Estate (because who doesn’t love chocolate and a good view?)
  • Port Louis Marina – for a plethora of restaurants and bars with a waterfront setting and electric atmosphere.

Dodgy Dock Restaurant & Lounge Bar – in True Blue Bay Resort , Dodgy Dock offers a vibrant nightlife scene with live music, themed nights and a waterfront view.

Grenada is a luscious botanical island with spectacular waterfalls, beaches, viewpoints, and ocean dive sites. The island is engulfed in history and culture and there is no shortage of things to do – From finding the best beach bars to exploring the underwater world with status on the ocean floor or touring one of the many rum distilleries. We have summarised some of our favorite things to do in Grenada, below.

While not in Grenada itself, Carriacou, a nearby island, offers a laid-back atmosphere. Sandy beaches, clear waters, and a slower pace make it an excellent choice for a relaxing sailing experience.

Eating and Drinking

Gouyave Fish Friday: Every Friday evening in the fishing village of Gouyave, locals and visitors gather for Fish Friday. Enjoy a variety of fresh seafood, local dishes, and lively music in a festive atmosphere.

We also love The Aquarium Restaurant in Secret Harbour, this restaurant offers a tranquil setting with sea views. Indulge in a variety of seafood dishes and other Caribbean-inspired cuisine.

History and Culture

Perched on a hill overlooking St. George’s, Fort George offers a glimpse into Grenada’s history. Explore the fort, enjoy panoramic views, and learn about the island’s colonial past.

Or visit Dougaldston Spice Estate, a historic spice estate that also teaches visitors about Grenada’s spice industry. Guided tours provide insight into the cultivation of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and other spices.

Underwater Adventure

Explore the world’s first underwater sculpture park in Molinere Bay. Snorkel or dive among the unique sculptures, creating an intriguing blend of art and marine life. For experienced divers, the Bianca C, known as the “Titanic of the Caribbean,” is a shipwreck located off the coast of Grenada. It offers a thrilling underwater adventure.

Discover the lush rainforest and volcanic crater lake in Grand Etang National Park. Hike through trails surrounded by tropical flora and fauna. A short drive from St. George’s to visit Annandale Falls, a picturesque waterfall nestled in the tropical rainforest. It’s an easy exploration for a refreshing dip.

When Sailing Grenada or planning a Grenada yacht charter it is worth noting that the daytime temperature rarely drops below 25°C.

There are two seasons to be aware of when visiting Grenada – dry season between January to May and wet season between June to December.

We would recommend visiting Grenada between January- May which offers a slightly cooler, dryer average climate.

June and July are warmer and more humid and August-Nov can be much more wet and windy.

Grenada is a level 3 sailing experience , meaning you will need 20 days or 400 miles of experience as a skipper. The wind average is 10 knots August-Nov and goes up to 14 knots for April and May.

A Grenada yacht charter can widely vary in cost, depending on the yacht model and size, time of year, charter type, and day-to-day experiences. These variables will impact the cost of your vacation, however, as a guide, a 7-day bareboat charter for 2 starts at  A Grenada sailing holiday for 2 starts at £2,000 for 7 nights (no extras, off-peak season) and fluctuates up to £6,6500 for the same package during peak seasons; this doesn’t include flights, food or excursions. Again, adding skippers, cooks, upgraded vessels etc will impact the cost of your trip.

Mooring Balls are $10 USD a day in most parts of Grenada, with other areas of The Grenadines (Tobago Cays, Sandy Island, Britannia Bay) going up to $15 a day or $75 for 3 days.   Most areas around Grenada and The Grenadines are marine protected areas, where it is obligatory to secure your yacht to a mooring ball, as anchoring is strictly prohibited. For more details, check our Grenada essential information page.

Our yacht charters around Grenada start at a 5 night charter, however, if it is your first time visiting the gorgeous isle of Grenada, we recommend a minimum of 7 days to get the best of the experience. With so much to do, a 7 night charter is a great start of first timers in Grenada. Sunsail offers pre-planned itineraries from 5 night’s – 14 nights but, of course, these charters are able to be adjusted and tailored to be bespoke to you. If you are looking to extend your Grenada yacht charter beyond 14 days, consider sailing to other Caribbean Islands such as St. Vincent and The Grenadines St. Lucia and Martinique .

Grenada yacht charter

If you've been to the Virgin Islands or the Bahamas, then it's time you go further into the Caribbean Sea and visit Grenada, dubbed as Spice Island for its abundance of nutmeg and mace plantations. Whether you're looking for a peaceful cove, a secluded beach, or a vibrant night in town, Grenada won't disappoint. The island offers blue turquoise waters, coral reefs to explore, and adventurous activities like island hopping, scuba diving, and kitesurfing. Its waters are a favorite among the sailing elite, with two sailing festivals each year held on its shores, namely the Grenada Sailing Festival Work Boat Regatta, and the Island Water World Sailing Week.

Why charter a yacht in Grenada?

With the perfect mix of Caribbean and European cultures, Grenada offers a unique identity that offers a world of senses to every visitor who steps into its shores. The smell of nutmegs, cloves, cinnamon, and mace fill the plantations, and a world of shopping, dining, music, and history fill the villages and towns on St George, the capital. But beyond the waterfront is the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic, offering a world of natural scenery, hidden beaches, and underwater life teeming with colorful fish and marine life. With an abundance of itineraries, from a full day yacht charter to a full-week hopping from one destination to another, Grenada offers a Caribbean vacation that you'll remember for the rest of your life. To charter a yacht on this island is a no-brainer; you simply have to do it to experience the true beauty of this sovereign state.

What are yacht charter prices in Grenada?

Take your pick from a monohull, motor yacht, a catamaran, or a superyacht. Whatever kind of boat that suits your fancy, you'll find it on the island. A 45-foot motor yacht with 4 cabins good for 6 people on board can cost around $12,200 for 7 nights; while an 82-foot sailing catamaran with 3 cabins can cost around $26,000 for 7 nights. If you opt for a superyacht, a 154-foot, 5-cabin superyacht can cost around $250,000 per week in Grenada.

When is the yachting season in Grenada?

Grenada has a tropical climate, governed by two seasons: a dry and a wet season. The wet season is from June to November, while the dry season is from December to May, making these months the ideal yachting season in the island.

