Besides the charter fee for the mega yacht, are there additional costs i should budget for.

Here is the example of all obligatory costs for one of the Luxury Yacht:

LUXURY YACHT: 30,000.00 € APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance): 30% of the charter fee – 9,000.00 €

VAT is included in all the prices.

What is Advance Provisioning Allowance – APA

When chartering a crewed yacht under MYBA terms or special Europe Yacht Charter terms on the fully crewed yachts, you will be required to make a deposit in advance of the charter, which is separate to the charter or booking fee.

This deposit is called the “advance provisioning allowance” or APA. The APA amount is used to cover expenses incurred during the course of the charter such as fuel, food, beverages, mooring fees, visa fees, harbour fees, park fees, taxes, and other expenses not included in the Charter Fee. In the event of cancellation of the charter the APA is refundable.

The captain of the yacht is responsible for accounting for all APA expenses during the charter, and the breakdown will be presented to you in a clear manner at the end of the charter.

If the costs incurred during the course of the charter are less than the APA deposit, then the difference will be refunded to the Charterer at the end of the charter.

If the costs incurred during the course of the charter that are over and above the APA deposit then this difference will be payable by the Charterer at the end of the charter.

What is the cancellation policy?

If the Client wants to change the charter terms or cancel the reservation, this must be done in writing (via e-mail, fax, or post.)

If the Client cancels the reservation in writing, Charteree reserves the right to apply the following cancellation charges:

• In the event of a cancellation made up to 45 days prior to the start date of the charter period Charteree charges 50% of the Charter Fee.
• In the event of a cancellation made within 45 days prior to the start of the charter period Charteree charges 100% of the Charter Fee.
• In the event of a cancellation made after check-in Charteree retains 100% of the Charter Fee and charges to the Client all expenses incurred as a result of the cancellation.

If the Client is able to find a new rental client for the same period of the charter and under the same terms and conditions, Charteree reserves the right to charge for any administrative and manipulative costs incurred by the change.

In the event that the Client has to cancel the reservation due to objective reasons (death in the family or serious illness), Charteree is not liable to return the paid amount, but if the Client rents the vessel in the same period Charteree will organize charter on other adequate vessel for the next appropriate date or for the next season, i.e. Charteree will issue a credit note that can be used in the agreed period.

The credit note is calculated taking into account the difference between the cancelled reservation and the reservation later confirmed for the same vessel and in the same period. Charteree is not liable for damages in the event of reservation changes or cancellation due to situations such as war, riot, strikes, terrorist activity, exceptional sanitary conditions, natural disasters, interventions of local authorities, etc.)

When can I get in touch with the skipper?

You can get in touch with the skipper as soon as you’ve completed your booking.

Our skippers are highly qualified and knowledgeable about their locality. They all speak English. The skipper is to be payed in the marina at the check in (for crewed charter, the crew is already included in the price)

COVID-19 cancellation

We understand that there is an uncertainty regarding travel plans this year. For that reason we are offering free reschedule of the charter.

In case of travel restrictions or a CDC Travel Health Notice for any country to/from the charter destination will be issued and it won’t be possible for charterers to reach charter destination then:

What is a Preference list?

Because we want to provide you with a stylish travel and unforgettable experience on board of our luxury yachts, we have taken the time to create this custom preference list, with attention to detail and a sophisticated service that is aligned to your crew personal requirements. Completion of the preference list document would let our crew know about the specific likes and dislikes you and your guests may have and also potential allergies, and it gives us the opportunity to plan and cater to your individual tastes. Please contact all members of your party before completing the preference list, as we want to ensure that their favorites are on board as well. The Preference list will be send to you approximately one month before the charter by our booking manager.

