I have just had the worst experience with this company and the customer service. Mai Tai charters needs a lesson on how to talk and treat customers. Especially when it comes to our time. I've been trying to book a boat for me and my friends for months now. I've talked to Dan who I believe is the owner or manager I assume since he's always been the point of contact. I've wanted to come just check out the boat in person and make sure it's up to par with my liking and size. As with pictures and online advertising many of you can vouch and know can be often times be deceiving. Especially when a lot of this companies photos are just people floating in tubes. Multiple times he's told me I can come check it out in person and then cancels on me last minute when I'm already across town headed to the bay. Once even cancelling on me when I was already there waiting for him or his captain to arrive. He's been doing this for weeks now so I just want to save all you guys the time and money by recommending you think twice before considering Mai Tai.

Had a wonderful time on our 3-hour ride. The website is very functional and lay out all options, the staff was terrific and provide excellent service. We were able to put together an 8-person charter in about 20 minutes, and had a wonderful afternoon!

Drew - You rock and the crew had a great time with you and your family. Sorry no whales showed to entertain but I know the Sea Lions are always fun and love to engage. Come back this summer and we'll put out the floaties and have a fun swim party. Cheers, Dan

Had a blast sailing with Mai Tai Charters last week! We cruised all around San Diego, even under Coronado bridge - which was a a new experience since one is usually going OVER it not under. It was really windy, as it would be on ANY boat, so i do advise always bring a sweater or a blanket. The staff is incredible! The bartender Jessa made me one of the famous Mai Tai Charters cocktails and made it more sweet than liquor-y as i asked, and they come in super cute branded cups with "Mai tai Charters" printed on them. The captain drove the boat very smoothly over water and gave us important instructions of where not to stand to make sure we won't get hit by any sails, it was very windy so he stopped a couple times to let the sun warm us up which was very appreciated. The crew even blew up some floaties for everybody when we anchored down and were able to jump off the boat for a swim. Overall i had a memorable experience and would absolutely recommend Mai tai Charters for anybody interested in renting beautiful boats wanting to get the San Diego experience.

If i could give this business a 0, i would. It's a scam, don't waste your time with this business. Weird extra charges came up & my friends and i weren't happy. We tried to contact them to get this figured out but were ghosted. Really unprofessional, just save your money and don't bother with them. PLEASE!

What an amazing trip! Captain Mike and Nikki were outstanding. They customized the experience for us and we loved every minute. Highly recommend Mai Tai and their team!!

I booked a 6 hour sunset cruise with Mai Tai Charters for a Labor Day Weekend celebration. We had Captain Chris and our deckhand was also named Chris. These guys are legends. Our bartender was named Maddie, and she was fantastic as well. They provided the best service and made our experience unforgettable. Chris & Chris took us to areas on the water with spectacular views. This was our second time booking with Mai Tai Charters, and certainly will not be the last. If you are looking for an amazing experience on the water with a great crew - this is where you'll find it. - Matty B

Could not have asked for a better time than when I went out on a Mai Tai Yacht Charter Labor Day Weekend, 2021. Captain Mike and Niki were fantastic, especially with the two 5-year olds we had on board. Both the kids and adults had a blast! Will not hesitate to return and cannot imagine booking with another company in the future!

This was so fun!! Did a team building off site management bay tour after lunch! This management team works so hard and needed a fun day! So lunch at Bali hai and drinks and bay cruise with mai tai yacht charters was just the thing!! Was so much fun- relaxing, laid back, no work talk, just enjoying the environment and vibe we live within!! We pay the sunshine tax- about time we enjoyed it!! Captain Joey and his beautiful hostess were soooo good, took such good care of us, very accommodating and we had a great time! Blasting top gun music under the midway with all the tourists around the bay - we were like rock stars!! Kudos to Captain and crew, awesome job!! We ll be back in the future!!

Great experience for a bachelor/bachelorette party. The captain and crew are all super chill and the whole thing went off flawlessly. Our bartender BB was excellent as well and kept the party going's and coordinating all the logistics...would highly recommend her and the captains to anybody looking for a booze cruise in San Diego!