Grenada yacht charter for a day

A full day yacht charter in Grenada can take you from the island to its pretty sister island, Carriacou. Start your day at Grand Anse Beach, the most popular and most beautiful beach on Grenada, and rated as one of the best in the world. Grand Anse Beach is considered to be the quintessential Caribbean beach, with perfectly soft white sands, and the most beautiful hues of blue you can ever imagine. Though the shoreline is peppered with resorts and hotels, the beach itself is pretty spectacular and a must-visit for any Grenada itinerary. After an hour at Grand Anse Beach, cruise your way to Carriacou and visit Paradise Beach, with its lovely stretch of white sand and clear shallow waters perfect for swimming. Have a BBQ on the beach, swim, snorkel, and before sunset, head back to your yacht and cruise back to Grenada as the sun sets on the horizon.

Grenada yacht charter overnight

An overnight yacht charter allows you to spend more time at a destination, as well as experiencing sleeping on a yacht and waking up to the most beautiful Caribbean sunrise you can ever have. You can start your cruise from the Port Louis Marina, then head your way to Dragon Bay, where a sculpture park is found underwater. This unique underwater park is eerily beautiful, and a definite must if you're into diving.

Head your way to Tyrell Bay in Carriacou by mid-afternoon, explore the town, and moor on the bay for the night. In the morning, make your way to Paradise Beach, then a trip to Anse la Roche, a secluded and idyllic stretch of soft sand beach protected by cliffs. Make your way back to Grenada by midday and arrive on the island by sunset.

Grenada yacht charter for a week

For the ultimate Grenada holiday, a one-week yacht charter is truly the best way to take advantage of this Caribbean island. Here is a sample itinerary that can fill your Caribbean holiday with adventure and tranquility:

Day 1: St. George to Carriacou

A yacht charter in Grenada must always start with a visit to the world-famous Grand Anse Beach. After an hour or two on this beach, it's time to buckle up and cruise your way to the island of Carriacou, specifically on Tyrell Bay, where you'll arrive by afternoon. Explore the waterfront, enjoy some rum, buy some supplies, and watch the sunset before enjoying a gourmet dinner on the deck.

Day 2: Sandy Island

This is the best snorkeling spot in Carriacou and it's a small island likened to a sandbar. Enjoy a day here before making your way to Saltwhistle Bay in Mayreau.

Day 3: Mayreau

Wake up in Mayreau and hike to the hilltop town of Old Wall, where you will be rewarded with spectacular views. Get back to Saltwhistle Bay, where you can have a BBQ on the beach, and enjoy swimming or kayaking before the sun sets for the day.

Day 4: Union Island

Part of St. Vincent, Union Island features a beautiful town, perfect for hiking, exploring, and spending time on the bay.

Day 5: Tobago Cays

There are 5 deserted islands here, and each worthy of exploration. Snorkel, scuba dive, and explore these small islands.

Day 6: Petit Martinique

Grenda's northernmost island, visit the areas of Fota and Petite Dominique, where snorkeling spots are ideal, and the inland is perfect for exploration on foot. You can also visit Mopion, which is considered to be the smallest island in the world with a structure.

Day 7: Prickly Bay and Grenada

Visit Prickly Bay to witness one of the best anchorages in the Caribbean. A favorite among sailors and yacht enthusiasts, the waterfront features bars, shops, and plenty to explore. By lunchtime, head back to the boat and make your way back to St. George.

Wedding yacht charter in Grenada

You can have a wedding at a grand ballroom in a hotel in any city in the world. You can also have a garden wedding anywhere. But if you want a unique wedding ceremony, a wedding yacht charter in Grenada is something else. You don't have to spend on decor and a grand ballroom, as the beautiful beaches, wide horizon, or a secluded cove provides you with natural backdrops that are truly enchanting. Have your guests enjoy a yacht charter for a wedding, where you can exchange vows in the middle of the ocean, and finish up the day with a romantic sunset cruise.

Luxury yacht holiday in Grenada

Supersize the possibilities of your Caribbean vacation by chartering a superyacht that provides you with an experience unlike any other. Get pampered by a VIP crew, indulge yourself in luxurious amenities, and of course, get to explore rugged coastlines, hidden coves, and secluded beaches, while ending the day in an airconditioned, luxurious cabin. There's truly nothing more luxurious than a yacht holiday onboard a luxury yacht in Grenada.

A yacht charter in Grenada opens your world to history, islands that are a world away from modern development, and a laid back culture that perfectly blends Caribbean and European sensibilities. A holiday on Grenada or Carriacou simply won't do, but a holiday exploring the beaches, waterfront towns and hidden gems onboard a yacht charter will surely capture the true essence of this group of islands in the West Indies.

Grenada Yacht Charter, Caribbean

Why choose the grenada cruising grounds.

The island of Grenada in the West Indies is a spectacular destination for water sports and beach-side relaxation, where there are six smaller islands to elope to by motor yacht or sailing yacht after a grand party during your Caribbean luxury yacht charter.

Grenada is known as the "Island of Spice" or the Spice Islands due its production of aromatic crops grown in its fertile soil such as nutmeg and mace crops, of which Grenada is one of the world's largest exporters. As such, visitors can expect familiar yet original cuisine based on traditional family recipes and freshly caught seafood.

There is plenty of nature to photograph and immerse yourselves in, and the total area of 344km² (133mi²) home to waterfalls, sulphur hot springs, forts, museums and plantations for mangoes, avocados, bananas, cocoa and cinnamon, and an estimated population of 110,000. The national bird of Grenada is the critically endangered Grenada Dove, which can be spotted at the Mt. Hartman Dove Sanctuary near Woburn Bay.

Grenada is situated at the southern end of the Grenadines in the southeast coast of the Caribbean Sea , and from here guests can cruise on south to Trinidad & Tobago, the South American coast of Venezuela and to the north to St. Vincent & the Grenadines and Barbados .

With the excellent Scuba diving and snorkelling sites, great conditions for wind-based water sports, a large choice of powdery white beaches, rare flora and fauna to see in person and exotic spices in abundance to flavour your meals, Grenada is an amazing addition to a Caribbean luxury yacht charter.