Description & Features

O’PARI, among world’s largest and most prestigious Mega Yachts for Charter, is the new flagship yacht of Golden Yachts and launched in 2020. A truly unique masterpiece with impressive features throughout her 5 decks connected with a lift. O’PARI is equipped with resort-style onboard amenities and high-tech specifications, providing to guests onboard an exclusive and unpararelled experience. Her exterior design features soft hull lines that give her a distinctive stretched silhouette. Her impressive interior volumes with high decks, peculiar layout, top-quality finishings and details are studied in order to satisfy the most demanding clients. On deck, there are several spaces dedicated to entertainment and relax, including the impressive sundeck that features a jacuzzi with wide sunpads, bar and dining table, DJ booth and dance floor and vast lounge area. The bridge deck features the second pool/jacuzzi, handcrafted mosaic, surrounded by sunpads. Inside, there is a fully-equipped gym with a wide selection of machines and weights. The aft upper deck is the ideal place for alfresco setup, casual dining and entertaining, enjoying the views from the lounge and banquette seating. On the foredeck is located the touch-and-go helipad. There is yet another social space on the Main deck which would be perfect for aperitifs ahead of moving into the main saloon for dining. On the lower deck is the extensive ‘beach house’ for making the most of your time close to the waterline, with extended swim platform (4m long), sun lounges, umbrellas and garage, housing all O’PARI’S watertoys and tenders. O’PARI’s interior is no doubt a 5* environment, with quality custom furnishing, exotic marble and various timbers, plus high-tech LED lighting and floor to ceiling windows for panoramic views. Adjacent to the Beach House, on the lower deck, is the dedicated massage room, with warm Turkish hammam and dry Finnish sauna, allowing guests to relax after days enjoying the sunshine and island hopping. Beach House includes as well a bar with decorative vetrite in the background. The upper saloon and main saloon are tranquil lounges for relaxing, socialising and enjoying the state of the art AV entertainment system, including audio distribution system with independent Airplay, Bluetooth, Internet radio, Spotify, tune in radio, Pandora, Sirus Xm, Deezer, Napster in each area of the yacht; wired and wireless CRESTRON touch screens for music and TV control, or guests can connect their own iPhone/iPad/Android device. O’PARI has 21 TVs installed throughout the yacht, each with independent movie players, satellite receiver, media player, Apple TV, blue ray players, local TV channels and local inputs for gaming consoles and video cameras. There is a fantastic outdoor cinema on the sun deck and the movie server is equipped with 450+ movies. Guests have individual control of all lights, climate, blinds and shades from analog classic switches, mounted touch panels or wireless touch screens with Smart Graphics user interface for easier control. The main saloon is adjacent to a formal dining room for up to 14 guests, complete with custom-crafted glass table and contemporary chandelier. O’PARI features a total of 14 luxurious staterooms: On the upper deck are the owner’s suite, VIP suite and 2 Double staterooms. On the main deck is one VIP suite, one salon/double cabin, 3 double staterooms, 3 twin staterooms with a Pullman berth in each, then on the lower deck are the twin/staff cabin with a Pullman berth, and one single cabin. All guest cabins have private ensuites and the impeccable styling with original artworks and custom-designed furnishings. The impressive owner’s suite on the upper deck, a true private haven, with wraparound windows, walk-in robes, dressing room, lounge area, office, expansive ensuite with bath and shower, and his ‘n hers basins. About the crew, the captain.

Captain / Alex Skaris Greek / 1980

Alex holds a Captain Class A’ Diploma from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos and certificates in Lifesaving Equipment and Drills, First-Aid, Fire-Fighting & Prevention as well as a Dive Master certificate. He commenced a career in 2002 following his passion for the sea and served on cruise ships, but his love for yachts brought him to the yachting industry a year later. Alex has since served on motor yachts both as a Chief Officer and as a Captain with top references and 80% repeat clientele. He is really talented and has expert knowledge of the Greek Sea. What excites him the most about being a captain on a charter yacht is that he is given the chance to share unique experiences.

Interior Design & Engineering

The 95-metre O’PARI yacht was built by Golden Yachts in 2020 and became their flagship. She cruises at 16 knots and is both comfortable and quiet while underway.

Her impact on the marine world and the atmosphere is reduced, thanks to DPF systems that prevent soot particles and other hazardous substances from polluting the environment.

