The most expensive superyacht for sale is H3 . What began as a refit project escalated into a three-year rebuild that completely transformed the 95-metre Indian Empress. Twenty two years after her initial delivery, she was relaunched as the 105.3-metre H3, with virtually nothing left from her original design except the hull (which had also been extended a further 10 metres). This "rebirth" won her international acclaim and a World Superyacht Award . Her amenities are too numerous to mention but some standouts include a large pool with a waterfall feature, a huge spa and wellness area with a hairdresser and nail salon, a gymnasium and a climate-controlled winter garden in the owner's suite.

Builder : Lürssen Length : 91m Designers : Reymond Langton Design

Lady Lara joined the market in September 2023, marking the first time she had been available for sale since her delivery in 2015. She boasts a range of entertainment amenities, including two swimming pools – the largest of which can be transformed into a dancefloor – and a custom surround sound set-up. The second pool is found on the sundeck with a swim-up bar, with a large daybed and sunlounger also on this level. Accommodation is for a total of 16 guests across eight cabins and the master suite is positioned on a dedicated owner's deck. It includes a private exterior terrace accessible from the cabin, a library, his and hers bathrooms and dressing rooms.

Here Comes the Sun was delivered in 2017 as the flagship of the Amels fleet, a title that she has held for the past six years. She was commissioned by a repeat client with a penchant for The Beatles and has an exterior and interior from the boards of design royalty: Tim Heywood and Andrew Winch . Her outdoor spaces are certain to impress, housing a two-metre-deep swimming pool with contraflow jets and a beach club and bar that leads into a wellness centre with its own sauna, massage room and beauty salon. A full rebuild in 2021 won her a Neptune at the World Superyacht Awards .

Builder : Oceanco Length : 90m Designers : Luiz De Basto , Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture , Nuvolari Lenard

DAR was delivered in 2018 and won Motor Yacht of the Year "by a good margin" at the World Superyacht Awards the following year. Standout features include an owner's deck – complete with private saloon and Jacuzzi – as well as a wellness area, with Hammam, sauna and massage and beauty room. The upper deck sports a fresh water pool with counter current and the yacht also has a gymnasium with floor-to-ceiling windows. A six-person elevator serves all guest decks, with an owner's party of up to 14.

Pelorus was delivered in 2003 as the 11th largest superyacht in the world and easily the largest yacht to be built by Lürssen at the time. She was commissioned by a Saudi businessman who enjoyed a single cruise aboard his new vessel before a new buyer made an offer too good to refuse. Exterior designer Tim Heywood stocked the yacht with a top deck lido featuring two swimming pools, two helicopter pads and a vast sea-level platform that is revealed by opening the transom. The immense task of designing the interior was carried out by Terence Disdale, who opted to use natural materials wherever possible to maintain a "casual" atmosphere to offset the yacht’s imposing frame. Pelorus can welcome 18 guests with room for an additional 46 crew members.

Savannah 's boundary-pushing design landed her the Motor Yacht of the Year Award at the World Superyacht Awards in 2016. She was the first superyacht to receive a completely metallic paint job and was equipped with a first-of-its-kind hybrid power plant, making Savannah one of the first truly "eco-conscious" members of the international fleet – though she's more popularly known for her Nemo Lounge. Another first, the lounge is designed with a semi-submerged sheet of glazing that provides an incredible view beneath the waterline. The glass wall is also fitted with a drop-down screen for impromptu cinema nights.

With rotating seating areas, an interactive, 18-metre-high forest wall and 800 square metres of windows, Luminosity set a new standard for yacht design when she was delivered in 2022. Accommodation is across an impressive 11 cabins, not including the dedicated owner's deck with its own helicopter pad.  Meanwhile, her counter-flow swimming pool is the exterior centrepiece, kitted out with underwater speakers, an adjustable bottom and a custom chandelier inspired by a diamond. An accompanying four-degree plunge pool is decorated with on-theme visual cues such as mirror-backed acrylic "ice-cubes".

Builder : Lürssen Length : 74m Designers : Winch Design

Constructed to Lloyd’s classification, Aurora ' s key figures include an impressive volume of 2,113GT (split across four decks) and a beam of 13.2 metres, while a crew of 22 waits on an owner’s every need. 1920s Art Deco-inspired interiors house up to 16 guests in eight stately cabins. Among these is the private owner’s suite which features wraparound views and access to a private lounge foredeck. She also features an intimate top deck observation lounge with a daybed and a lounge with three bar stools forward, while a gym and Jacuzzi are found aft.

Phoenix 2  takes a page (or two) from Art Deco styling with her cherry velvet flooring and gilded details. The owner commissioned Winch Design to create her intricate cityscape-inspired design concept, including a 5.7-metre phoenix figurehead modelled after the Chrysler building's mounted eagles. Roaring highlights include a sommelier room, multiple swimming pools, a plush cinema room and a custom Steinway for some musical accompaniment at mealtimes. Accommodation is for up to 14 guests in seven cabins, including a full-beam owner's cabin accessible via a glass spiral staircase.

Builder : AKYACHT Length : 85m Designers : Michael Leach Design , Marco Yachts , H2 Yacht Design

After beginning life as a 77-metre explorer 14 years ago, the completion of Victorious was long-awaited. Key features include an indoor pool in the beach club, cocktail lounge, observation saloon and a wine and cigar “clubroom” which features its own fireplace. Accommodation is for 24 guests in 12 cabins, with further quarters for a crew of 22. The owner's suite is located up on the bridge deck and benefits from direct access to the Jacuzzi and sunpads aft. On the foredeck is a "touch-and-go" helipad that can also be used as an entertainment space.