5 quick reasons to visit Grenada:

Laid-back atmosphere, Rare flora and fauna, World-class beaches, Culinary sensations, Unique island history

More about this part of the Caribbean

Grenada sits south of the Grenadines island chain and is perfectly positioned to explore islands such as Curacao, Aruba and Trinidad and Tobago . If you haven't had enough of the amazing beaches and dive sites around Grenada, head north to St. Vincent and the Grenadines for wrecks, reefs and caves that will further enhance your underwater adventures.

There are even more regattas and events in the region which can be easily tailored into your yacht charter itinerary, alongside first-class restaurants, memorable beach bars and stately landmarks.

Grenada Yacht Charter Experiences

The Capital of Grenada is St. George's which is an idyllic colonial port town that has been compared to Porto Fino in Italy. St. George’s town has a new marina called the Port Louis Grenada marina, which is designed to hold superyachts up to 90 meters in length. There are also several other yacht harbours located at the southern end of the island.

Grande Anse Beach is quite possibly one of the top-ranked and most famous beaches in the world: Lined with almond trees, the powdery white sands stretch for three kilometres and it is right along the heart of Grenada's main town. The beach bars and restaurants ensure that you could spend the whole day along the shore, or instead you could head in to town to Fort George, the quaint Grenada National Museum and galleries such as Art House 473. 'The House of Chocolate' is an indulgent treat in town that is museum, shop and cafe all in one.

Snorkelling and scuba diving is also a popular activity around the island or from your charter yacht with various spots around the island, including sunken wrecks and reefs. In the winter there is always a chance of a whale watching. Inland, Grand Etang National Park and Forest Preserve is a popular day trip, offering rainforest hikes around the rim of an extinct volcano.

One of the most extraordinary experiences is the 12m/39ft deep Scuba diving site the Grenada Underwater Sculpture Parks that draws in luxury yacht charter groups by motor yacht and sailing yacht alike. As most holidaymakers are drawn to the snorkelling on Flamingo Bay, the area has become eroded from overuse. To combat this, local artist and diving instructor Jason deCaires Taylor worked in conjunction with several local agencies to create the park: Concrete with a textures surface and a pH ideal for sea life has attracted corals and myriad fish species, adding another home for the local marine life. During your visit, dolphins, rays and turtles are all possible to sight on your trip.

To the north end of Grenada, the River Antoine Estate Rum Distillery offers tours and tastings from the 250-year-old equipment still in use today. Guests interested in exploring the island interior will be rewarded with aromatic plantations, billowing waterfalls and a sulphur hot spring at Clabony.

From the 1st of April through to the 30th of June, Levra Beach to the north is a nesting ground for loggerhead turtles. The best time to sight them is at night with a guide knowledgeable in the area. Be aware that the undertow is strong in the sea surrounding this coast, and therefore swimming is not recommended at any time.

Apart from the large island of Grenada there are plenty of small islands to visit on your charter yacht, such as Petite Martinique, Caille Island, Diamond Island, Saline Island, Frigate Island and Large Island.

The uninhabited islands will tempt you away from Grenada for a day or more of private time with friends and family: The beaches on Ronde Island and Caille Island are tranquil and idyllic, and the coves of Carriacou Island will give your group an uninterrupted night's rest before waking up to bird calls from the forest and sea.

Each of these islands shares the same volcanic features as Grenada, and the verdant soils have produced bio diverse forests fringing the pristine beaches. Savour a candlelit dinner under the stars on one of these untouched romantic coasts, or Scuba dive at night and discover the world anew with blue light torches to detect fluorescence in marine life.

Things to Consider:

Yachting seasons & climate:.

The temperatures in Grenada is relatively stable throughout the year, sitting around 25°C/77°F during the winter months and 27°C/81°F from April through to November. The driest months are in March and April, however showers in other months are generally short sharp bursts that can be expected early in the morning or later in the evening. As such, Grenada is a year-round destination ideal for family holidays, honeymoons and other holidays.

Clothing to Pack For Your Charter: The warm weather throughout the year makes a summer wardrobe of light natural layers essential for your luxury yacht charter holiday. Take a lightweight jacket to keep off the cooler evening winds, and in case of any evening showers.

yacht charter grenada

Although beachwear is acceptable along the coast, in town a smart-casual dress code is expected for the boutiques, restaurants and bars.

Port Louis Marina, Whisper Cove Marina, Le Phare Bleu Marina, Secret Harbour Boutique Hotel, Restaurant and Marina, Spice Island Marina

Famous Restaurants & Clubs:

Aquarium Restaurant, Sangria Restaurant Bar & Lounge, Coconut Beach Restaurant, Nutmeg Bar and Restaurant, BB's Crabback Restaurant

A Must See Attraction:

Grenada Underwater Sculpture Park, Grenada National Museum, Art House 473, Hyde Park Tropical Garden, Fort George, Fort Frederick, House of Chocolate, Clabony Sulphur Hot Spring

Best beaches to visit in your yacht:

Grand Anse Beach, La Sagesse Beach, Magazine Beach, Hog Island Beach (Hog Island), Anse La Roche Beach, Sandy Island (Carriacou Island), Paradise Beach (Carriacou Island), Caille Island northern beach, Ronde Island north eastern beach

Local Yacht Events:

Grenada Sailing Week (Barbados Race Week, RORC Caribbean 600, St Maarten Heineken Regatta, St Thomas International, BVI Spring Regatta, Bequia Spring Regatta, Les Voiles de St Barth, Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, Antigua Sailing Week)

Best time to go:

Although the Caribbean is a year-round destination, the Caribbean yacht charter season is considered to run from late November to April, covering Christmas and New Year at its peak before entering a quieter period. At this time of the year, the Caribbean islands put on spectacular celebrations and a luxury yacht is the best way to get from one party to the next - or the best way to take the party with you.

Grenada also has an international airport providing easy access to begin your yacht charter.

Nestled in the heart of the Caribbean, Grenada is a sailing paradise waiting to be discovered. With Yachting.Rent, your journey across this enchanting archipelago is sure to be an experience of a lifetime.

Grenada is renowned for its warm, turquoise waters, consistent trade winds, and a vibrant coastline adorned with white sandy beaches, lush rainforests, and historic spice plantations. The ‘Spice Isle,’ as Grenada is often referred to, is a dream destination for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. The world’s first underwater sculpture park and numerous untouched coral reefs provide a surreal underwater spectacle. For those seeking tranquility, the secluded bays offer the perfect retreat, while more adventurous sailors will appreciate challenging open water passages. No matter your preference, Grenada provides an ideal balance of relaxation and adventure.