The interior of the O’PARI motor yacht features an abundance of luxury finishes that include white onyx marbles, Lalique crystals, mosaics, and plenty of precious woods and fabrics.

Up to 12 guests can be accommodated during your O’PARI yacht charter. The master’s deck boasts a generous volume with its own separate office, lounge and walk-in wardrobe. The suite is blessed with an all-round panoramic view from the upper deck.

The equally impressive second suite, located on the main deck, can be configured as a suite or converted into a double cabin. The rest of the party will sleep across a further 9 cabins: six doubles and three twins.

The open-plan sun deck of the O’PARI motor yacht is the perfect setting to soak up the sunshine or take in the breathtaking scenery with a drink from the fully furnished bar. Here, you can unwind in the Jacuzzi, drape yourself over the comfy seats in the lounge, or kick back with a movie. There’s also a DJ booth that can turn the sundeck into your own alfresco dancefloor.

You can maintain your fitness regime with the fully equipped gym on the bridge deck. It leads directly to a pool so you can cool down after a punishing workout. When you’re ready for some serious relaxation, head to the beach club to make use of the dry Finnish sauna, Turkish hammam and massage room, soak yourself in the spa pool on the sun deck, or sit back with a movie in the cinema.

There are also a number of inflatables to play with, including an ocean pool, a jungle jim, and a slide. And if you want to explore dry land for a change, you can take the electric scooters or bicycles to help you cover more ground.

The Sun Deck provides a unique area for gathering and relaxing with an open bar cozy dedicated cinema projector. On the Bridge Deck there is a generously sized Jacuzzi-swimming pool with handcrafted mosaic pool bed. A central garage on the Lower Deck allows for an expansive beach club aft, with direct access to the extraordinary swim platform which is more than four meters long. The club itself comprises a steam room, massage room, hammam room, outdoor shower and as well as a bar with decorative vetrite in the background.

I realize that Moscow is on the Volga River, which connects to the Caspian Sea, but I’m wondering how foreign vessels can reach it? Or do foreign travel companies just buy a yacht that’s already "in the system"?

From the Caspian Sea, Gary, yachts come up the Volga then on to the Oka River and enter a tributary call the Moskva ("Moscow" in Russian) River. Alternate route is Volga to man-made Moscow Canal (which connects Volga to Moskva River). The big superyachts can’t get into the city limits because the river is only 3 inches deep. Just outside of the city, however, the water is 6 meters deep, perfect for large yachts. Yacht passengers easily travel into the city by limousine. (I imagine thoughts of hovercrafts, etc are a consideration for someday…) James Bond, anyone?

Moscow River

Moskva river has the form of a snake and is the main waterway of Moscow, consisting of a cascade of reservoirs. Within the city, Moskva river is 80 km long, 120 m - 200 m wide and up to 14 m deep. The narrowest part of the river is the Kremlin area in the city center, and the most extensive is around the Luzhniki Stadium in the south. 

Bridges in Moscow

Undoubtedly, bridges and embankments are among the most scenic spots and main attractions of Moscow. Plus, they are so romantic.

• Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge –  Great Stone Bridge –  is the main bridge of Moscow . The first stone bridge was constructed here in the 17th century.
• Patriarshy Bridge  is one of the youngest pedestrian bridges, built in 2004. The bridge connects the iconic Christ the Saviour Cathedral with funky Bersenevskaya embankment, extremely popular place among locals for its trendy art galleries, cafes and panoramic views. Patriarshy Bridge used to be a shooting location for ex-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's New Year speech to the nation.
• Borodinsky Bridge,  erected in honor of the 100th anniversary of the glorious victory in the Battle of Borodino (which every Russian kid knows about), a fierce legendary battle during the Russo-French war of 1812.
• Bagration Bridge  one of the  pedestrian bridges with most picturesque views of the Moskva River with its numerous upper-level observation platforms. The bridge was erected to celebrate the 850th anniversary of Moscow city in 1997.
• Krymsky Bridge  used to be in Top 5 Europe’s longest bridges some 100 years ago. The bridge got its name after the ancient Krymsky ford which Crimean Tartars used to invade Moscow in the 16 th  century.

