This friendly Sai Kung-based club is ideal for boating, yacht racing and watersports enthusiasts. Hebe Haven Yacht Club offers easy access to some of Hong Kong€™s best sailing waters and beaches.It actively promotes youth sailing at its Sail Training Centre and runs regular sailing courses for adults too.The club has a busy racing calendar, notably hosting an annual 24-hour charity dinghy race and Hong Kong€™s biggest summer regatta, the Typhoon Series.

The club prides itself on its friendliness to new joiners and relatively reasonable rates for facilities compared to other boat clubs such asRoyal Hong Kong Yacht Clubor theAberdeen Boat Club. So if you€™re not a fan of overly formal environments, Hebe could be the best option for you.

Established in 1963, The Hebe Haven guild has been providing boating and seafaring facilities as a non-public members club within the picturesque bay of Pak Sha Wan in Sai Kung for over fifty years. the encompassing lineation and near islands in Port Shelter offer a number of the simplest sailing waters and beaches in port.

Since its beginning, the Club’s main objectives area unit to produce top notch seafaring facilities and yacht athletics events for members along with the event of youth sailing. Members have worked arduous to keep up the friendly character of the Club. Most members area unit water sports and seafaring enthusiasts and also the Club’s boatyard, wherever members will do annual maintenance work on their boats, is often a middle of activity.

Hebe Haven, a.k.a. Pak Sha Wan, is a perfect harbor in Sai Kung for yachts and boats. The harbor is surrounded by a long peninsula extending from Tsiu Hang with only one opening to Port Shelter (a.k.a. Ngau Mei Hoi).

Along the shore, there are all kinds of businesses related to boating and sailing, such as shipyards, Hebe Haven Yacht Club and Hong Kong Scout Association – Pak Sha Wan Tam Wah Ching Sea Activity Center. It is easy to rent tackle, bait and other fishing equipment here.

Hikers on MacLehose Trail Stage 4 in Ma On Shan Country Park can get a good view of Hebe Haven. Other well-known scenic spots in the view are High Junk Peak (Tiu Yue Yung), Shelter Island (Ngau Mei Chau) and Ninepin Group (Kwo Chau Islands) .

Race format: All participating  RS Quest, Pico, Laser, Optimist, Hansa 303, 2.4mR  sailors will sail two passage races that start in Port Shelter and finish at the club. More details will be available on a briefing board at the Garden Bar that morning.