What Choose

Sailing boat or Catamaran, what to sail in Grenada

Whether it’s the responsive touch of a sailing boat or the spacious luxury of a catamaran, Yachting.Rent offers you the freedom to choose how you’d like to navigate the sapphire seas of Grenada.

Sailing Boats are a traditional choice for the purists. Feel a more direct connection to the water as you master the art of harnessing the wind. Our meticulously maintained and fully equipped sailing boats offer the classic sailing experience, perfectly suited to Grenada’s favourable winds and calm waters. Their smaller draft allows for close shore anchoring, giving you the chance to explore some of the less accessible, but equally beautiful, parts of Grenada.

Catamarans, on the other hand, are the epitome of comfort and stability on the water. With their dual-hull design, they provide more space, stability, and speed. They are an excellent choice for families or larger groups seeking a roomy and luxurious sailing experience. Their superior balance makes them ideal for those new to sailing or anyone prone to seasickness.

At Yachting.Rent, we understand that each sailor’s needs and preferences are unique. That’s why we offer an extensive fleet of both sailing boats and catamarans, each one well-maintained and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a safe and comfortable journey.

Embark on your Grenadian adventure with the vessel of your choice, guided by the expertise and support of Yachting.Rent. Our goal is to make your sailing dreams a reality. Contact us today, and let’s set the course to your unforgettable sailing experience.

The Best of Grenada

It's hard to top a two mile long beach, but Grenada does its best with shops, spas, and delicious roadside barbeque. If you want to know more about the island's spice fame, then visit one of the nutmeg processing sites or ask a local where to buy mace products. Grenada and its smaller islands offer fantastic diving opportunities too - so what are you waiting for?

Grenada, although being in the very southern part of the Caribbean, is an option to begin vacations with a major international airport providing flights from the US and Europe. This “spice island” is aptly named being one of the two largest spice producers in the world.

Grenada is often thought of as a center of English culture, but it has French influences also. The nation of Grenada, comprises six islands with the larger ones being Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique. Tourism is the mainstay of the Grenadian economy, and it is concentrated around the southwest of the island around St. George with excursions from there and around the southern coast nearby. Explore the rain forests from St George or lase on the local beaches.

Have the captain anchor your charter yacht at Tyrell Bay. This is a popular spot for boats and will afford you the on board privacy you love while also letting you mix and mingle with fellow travelers if care to leave the yacht.

PETITE MARTINIQUE:

Two and a half miles away is this tiny island. The sailing in this area is great (hence the famous Carriacou Regatta), and this provides you with that extra bit of seclusion in the midst of all the boating fun.

Request confirmation, terms and conditions, charter experts, llc terms & conditions.

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“ Terms ”) CAREFULLY AS THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, REMEDIES AND OBLIGATIONS AS WELL AS A SECTION GOVERNING THE JURISDICTION AND VENUE OF DISPUTES. THESE TERMS ALSO CONTAIN A LEGALLY BINDING RELEASE, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK. By creating a username, a login, clicking submit, using the services of Charter Experts, LLC d/b/a Virgin Island Sailing® (“ Broker ) or by accessing Broker’s website, you agree that you have read, and acknowledge your acceptance of these Terms. The Terms are subject to change at any time without notice at Broker’s sole discretion. Additionally, any transaction for which you have made payment shall be governed by the form of Terms in effect at the time of such payment notwithstanding any subsequent changes hereto.

If you are obtaining a quote, information, booking travel for and/or securing or procuring a Charter (as that term is defined in Section 1 below) for more than just yourself, all references below to “Charterer” or “you” (and derivations thereof) shall be read to mean you on behalf of yourself and each individual within your group for whom you are obtaining a quote, information, booking travel for and/or securing or procuring Charter.

These Terms shall be read together and construed, to the fullest extent possible, to be in concert with any other agreement by or among Broker and Charterer. To the extent they cannot be so construed, then in the event of any direct conflict between these Terms and any other agreement by or among Broker and Charterer (including but not limited to the agreement executed by Charterer for a Charter Reservation (as that term is defined in Section 1 below), these Terms shall prevail.

  • Prepaid Charter Reservations . Typically, Broker negotiates charter rates in advance with the yacht owner or charter company (“ Charter Provider ”) to obtain cost-effective rates, and facilitate reservations and availability for yacht charters, excursions and travel (the “ Charter ”). Broker also provides services to you by facilitating the booking of reservations for consideration and receives a commission from the Charter Provider (the “ Broker Fee ”). The Broker Fee is included in the pre-negotiated Charter rate provided to you, plus taxes and other fees where applicable. You agree that your payment is for the total amount set forth in the applicable Charter agreement (which Charter Provider may refer to as a Charter Contract, Charter Agreement, Booking Terms & Conditions, Instructions and Terms for Accommodations, as well as other derivations) provided to you by Broker (“ Charter Agreement ”). Upon execution of the Charter Agreement and receipt of the applicable deposit, you will have made a reservation for the Charter that authorizes Broker to facilitate the Charter on your behalf (“Charter Reservation”), including making payment arrangements with the Charter Provider. You further agree that Broker is a third-party beneficiary to the Charter Agreement and shall have the right to enforce such agreement to the extent it deems such enforcement necessary or advisable to protect its rights hereunder or under the Charter Agreement.

Broker retains the Broker Fee as compensation in arranging your Charter Reservation. The Broker Fee varies based on the amount and type of Charter and/or services provided by Broker.  By making a Charter Reservation, you accept and agree to the relevant cancellation and no-show policy of the Charter Provider set forth in the Charter Agreement. Cancellation and no-show policies vary for each Charter. Carefully read the Charter Agreement and additional information provided to you by Broker. It is expressly agreed by Charterer that the Broker Fee is earned at the time the Charter Reservation is made. Late payment, wrong credit card or debit card details, invalid credit or debit cards, or insufficient funds are for your own risk and account, and you will not be entitled to any refund of any prepaid amount unless the Charter Provider expressly agrees otherwise under the Charter Agreement or in some other signed writing.

