Bayview yacht club engagement, detroit, michigan | emma & alex.
Alex and Emma were first introduced by two mutual friends back in 2013, a little bit of match-making, and the rest is history. They share a love for the outdoors, Northern Michigan, and the water. Emma works as an ICU nurse, and Alex is a professional sailor. Alex recently purchased his uncles’ old boatyard in Detroit to start his new business, Detroit Boat Works. The yard has been in the family for over 40 years. Alex purchased this fantastic tug boat – interestingly, the tug boat had a home at The Goat Yard for 20 years, and Alex feels honored to renovate her to her former glory. We had a blast laughing and shooting in the mist and rain with their cute pup Milo. Could I even ask for a more rad and exciting couple? I think not! I can’t wait for their wedding this summer.

Welcome to Bayview Yacht Club Junior Sailors, Inc!
Since its inception in 1957, the BYC Junior Sailing program has been teaching safe boat handling, motivating young people ages 8-18 toward gaining confidence and competence in all phases of sailing as well as promoting good fellowship.
The Bayview Junior Sailing Program welcomes you to the 2024 season with a roster of instructors all experienced in teaching youngsters the skill and joy of small boat sailing. The Program Director and all instructors are certified by the US Sailing Association.

Bridgeview Yacht Club is a wedding venue located in Island Park. Nestled on Barnum Island Wharf, this estate gives couples a picturesque waterfront view as their romantic backdrop. The elegant event spaces, timeless decor, and dedicated staff can turn any soon-to-be-wed's big day into an unforgettable celebration.
Facilities and Capacity
Bridgeview Yacht Club can accommodate up to 400 wedding guests in its picturesque indoor and outdoor event spaces. Each room is equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment to create any couple's ideal atmosphere. Their main indoor setting, The Pavilion, sports a timeless aesthetic with its crystal chandeliers, ceiling drapery, and large windows for plenty of natural light. Cocktail hours can take place in the State Room, which features a 25-foot long granite bar for guests to enjoy their drink menu. Nearlyweds that dream of an open-air ceremony will have access to the picturesque grounds, from the intimate pergola to the lush gardens. The Bridgeview Room, a luxurious dressing suite, is also available onsite for couples and their wedding party to prepare for the altar in style.

During your planning process, the staff will go above and beyond to turn your nuptial vision into a reality.
