My Fiance (husband on the trip) and I will be honeymooning on the Carnival Breeze in April. I wanted to snorkel at least once on the trip. My Fiance has never cruised nor snorkeled. Has anyone had experience with the Grand Turk Carnival excursion -  Catamaran Sail,Snorkel & Private Beach with Drinks ? I've read the reviews, but I'm still not sure because of the excessive number of people on the excursion.

Ship Excursions like this are indeed generally crowded.  The excursions are ran by Oasis Divers.  The  guides have good reputations.  Just make sure that the excursion information says ok for beginning snorkelers. 

There are a couple of other dive/snorkel companies On Grand Turk with good reps and smaller excursions.

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! ❤️  What type of experience are you looking for: just a small group but from a boat, plenty of others but a party vibe, simply floating in the water and seeing fish but not necessarily coral?  When my husband and I went to GT in 2018 we enjoyed spending time at Jack's Shack and saw a lot of sea life in the water and didn't have to share the space with many others.  The price was right too - $10 for an umbrella and 2 loungers plus we got a free rum shot and split a drink (around $11 with tip) so less than $25 for the day.  It was enough snorkeling for me, but it isn't as full an experience as snorkeling from a boat with even more to see.

Are Oasis and Chukka the same company?  Chukka was in the video.  My rash guard is very similar to theirs (obviously without the logo 😉  ).

Might be related or use similar stuff.  Chukka is a Caribbean wide outfit that operates out of Jamaica.

Thank you, and thank you for this information! I have heard of Jack's Shack but had not really explored that as an option! How did you get to Jack's Shack? Can you walk there or do you have to take a taxi? I had asked about Snorkeling from the boat because I have done those type excursions before - but I'll be honest I did not really see much to make the snorkeling worth while. I did enjoy the catamaran though. 

It is about a 1/3 mile along the beach to the left as you walk off the pier and go past the more crowded beach area in front of the ship (so you will see the ship on your left from the beach at Jack's).  We found it a very reasonable walk, but I think there is a way to get there with a taxi too (it sounds like the streets have enough traffic they aren't very walkable).

We loved our time and it was very relaxing, even with some local dogs nestling under the lounger to share the shade 🙂  These were different dogs than Topher (Rest in Peace) and Calypso, but they seemed clean and well behaved.  Other tourists played with the dogs but I would be leery of that since I don't know them or their owner.  I think they liked our spot because we left them alone 😉

I did the tour to icacos island and palomino with the captain Jay, pablito and I forgot the tall guy name but three of them were great! We had a blast on our tour. Drinks were amazing. The crew was making sure we were safe and the most important part make sure we had fun and we enjoy the tour. Thanks for everything !! I will be back.

The spot chosen for snorkeling was just amazing. Flamenco beach is definitely a must. But what made a difference is the awesome Sail Getaways crew. All of them were super attentive and nice with us. They went above and beyond to ensure our trip was perfect. Not once I had to order for a refill of my drink. 11 out of 10, 100% recommended, I'll definitely repeat.

Was all of our first time and it was so beautiful and fun. We got to see a barracuda, big jellyfish and a bunch of other little fish. Wonderful experience. Clear turquoise water, white sandy beaches, lush green islands, and a remarkable crew. It was a perfect day of swimming, snorkeling, and positive vibes all around. Highly recommend these guys.

My friend and I took the tour to Tamarindo and Flamenco beach and it was amazing. The weather was perfect which made the ride super smooth. We were a fortunate group to enjoy a beautiful day. It was our first time experience and we loved it. We are beginner swimmers (to say the least) and the gentlemen were kind enough to get in the water with us so we wouldn’t miss the opportunity. Everyone on the boat was super friendly and made us feel like family! It’s definitely a must do activity when visiting the island. Looking forward to many more!!!

Great quick getaway for our group of 13. Quick boat ride to snorkel, excellent fish viewing and lunch. Then a quick boat ride to Flamenco Beach to wander around. The staff was friendly, knowledgable, and patient.

We took the three-in-one catamaran getaway on New Year's Day with Omar and Arturo. Our group was 2 adults a 9 year old and a 5 year old. All of us had an amazing time. Omar and Arturo were awesome sailors/hosts/guides making sure they got us to Icacos safely for snorkeling, answered all our questions, taught us about Puerto Rico and even served us delicious drinks and snacks. A really beautiful afternoon/evening with super friendly guides, Omar and Arturo.

View Aruba's beautiful beaches and resort hotels while relaxing on the open decks of a sailing catamaran specially designed and built for day cruises.

The catamaran moors at the west point of the island, and ladders provide easy access to the water for 50 minutes of swimming and snorkeling in the crystal-clear water teeming with tropical fish.

Continue to Pelican Marina and experience Aruba's famous Palm Beach . Here on the white-sand beach, the crew serves unlimited drinks . Relax on a lounge chair or take a walk along the beach.

More adventurous guests may want to try one of the many watersport activities (at your own expense) or try your luck in one of the casinos within walking distance.

Sail back to the cruise terminal, enjoying tropical cocktails and entertaining Caribbean music .

Guests wishing to stay at the beach independently are welcome to do so but must make their own way back to the ship.

Snorkel equipment and instruction are provided. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Guests who are pregnant or have a respiratory, heart, back or neck condition or epilepsy are not allowed to participate. Waiver must be signed and medical conditions disclosed. Participants must be able to enter and exit the vessel on their own and must be able to swim to snorkel.

A hidden gem best accessed by boat–“Cliff House” refers to a bay along Kapalua where a small house perches on a cliff. This location has amazing visibility, corals, and reef fish to keep you mesmerized during your entire snorkel.