  • Charter Rules and Restrictions . Additional terms and agreements will apply to your Charter Reservation and any purchase or rental of equipment or other items, supplies, provisions and travel you may select. Please read those additional terms carefully. In particular, if you have purchased airfare, please ensure that you read the full terms and conditions of carriage issued by the supplier. You agree to abide by the terms of purchase imposed by any supplier with whom you elect to deal, including but not limited to payment of all amounts when due and compliance with the supplier’s rules and restrictions regarding availability, charges, fares, and use of products and services.
  • Payment . All payments must be made by personal check, bank/wire transfer, ACH payment and/or with a major credit card unless otherwise expressly stated. The total price for the Charter Reservation will be billed in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise stated. Some banks and credit card companies impose fees for international transactions. If you are making a reservation from outside of the United States on a US credit card, your bank may convert the payment amount to your local currency and charge you a conversion fee. This means the amount listed on your credit or bank card statement may be in your local currency and therefore a different figure than the amount provided by Broker for the Charter Reservation. In addition, a foreign transaction fee may be assessed if the financial institution that issued your credit card is located outside of the United States. Booking international travel may be considered to be an international transaction by the financial institution or card company. The currency exchange rate and foreign transaction fee is determined solely by your financial institution on the day that it processes the transaction. If you have any questions about these fees or the exchange rate applied to your booking, please contact your financial institution. Broker shall not be liable to you for any such service, conversion, or exchange fee.

Broker expressly reserves the right to cancel your Charter Reservation if full payment is not timely received as set forth in the Charter Agreement.

  • Cancellation and Rescheduling . You may cancel or change your Charter Reservation as set forth in the Charter Agreement by and among you, the Charter Provider and/or Broker. Please note that some Charter Providers do not permit changes to or cancellation of reservations after they are made, or after a certain date, as indicated in the Charter Agreement. You agree to abide by the terms of the Charter Agreement with respect to your Charter Reservation. Broker will not be responsible for reimbursing Charterer for any previously tendered deposits or payments by Charterer and disclaims all liability for the failure of a Charter Provider to refund or return any such funds.
  • Credit Card Transactions and Chargebacks . If for any reason, any Charter Provider is unable to provide the Charter, or any part thereof, for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against the Charter Provider, and not against Broker. However, Broker will use reasonable efforts to assist you and Charter Provider in reaching a resolution to a dispute between you and the Charter Provider. In the event that your payment has already been transferred from Broker to Charter Provider or to an escrow account, you agree that you will not seek a chargeback against Broker for such amounts transferred. You further agree to indemnify and hold Broker harmless from and against any liability, loss, damage or expense (including without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees) that Broker may incur in connection with chargebacks against Broker or under the Charter Agreement and your performance thereunder. If Broker incurs any costs, including but not limited to attorneys’ fees, to recover any payments charged back by your credit card company or other financial institution, you agree that you will be liable for these costs. If your payment is declined for any reason, you agree to settle any amounts owed to Broker via money order, cashier’s check, personal check or bank/ACH transfer immediately.
  • Broker Responsibility . Broker makes arrangements with the Charter Provider. Broker additionally makes additional arrangements with other suppliers for the various components and other services that comprise your Charter (“Charter Suppliers”). Broker is not an agent of these Charter Providers or the Charter Suppliers (and the Charter Providers and Charter Suppliers are not agents of Broker). Broker expressly disclaims any liability for the actions or omissions of the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers. The Charter Providers and the Charter Suppliers reserve the right to refuse service to you at their sole discretion. Broker assumes no liability for the acts of the Charter Provider or the Charter Suppliers in refusing service. Broker is not responsible for schedule changes and does not offer compensation for those changes. Broker is not responsible under any circumstances for any injury or damages you may suffer, in connection with sea, air or ground transportation, hotel accommodations, or other travel or excursion services arranged by Broker.

You understand Broker is not the source or supplier of the Charter or other travel services you requested and acts solely as a broker for the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers. You agree that the Charter Provider and Charter Suppliers whose names appear in the information supplied to you are those who are solely responsible for providing the Charter you purchase. You consent to and request the use of the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers and agree to not hold Broker responsible should any of them: (i) fail to provide the Charter or travel services you purchased, whether or not such services are listed in the Charter Agreement or otherwise, (ii) fail to comply with any applicable law, or (iii) engage in any negligent act or omission that causes you any sort of injury, damage, delay or inconvenience.

By using Broker’s services, you waive and release any claim against Broker, its affiliated and subsidiary companies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents, arising out of or in connection with any loss of or damage to property or injury to any person caused by reason of (i) any defect, negligence, or other wrongful act or omission, or any failure of performance of any kind, by any Charter Provider, Charter Suppliers, or any other provider of sea, airline, hotel, ground transportation or any other travel provider connected to or otherwise associated with the Charter, (ii) any claim for inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, mental distress or other similar claim, (iii) any delayed departure, missed connection, substitute accommodation, termination of service or change in fares or rates, and (iv) overbooking, flight or other travel cancellation, lost or misconnected personal property, or any claim arising out of the air transportation portion of your travel, and (v) or any other claim arising out of or otherwise related to the Charter Agreement or services provided by the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers.

Excepting only liability that directly arises from the gross negligence or willful misconduct of Broker, you will not hold Broker responsible for any injury, damage or loss you may suffer while on a Charter, whether incurred on the Charter or in connection with any other rental, purchase, excursion or activity, regardless of the relationship of any of the foregoing with the Charter Provider or the Charter Suppliers.

  • Your Responsibility . By booking a Charter with Broker, you agree to defend and indemnify and hold harmless Broker, Charter Provider, Charter Suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from and against any and all claims, causes of action, demands, recoveries, losses, damages, fines, penalties or other costs or expenses of any kind or nature, including but not limited to reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in connection with: (i) your breach of these Terms or the documents referenced herein; (ii) your violation of any law or rights of a third party; or (iii) your use of the Broker website.

You will review your Charter Agreement and travel documents for accuracy upon receipt. You understand that it is your responsibility to review the accuracy of all details in the Charter Reservation provided to you, and that you may contact Broker if you have any questions.

You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s).

You understand that Broker recommends purchasing travel insurance to cover certain risks inherent in travel such as supplier bankruptcy and the inability to travel due to a medical or personal emergency.

