Delivered in 2013 and fresh from a full refurbishment in 2019, this 65m (213.3ft) yacht has a sizeable 106sqm (1,141sqft) sun deck that guests love, with two lounge areas, one shaded and one sunny, a fully equipped sit-up bar and a large jacuzzi with sun pads aft. Surrounded by wraparound tinted windscreens, the calm and cool sun deck dining area can be utilized even on the windiest of days.

As popular as the sun deck undoubtedly is, the real star of this spectacular show is the spacious air-conditioned beach club with fully equipped bar, sauna, day head and shower. A 22sqm (237sqft) fold-out swimming platform and a 10sqm (108sqft) drop-down sea terrace to port, bring guests a genuine sense of the outdoors enhanced by the natural light shimmering through the glass-bottomed pool on the main deck aft. It's a stunning space. With additional lounging, sunbathing, and nine other dining areas on the foredeck, bridge deck and main deck, she has abundant options for social and intimate al fresco relaxation, fun and entertainment.

Inside, the grand polished steel and leather staircase encircled by walls lined with macassar links the main deck's sophisticated bar and striking formal dining room with the bridge deck's intimate sky lounge and bar.

She welcomes 12 guests in six double cabins, a full-beam master suite on the main deck with study and full-height glass sliding doors opening onto a private breakfast balcony to starboard, a VIP suite on the bridge deck and four lower deck double cabins.

ILLUSION has a top speed of 28kn, cruising happily at 15kn, and her Van Oosannen-designed hull was built for maximum efficiency, significantly reducing fuel consumption and emissions for guilt-free island-hopping. Add Quantum Zero speed stabilizers for comfort underway or while at anchor and you have an unforgettable experience ready and waiting for you.

There is also outdoor seating available on the sky lounge’s aft deck with an extra lounging space on the main deck’s rear deck.

Illusion V’s interior design makes her an excellent option for families with young children.

She has a master suite, one VIP cabin, one double cabin, one cabin with two single beds, and three cabins with two single beds each, all of which can accommodate a total of twelve passengers. 

The very spacious master bedroom with full beams comes with a dressing area that has plenty of space for storage and benefits from having a bathroom for both the master and the guest. 

There are a total of 10 beds, including 1 Pullman bed in the room. In addition, she has the capacity to accommodate up to thirteen crew members, making her the ideal choice for luxurious yacht charters.

ILLUSION V yacht specifications

ILLUSION V is constructed with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. With her full-displacement hull, she is more stable when at anchor. 

This modern yacht is propelled by twin Caterpillar engines that enable her to cruise comfortably at 12 knots with a range of up to 5,000 nautical miles from her 115,000-liter fuel tanks at cruising speed.

However, she can reach a maximum speed of 15 knots.

Her guests are guaranteed an excellent degree of comfort regardless of whether the yacht is anchored or moving forward, thanks to a cutting-edge stabilization system that is installed onboard.

The exterior of ILLUSION is designed by Omega Architects.

The 213ft / 65m ILLUSION has been constructed with a aluminum hull and is powered by 2 x MTU 20V 4000 M93L with a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 28 knots.

The guest cabins comprise a primary suite with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom facilities, a cabin with a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom facilities and 4 cabins with a double bed and en-suite bathroom facilities.

€1M price drop on 55m Feadship motor yacht Illusion I

A €1,000,000 price drop has been announced on the 55.7-metre motor yacht Illusion I, listed for sale with Stig Jensen of SuperYachtsMonaco. 

Designed by De Voogt , she was built in steel and aluminium by Dutch yard Feadship to Lloyd's class and delivered in 1983. In 2010, a major refit at Pendennis saw her receive five-metre extension to accommodate a new beach club and garage alongside renewed teak decks and a fresh interior from Bannenberg & Rowell .

Accommodation is for up to 12 guests in six cabins consisting of a master and VIP suite on the main deck with two doubles and two twins below. There are quarters for up to 14 crew members in a double and six twin cabins.

An expansive main saloon features a warm décor and offers several separate seating areas for small groups or large social events, served by a generous bar. Further forward, a large oval table has seating for up to 12 guests.

The 2010 refit saw several enhancements made to her exterior areas and she now boasts a vast aft deck featuring a 12-seater table and a full bar. Up on the sun deck is more entertainment space, helped by sunpads, a dining area and a Jacuzzi.

Twin 1,125hp Caterpillar diesel engines give the classic yacht for sale a range of 3,500 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Illusion I is now asking €7,950,000.

Heesen deliver 80m superyacht GENESIS to her new owner

Dutch shipyard Heesen has successfully delivered the stunning 80m (262ft) superyacht GENESIS to her new owner, setting a new benchmark for the yard as the biggest yacht they have built to date.

Surpassing the previous record holders of Galactica Super Nova at 70m (229.6ft) and charter yacht ILLUSION at 65m (213ft), the new flagship is a custom-built motor yacht with design collaborations from Van Oossanen Naval Architects, Winch Design, and Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design. Embodying the classic, sporty DNA of the Heesen fleet, GENESIS is undeniably a true Heesen superyacht but with a contemporary and almost futuristic twist on previous builds.

Sporting a six-cabin layout, superyacht GENESIS hosts an army of indulgent features and amenities including a fully certified touch-and-go helipad that can also transform into an outdoor cinema, a glass-bottomed swimming pool, abundant exterior deck space for socializing and relaxing in the Mediterranean sun, plus an on-deck Jacuzzi and WiFi connectivity.

Enabling the owner and their guests seamless access to the sea, motor yacht GENESIS has a generous beach club environment with a wet bar, in addition to plenty of storage for adrenaline-fuelled water toys.