To the amazement of onlookers, former UFC owner Frank Fertitta III’s $250 million yacht, Viva, got stuck at a Fort Lauderdale bridge. The 308-foot yacht, boasting a gym, pool, cinema, helipad, and even a beauty salon, may have suffered damage in the accident.

The Viva yacht, known as an active Feadship luxury vessel delivered in 2021, experienced a bit of inactivity at Fort Lauderdale on September 10th. The vessel, with a top speed of 20.0 knots, was caught in a state of inertia due to the massive luxury yacht being lodged against the bridge. A video of the 308-foot pleasure craft, named Motoryacht of the Year in 2022, shows the pearly white hull practically stuck to the bridge with barely any space for air to pass through. It doesn’t take a genius to guess that this unwanted attachment likely caused some damage, though it is difficult to confirm from the video.

CHICAGO, IL — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is awarding $38 million in grants to Michigan indigenous tribes to install clean energy upgrades.

The money is going to the Bay Mills Indian Community, Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians, Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi and Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, the agency said Thursday, Sept. 5.

Passengers scream as superyacht worth £95m crashes into smaller boat

This is the shocking moment a £95 million superyacht crashed into a smaller boat with at least six people on board.

Footage shows the 232 ft boat named Ice gliding through the water as it heads towards another boat off the coast of Yalıkavak, Turkey on Saturday.

Passengers on the smaller boat can be heard screaming as the superyacht sails towards them.

The vessel’s bow then crashed into the stern of a 101ft motor yacht carrying at least half a dozen people.

It is unclear why the collision occurred, but has been reported that at least half a dozen people were on the smaller boat at the time.

The boat suffered major damage at the stern but no onboard was injured.

The superyacht is part of the Lürssen shipbuilding company and can hold 14 guests and 27 crew members.

Features include a large helipad, beauty salon and bathtubs carved out of solid limestone.

There is also a state-of-the-art gym, jacuzzi and countless lounge and relaxation areas, both in- and outdoors.

The Coast Guard has launched an investigation into the incident.

In June two boats were involved in a devastating crash and a sailor was thrown overboard during a yacht race.

A man was flung from a boat as competitors battled rough seas during the Round the Island Race in the Isle of Wight today.

He then desperately clung onto his life jacket before being rescued.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) rushed to his aid to pull him from the water despite the extreme conditions.

Iranian cancer research scientist awarded $3.8 million in federal discrimination lawsuit against UAB

A federal jury in Birmingham awarded nearly $4 million to an Iranian cancer research scientist who said she was stalked, held at gunpoint and attacked while being called a “sand n----” during her nine-year employment at UAB’s medical school.

Dr. Fariba Moeinpour, an Iranian national who worked at a UAB lab from February 2011 until she was fired in February 2020, claimed she was harassed on a daily basis at her job “because of her race and national origin.”

In a statement, UAB said it “does not tolerate harassment, retaliation or discrimination of any kind. We are committed to our values, which include integrity, respect and collaboration, and work to cultivate an environment where all members of our community feel welcome, safe and supported. We respectfully disagree with the verdict in this case involving former employees, and we are considering next steps.”

Among the discrimination and harassment Moeinpour said she was subject to included a co-worker telling her, “Bitch, you have to leave this lab and go back to Iran!”

That same co-worker, identified in Moeinpour’s lawsuit as Mary Jo Cagle, allegedly drove her car at Moeinpour and Moeinpour’s daughter and pointed a gun at Moeinpour in the UAB parking deck and saying this is what “we” do to a “sand n-----.”

Moeinpour said she complained to her boss and to human resources but was ignored.

She said her supervisor claimed he could not do anything about Cagle because “he would lose his job or be killed or would kill himself.”

The supervisor said when he threatened to fire Cagle if she did not stop harassing Moeinpour, four men showed up to his house and shoved him into his car.

When Moeinpour was in her supervisor’s office to complain that action wasn’t taken against Cagle, she said her supervisor became agitated, called the police and threatened to ruin her reputation and have her jailed, saying the conversations about Moeinpour’s complaints are ”his word against hers.”

When Moeinpour said she could prove what they discussed, the supervisor “grabbed Ms. Moeinpour by the chin and knocked her down, cutting her face with his nails and causing her to bleed,” according to the lawsuit.

“When Ms. Moeinpour fell to the floor, he fell on top of her and held her down. In an effort to get him off of her, Ms. Moeninpour slapped him,” the suit stated.

When an officer got to the office, he led Moeinpour out of the building and said he was taking her to jail. Moeinpour then fainted when she heard she was being jailed, the lawsuit claimed.

“When Ms. Moeinpour woke up, her ankle and wrists were handcuffed, and she was belted on a gurney in the emergency room,” the suit stated, adding that she was eventually taken to the jail and held overnight.

Moeinpour was fired on Feb. 13, 2020 by UAB without anyone speaking to her, according to her lawsuit.

On Monday, a jury in Birmingham federal court sided with Moeinpour, finding the scientist had reason to believe she was harassed based on her nationality and that Cagle acted with malice.

The jury ordered UAB to pay Moeinour $3 million, while Cagle was ordered to pay the scientist $500,000 in compensatory damages and $325,000 in punitive damages.