  • No Warranties . All Charters, products, services, advice and information is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied to the fullest extent permitted under the law, including but not limited to, warranties of title or implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose. Without limiting the above, no warranty or guarantee is made (i) regarding the acceptance of any reservation request or Charter Reservation; (ii) regarding the availability of Charters, or any other product and/or services through Broker; (iii) that the use of Broker’s website will be error-free; or (iv) regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability or quality of any information, content, data, service, advice or merchandise provided by Broker or through Broker’s website.

Broker has no special knowledge regarding the Charter Provider’s or Charter Supplier’s financial condition, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel during or otherwise in connection with your Charter.

Grenada Sailing Itinerary

With so much to offer around Grenada, you could spend the entire week cruising around Grenada and nearby islands. Enjoy days filled with snorkeling and diving, as well as outings ashore to enjoy the many great restaurants and bars, sandy beaches, fun shopping and inland tours through rum distilleries, spice plantations, rainforests and waterfalls. As gateway to the Grenadines, Grenada’s southernmost location in the Windward Islands also opens the door to one-way charters through more challenging open-water passages, allowing you to experience the beauty of other points of interest in St. Vincent, the Grenadines and St. Lucia.

Choose Itinerary

Grenada yacht charter – 7 day.

Be sure to anchor on sand or pick up a government mooring ball when in Dragon Bay.

Dinghy dockage: There is no dinghy dock.

Things to do

Snorkel or dive, swim, sunbathe, and relax in unspoilt beauty. This island has a unique charm. The palm-fringed beach of Dragon Bay is especially charming with its black volcanic sand.

Aucun aménagement disponible dans la crique.

Grenada Sailing Itinerary

Tyrrel Bay is deep and well protected, making it an ideal place to hang-out for the evening. Holding is good if you can find clear sand, but rather poor in the weedy areas.

Dinghy dockage: Leave your dinghy at Tyrrel Bay Yacht Haul Out, the yacht Club, the main dock or pull it up on the beach. The Tipsy turtle also has a dinghy dock.

Sunbathe and enjoy excellent snorkel conditions around Sandy Island; then swing into Hillsborough for seaside dining, a taste of locally prepared rum and to experience the island’s unique culture. Tyrrel Bay is home to a mangrove swamp, which is protected by the fisheries department and well-worth a visit by dinghy. Coming ashore from Tyrell Bay, there’s plenty of hiking possibilities, including a walk up Chapeau Carre.

Hillsborough is Carriacou’s only port of clearance, and the taxi square is located in front of customs. Facing the main dock, the tourist office provides maps and other helpful information. By Tyrell Bay, businesses and restaurants line the waterfront. Oysters, lobster when in season, fruits, jewelry and even calypso music can be purchased from local boat-carried businessmen. Free bay-wide Wi-Fi, funded by local businesses, is based in Tyrrel Bay Yacht Haul Out. If you need to use a computer, check out Shorebase Services, who were planning internet.

Grenada Sailing Itinerary

Union Island

Moorings balls are available in Union Island; however, we do not recommend using them.

Dinghy dockage: Dinghy docks are available at the Anchorage, where water is also available.

Union has neat boutiques with clothing, local original art, hand-made jewelry and gifts. It’s also becoming well known for its entertainment and fun restaurants. Union Island offers superb hiking and biking – great view points include Fort Hill, Ashton, Mt. Campbell and Mt. Taboi. Considering hiring a local guide, who is familiar with the local trails and can show you all of the best view points.

Anchorage Yacht Club, Aquarium and Captain Gourmet offer free Wi-Fi. Garbage may be left in the dumpster on the fishing docks. Ice is available at Anchorage Yacht Club, Bougainville, Grand Union, Lambi and many rum shops.

Grenada Sailing Itinerary

Tobago Cays

Moorings are available for a fee; plans for adding some have been in the works. Charterers may anchor in one of several locations. The anchorages north and south of Baradel are popular.

Dinghy dockage: No dinghy docks are available, but you can beach your dinghy to take a swim on one of the cays.

Snorkel, swim, sunbathe, and relax in unspoiled beauty. Observe the sea turtles at the sea turtle-watching area on Baradel. Contact one of the local dive companies to go scuba diving (diving on your own isn’t permitted). Line up a vendor for a beach barbecue (beach barbecues are regulated to protect the park).

Entrepreneurial owners of small local boats often ply the anchorages, selling sundry items like ice, bread, and lobsters.

The waters of the Tobago Cays Marine Park, encompassing Mayreau Island and the five isles comprising Tobago, are known as one of the premier snorkeling and scuba diving locales in the Grenadines. Visibility is excellent (typically 100 to 120 feet) for viewing the sea life of the extensive reefs in the area. Completely undeveloped and uninhabited, the park is a place where time seems to have stopped. Stargazing as the yacht swings with the warm breeze is balm for the soul.

Grenada Sailing Itinerary

Petit Martinique

Sail over to Petit Martinique, Grenada’s northern most island. It’s a great place to come ashore to replenish water, alcohol, ice and more. Many of the residents here live by boatbuilding, and Petit Martinique is famous for its plywood speedboats. For great snorkeling and exploring, Fota and Petite Dominique are within range of a seaworthy dinghy. Be sure to stop at Mopion for lunch on your way! Mopion is surrounded by amazing reefs to dive, and is known as the world’s smallest island with a structure.

When anchoring in Petit Martinique, be aware that the holding is in soft mud and not always easy. Keep then engine slowly in forward, assuring time for the anchor to sink into the mud before putting any strain on it.

Dinghy dockage: You may tie your dinghy up to the government dock, or the wooden gas dock.

Petit Martinique is a unique island with local charm. Spot to watch the local boatbuilding culture, enjoy a picnic on the white sands of Mopion and snorkel the neighboring reefs.

Matthew’s in Matthew’s Shopping Center is a great place to top off on fuel and select provisioning items, such as water, beer, wine, liquor and more. Adjacent, Matthew’s daughter owns an apparel and jewelry store, and there’s a gift shop too. There are several pleasant restaurants for dining ashore.

Grenada Sailing Itinerary

Prickly Bay

Enjoy your day at Prickly Bay, which is known as one of the best anchorages amongst cruisers. Customs and Immigration is available at the yacht club right in the anchorage, however if you choose to stop in Hillsborough, Carriacou to clear in, there is no need to revisit customs in Prickly Bay. Enjoy live steel drum band music from the yacht club’s bar. Consider organizing a land tour into the rain forest and cool off in one of Grenada’s many waterfalls.