Embankments of Moscow

Moscow river boats 37 embankments, the most popular being Kremlevskaya, Sofiyskaya, Pushkinskaya, Vorobyovskaya and Kolomenskaya.

You can get the most spectacular views of the Kremlin from  Kremlevskaya and Sofiyskaya embankments.

• Pushkinkaya embankment  is the most romantic in Moscow. It meanders along Gorky Park and Neskuchnyi garden and is rich for all kinds of entertainment as well as cozy nooks, including Olivkovy beach, the famous Zeleny theater as well as a pier for river cruisers.
• Vorobyevskaya embankment  is part of Sparrow Hills nature reserve. This place opens a beautiful panorama of the river and city from the observation deck and is considered to be the place for taking serious decisions in life.
• Embankment in Kolomenskoye  Museum-Reserve has a special charm due to its peculiar geographical relief. The boat trip around Kolomenskoye would be the most peaceful in your life.
• Taras Shevchenko embankment  is popular among photographers for its modern Moscow City skyscrapers. Highly recommended for your night boat trip.
• Embankments of Moscow are the pride of the capital. A distinctive feature of each of the promenades is its architecture and beautiful views. In addition, almost all the embankments of Moscow have a rich history and a lot of notable buildings.

Different epochs

Taking a walk along the Moskva River by boat, you will witness the architecture of Moscow from different eras and styles. Archaeological studies indicate that already in the XI century there stood a fortified settlement on Borovitsky hill, which is now called the Kremlin. Little fortress could not accommodate all the residents of the rapidly growing city, and the Grand Duke ordered the construction of a new Kremlin, larger than the former.

Boat trip around Kolomenskoe Park

Moscow river boat trip starts from the pier Klenovy (Maple) Boulevard and provides reat views of Nicholas Perervinsky monastery.

Nicholas Perervinsky monastery was founded at the time of the Battle of Kulikov (1380). The monastery, got its name from the surrounding area – “Pererva”, which can be translated like “tear off” and because of the location –  here it abruptly changed its course, turning to Kolomna, standing on the opposite bank.

Nowadays Kolomenskoye is State Art, Historical, Architectural and Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve, which doors are open to everyone who wants to get in touch with the ancient history of Russia.

Monasteries and temples

• Novospassky Monastery
• Founded in the 13th century on the site where now is located the Danilovsky monastery. After a few decades, in 1330, Ivan Kalita moved the monastery onto the Borovitskii hill of the Kremlin. However, in the 15th century, Spassky Monastery again moved, this time to a more spacious place on Krasnoholmskaya waterfront.
• Church of St. Nicholas in Zayaitskom
• Erected in the middle of the XVIII century in baroque style. The building survived after the 1812 fire, but the utensils were destoyed. Parishioners collected donations and restored the temple on their own. In Soviet times, it was closed and re-opened only in 1992.
• Cathedral of Christ the Savior
• The church was originally erected in honor of the victory over Napoleon and was being under construction for long 44 years. Notoriously demolished in 1937 to be a giant swimming pool under open sky. The current building was constructed in 1990s. It is the tallest and one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world.
• The temple was built in 1679-82, during the reign of Tsar Fedor Alekseevich, in late Muscovite Baroque style and can be characterized as bonfire temple. Each gable is a symbol of a heavenly fire.
• Novodevichy Convent
• The most famous concent and monastery in Moscow, presumably founded in 1524. Novodevichy’s status has always been high among other monasteries, it was in this monastery where the women of the royal blood, the wives of Tsars and local rulers of Moscow were kept in prison as nuns.
• St. Andrew’s church  (male acts as Compound Patriarch of Moscow)
• St. Andrew’s church stands right on the slopes of the Sparrow Hills, on the way down to the Moskva River, on the territory of the Nature Reserve “Sparrow Hills”. The monastery is small in size but is very cozy. It’s situated in a quiet courtyard surrounded by temples, fruit trees and flowers.