Anchoring is not permitted within 600 feet of the beach. This area is designated for swimmers, and marked by small buoys.

Dinghy dockage: Dinghy docks are available both at Prickly Bay Marina and Spice Island Boatyard (by De Big Fish).

Enjoy relaxing, swimming and sunbathing on the palm-fringed beach of Prickly Bay. As a pleasant and more affluent area, you will find a diverse selection of dining options, tennis courts are available the hotels, and a golf club at Golflands. To reach True Blue, dinghy to Spice Island Boatyard and take a brisk walk down the road.

Fuel, water, ice, provisions, taxi cabs, and car rentals are available. Internet and computers are available at Boats and Harbors, located at Prickly Bay Marina.

Grenada Sailing Itinerary

St. George’s Bay

Sail into St George’s Harbour to finish your charter at The Moorings base in Port Louis Marina. After completing the check-out process with the staff, take some time to explore St George’s. This capital city of Grenada is an 18th century gem with its mix of colonial buildings crowned by orange fish-scale tiles and its multicoloured homes, all along an emerald green backdrop. Stroll along St George’s narrow streets, perusing the shops and smelling the delicious aromas wafting out from the many great restaurants and bars. Stop by Bay Gardens, and marvel at over 3,000 species of Caribbean plants. The Carenage along the inner harbour is perfect for a scenic waterfront walk and on Saturdays the place to be is St George’s Market Square. Overlooking the harbour to the west, Fort George is a local landmark built in 1705 that offers spectacular hilltop views and is open to visitors. Now it’s time to start planning your next Moorings yacht charter holiday!

Arriving in St George’s, call the base on VHF 16 for assistance with docking.

Dinghy dockage: No dinghy docks are available.

St George’s is an excellent place to go sightseeing. The old fort overlooks the harbour and the historic town is great for sightseeing, shopping and dining. The Carenage offers a pleasant waterside walk, with many restaurants and bars nearby. To the south, Grand Anse offers two miles of sandy beach with excellent dining and nightlife.

Port Louis Marina is home to The Moorings base, and is the most state-of-the-art marina in the entire Windward Islands.

Grenada Yacht Charter – 10 Day

After chart briefing and orientation, clear customs out of St. Lucia and depart for an easy, long reach along the coast to Soufriere, a picturesque town that shares its name with a nearby dormant volcano (the only one in the world where it’s possible to drive a car inside!). Creole buildings with gingerbread trim and balconies overlooking the lanes and streets create an Old World ambience. Enjoy window shopping and dining out. Both scenic and accommodating to boaters, the waters around the Pitons are part of the Soufriére Marine Management Area and a highlight of yachting in the Pitons. The twin conical peaks of Petit Piton (elevation 2,460 ft.) and Gros Piton (elevation 2,619 ft.) are magic to the eyes of cruisers heading south, marking a picturesque entry into the charm of the Eastern Caribbean.

Moorings are available at numerous locations. Anchoring is permitted only in certain locations. A boat boy can help at Hummingbird Beach (to tie your stern to a palm tree while you anchor), or pick up a mooring ball between the majestic Pitons.

Dinghy dockage: Dinghy docks are plentiful.

There are many restaurants along the shore and in town. The most elegant is the Hummingbird Restaurant at Hummingbird Resort. Sulfur Springs, the volcanically heated waters of Diamond Baths and its surrounding tropical gardens, guided hiking tours in the rain forest near Morne Fond St. Jacques (stop by the Soufriére Marine Management office in town for more information), Maho waterfalls, and the Jalousie Plantation (part of Sunswept Resorts) are among the attractions in and around Soufriére.

Fuel, water, ice, provisions, taxicabs, car rentals, and Internet access are available.

Grenada Sailing Itinerary

St. Vincent

Set sail early to reach Petit Bayhaut, in St. Vincent, for lunch and snorkeling. Pick up a mooring ball at Young Island Cut for the night. Yachting in Young Island Cut waters brings you to the southern end of St. Vincent, which has a variety of good harbors, including the one at Young Island Cut. Easy to enter from the west, you’re ideally situated to enjoy a nice view of Young Island to the south and the pleasure of going ashore to sample the cuisine at the restaurants lining the St. Vincent shore and to barhop to your heart’s content into the wee hours of the night. The harbor of Blue Lagoon, also popular among charterers, is within walking distance.

Moorings are available and highly recommended. Swift currents flow through the cut and make anchoring a challenge. You can anchor in the northern or western parts of the cut, but you’ll need to rig a bow and stern anchor to keep you from swinging into other boats when the tide changes.

Dinghy dockage: Dinghy dockage is plentiful.

A stroll west to adjacent Indian Bay Beach brings you to a fine example of one of St. Vincent’s elegant and traditional hotels, the Grand View Beach Hotel, with exquisite views from its hilltop perch. On the beach is the Grand View Grill, a casual restaurant and bar run by a local artist, who has a little art gallery on the premises. In the hotel itself is Wilkie’s, which bills itself as having “the best fine dining on St. Vincent.” The hotel’s squash and tennis courts, as well as the gym, are open to cruisers. Scuba dive tour businesses abound. For scuba aficionados, this is reason enough to visit Young Island Cut and the surrounding area. Snorkeling is superb in Petit Bayhut, and is easily accessible by dinghy along the coast of Buccament Bay.

Provisions, garbage disposal, laundry services, propane, car rentals, taxicabs, guided tours, and Internet access (Wi-Fi too) are available.

Grenada Sailing Itinerary

A short sail will take you to anchor in Admiralty Bay, Bequia’s main harbor on the island’s west side and the location of the only settlement, Port Elizabeth. When cruising in Admiralty Bay you’ll see at the head of the harbor little hotels, a variety of shops, boutiques, food markets, a bookstore, as well as a number of bars and restaurants, many with a nautical theme in keeping with the fishing and boatbuilding tradition that’s alive and well on the island. Artisans build small and large vessels from wood using traditional methods. On Bequia’s south side you can find the gorgeous Friendship Bay with its lovely white sand beach and anchorage that’s well protected from swells.

Moorings are available. Anchoring space is plentiful, and the holding is generally good in the more popular locations. In other parts of the bay, holding is less desirable, and northerly swells can make for an uncomfortable night. In addition to Admiralty Bay, there’s a snug and picturesque anchorage at Friendship Bay, well worth a visit.

Dinghy dockage: Dinghy dockage is available.

There are literally dozens of bars and restaurants, too many to list. However, a few options include the Frangipani Hotel for a romantic dinner featuring Caribbean fare, Auberge des Grenadines for sumptuous lobster and other seafood, and the Tradewinds Yacht Club restaurant, Devil’s Table, which has good food for all budgets and a charming island ambience. For charterers seeking a bit of pampering, get a massage at Jack’s Spa & Beauty Salon, or play a game of tennis at one of several courts. Hiking is popular on Bequia, along the beaches and on the trails in the hills of Mount Pleasant. Visit the Bequia Maritime Museum, the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary, or the home of one of Bequia’s most famous harpooners, Athneal Ollivierre, where there’s a small whaling museum. Bequia is both beautiful and filled with attractions. Consider seeing all of the sights with a jeep, scooter or bike rental from Handy Andy. It’s a very fun island to drive around.

Fuel, water, ice, showers, laundry facilities, garbage disposal, provisions, propane, Internet access (Wi-Fi too!), and taxicabs are available.

Grenada Sailing Itinerary

Sail to the tiny island of Petit Nevis for lunch and more beach time. On to Mustique, the island of royals, the rich and the famous, you can overnight in Britannia Bay. A spine of hills 400 to 600 feet in elevation runs down the midsection of Mustique, providing sweeping views of the sea that make an ideal setting for the palatial estates, about 90 in all, dotting the lush, green slopes extending to the edges of pristine white-sand beaches. Celebrities, business magnates, and royalty have made the island a cherished retreat. Mustique yachting ushers you into this exclusive world.

Moorings are available in Britannia Bay. Anchoring is prohibited without permission from the Mustique Company, which supervises local waters.

Dinghy dockage: A dinghy dock is available.

Hike the trails and quiet roads of the island, or take a tour via taxicab or rented mountain bike or motorbike. Enjoy a swim at the beautiful beach at Macaroni Bay. Horseback riding is also an option. Or snorkel and scuba dive in the crystal clear waters.

Provisions, garbage disposal, Internet access at the library, and taxicab service are available.

Grenada Sailing Itinerary

A three hour sail gets you to our sub-base on Canouan Island where you can top-off on water, ice and change linens. Continue on from Canouan to Salt Whistle Bay, which offers great views of the Tobago Cays, snorkeling, and beach combing. Located within the confines of the Tobago Cays Marine Park, Mayreau’s Salt Whistle Bay is a pleasant anchorage and no park fees are charged for anchoring there. The crescent-shaped white-sand beach along the shore is superb for swimming, as the balmy trade winds rustle the palms. Snorkeling here is fun, too! Be sure to include Salt Whistle Bay as an overnight anchorage.

No moorings are available. Holding is good in a sandy bottom.

Snorkel, swim, sunbathe, and relax in unspoiled beauty. Contact one of the local dive companies to go scuba diving (diving on your own isn’t permitted). Enjoy dinner at the Salt Whistle Bay Club or sip drinks at the beachside bars.

No facilities for yachts are available.

Grenada Sailing Itinerary

Sailing south on to Grenada, you will pass the underwater volcano of Kick-Em Jenny; enjoy a nice sail along the coast of Grenada passing Dragon’s Bay, the historic city of St. George’s and the world renowned Grand Anse Beach. Eat lunch on the way and stop in at Customs and Immigration on Prickly Bay, unless you went ashore in Hillsborough, Carriacou to clear customs. Spend your last evening anchored in Prickly Bay, which is known as one of the best anchorages amongst cruisers. Enjoy live steel drum band music from the yacht club’s bar. Consider organizing a land tour into the rain forest and cool off in one of Grenada’s many waterfalls.

Fuel, water, ice, provisions, taxicabs, and car rentals are available. Internet and computers are available at Boats and Harbors, located at Prickly Bay Marina.

Grenada Crewed Charter – 14 Day

Chatham bay.

After a nice sail from the Tobago Cays enjoy the afternoon and evening at Chatham Bay, tucked in the embrace of the island behind a prominent headland. This anchorage is located in a pristine valley with no development on the hillsides. Along the beach, there are a few beach bars and consider stopping by Sekki’s Sunset Beach Bar, featured on the Travel Channel’s No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain.  A beach extends along much of the shore, an ideal site to relax, swim, or snorkel along the reef located on both sides of the bay.

No moorings are available. The best anchorage is in the northeast portion of the bay. Holding is good. Dinghy dockage: No dinghy dockage is available. Beach the dinghy just about anywhere.

The snorkeling off rocky Rapid Point is excellent.

Grenada Sailing Itinerary

As one of Grenada’s most popular cruising hangouts, Hog Island is a peaceful anchorage with plenty of snorkeling and a fun and exciting ambiance. Be sure to stop by Roger’s ramshackle shackle bar for a cool island drink!

After entering Hog Island, anchor anywhere between the mainland and Hog Island itself.

Dinghy dockage: Coming soon!

Enjoy relaxation aboard your yacht, swimming, kayaking, snorkeling and other water activities. There’s a small beach next to Roger’s ramshackle shackle bar.

Grenada Sailing Itinerary

Grand Mal is a well-protected anchorage in most conditions, and the most protected area in northerly swells. Breathe in the fresh island air at The Sunset View, a beachfront restaurant with spectacular views of the sea and anchorage, as well as live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights.

Anchor on the north side of the bay, south of Moliniere Point.

Dinghy dockage: Dinghy docks are available at The Sunset View.

Enjoy a fun dining atmosphere at The Sunset View, and the live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights.

Yachts can pull up to the dock at The Sunset View for water.

Over the next few days, make your way around this beautiful area of the Caribbean, including stops at Whistle Bay to eat delicious lobster, the Tobago Cays to see those famous wild iguanas, Sandy Island to see the most picturesque place for an island getaway, and St. George for amazing places to go exploring on land (like waterfalls and hiking trails).

Once you finally make your way back to return your boat rental from Grernada, we recommend taking some time to explore this fantastic area by land to truly get a feel for island life. Dine on some local grub, explore the day and night life, and catch the sunset or sunrise -- you won’t be disappointed.
