Lil Yachty is kicking his birthday month off with a bang by gifting fans with a surprise three-pack. The new bundle of singles includes his viral hit “Strike (Holster),” “SOLO STEPPIN CRETE BOY,” and “Slide,” the last of which is accompanied by a freshly released music video.

The clip is backed by AMD Visuals and shows off Lil Boat’s love for green. Sporting an all-green outfit consisting of a chunky sweater and beanie, the 25-year-old talent spends the day with his friends while surrounded by nature.

“Slide” is a follow-up to Yachty’s most recent album Let’s Start Here . The 14-track project made landfall in January 2023 and housed guest appearances from Fousheé, Justine Skye, Teezo Touchdown, Diana Gordon, and Daniel Caesar.

Fans hoping to catch a live show from the “Poland” rapper are in luck, as he is heading out on his headlining tour this fall. The Field Trip Tour is set to kick off on Sept. 21 in Washington, D.C., and will hit major cities like Montreal, Boston, Toronto, Las Vegas, and more. The trek will come to a close with a finale show in Atlanta on Nov. 8.

Outside of his own releases, the Georgia-raised spitter can be heard dropping guest verses on recent tracks like “Taylor Port Junkie” by Rylo Rodriguez and “Boat Interlude” by Veeze. He’s also been having fun making surprise appearances on Drake’s current It’s All A Blur Tour.

Today (Aug. 4), Lil Yachty decided to bless the masses with a couple of songs to enjoy. The A-side is the ChildBoy and MaxFlames-produced “Slide,” which sees him on a stream of consciousness about women, guns, and drugs.

“You got a b**ch tucked and you said it was cool, I could tell it was definitely an issue, yeah, come with me swingin’ with pistols, if it’s smoke, let me know, it’s an issue, if you’re pretty, I might have to kiss you, if you’re ugly, I hit from the binnack, I’ma n** on her butt when I’m finished, let the whole world now I’m a menace, sippin’ on drank, swingin’ a rack, stealin’ a rack, pullin’ a Track’ , yeah, keep it intact, all of my n**gas know just how to act…”

Yachty’s second drop, “SOLO STEPPIN CRETE BOY,” takes a less melodic, slightly slower approach with a bass-heavy soundscape provided by Gentuar Memishi and Beats By Bangs. With that said, the subject matter remains largely the same with catchy lines detailing the QC-signed talent’s rockstar escapades. Along with the April drop “ Strike (Holster) ,” both tracks were released as a quick-strike EP — one that presumably serves as a prelude to an upcoming full-length album.

Fans are also able to check out a matching video for “Slide” that comes courtesy of Yachty ‘s go-to director: AMD Visuals. The short clip shows him enjoying a pizza alone, hanging with friends outside of his Hummer EV, and more.

Back in January, Yachty liberated his fifth studio LP, Let’s Start Here. , an experimental body of work that saw the rapper delving into alternative styles like psychedelic rock. Diana Gordon, Teezo Touchdown, Justine Skye, Fousheé, Ant Clemons, Daniel Caesar, Nick Hakim, and more made appearances on the genre-bending effort. Lil Yachty Shares New Tracks “Slide” and “Solo Steppin Crete Boy"

Ahead of the kickoff of his Field Trip Tour in September, Yachty has released new tracks and a music video.

As promised , Lil Yachty shared two new songs on Friday.

“Slide”—which got the visual treatment, above—and “Solo Steppin Crete Boy” arrive in the wake of Yachty’s acclaimed album Let’s Start Here and the standalone follow-up “ Strike (Holster) .” The first song has production credits by GENT! and Bangs, while the second was produced by Childboy and Max Flames.

Last week, Yachty made an appearance on Bobbi Althoff’s The Really Good Podcast , resulting in a discussion that was fittingly interrupted by previous podcast guest Drake . During the characteristically humorous one-on-one, Yachty said he considers the “ Summer Games ” sequel-denier to be one of his “top three” friends.

While Yachty joked during the interview that Drake has “fucking 50 times more money than me,” he also described the depth of their conversations as being akin to the "center of the Earth.”

Later this year, Yachty is taking Let's Start Here on the road with his recently announced Field Trip Tour . The global trek begins in Washington, D.C. in September before bringing the experience to fans in New York, Philadelphia, Nashville, and more. Just last week, Yachty confirmed the addition of several new dates, including a show in Atlanta that will wrap up the tour's North American leg.

04 AUGUST 2023 (TORONTO, ON) – Lil Yachty has released his latest single “Slide” via (Quality Control Music/Motown Records) alongside an accompanying music video. The new track comes as part of a 3-pack of singles that also includes “SOLO STEPPIN CRETE BOY , ” which Yachty originally performed during his AMP FRESHMAN CYPHER freestyle, along with "Strike (Holster)" . “Slide's” accompanying music video, directed by Atlanta-based cinematographer Ari Mairena-Dannon, shows the QC vocalist displaying full mastery of his craft as he’s rapping alongside his friends across multiple panoramic neighbourhood shots.

Lil Yachty Drops "SLIDE" Music Video Ahead Of "The Field Trip Tour"

Lil Yachty leaped into the new month with two tracks today (Aug. 4). The records were released as a part of a three-song EP, which also included the rapper’s viral sensation “STRIKE (HOLSTER).” 

The new tunes are titled “SOLO STEPPIN CRETE BOY” and “SLIDE.” The latter was accompanied by a newly minted music video that clocks in at just under two and a half minutes.

Crafted by AMD Visuals, the clip oozed with Lil Boat’s affection for green hues. The artist immersed himself in nature while sporting a viridescent ensemble complete with a bulky knit and matching beanie. Elsewhere in the video, he fittingly spent the day in the company of his friends.

Over the GENT! and Bangs-produced track, he rapped, “Yeah, throw out them 20s and 10s, I’m keepin’ them pink and them blue ones. How he a shooter? On God, he know he ain’t shoot none. My stepper cannot go to Canada, he is a nuisance. Wait, what’s they stats? This ain’t facts, them ain’t racks at all. I move around, strong-armin’ like I’m jackin’ off.”

The three-track project served as the sequel to his album released earlier this year, Let’s Start Here . The January release contained collaborations with artists like Fousheé, Justine Skye, Teezo Touchdown, Diana Gordon, and Daniel Caesar.

The “Poland” rapper is set to embark on his headlining “Field Trip Tour” this fall. The musical expedition kicks off in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 21, working its way through cities like Montreal, Boston, and Toronto before closing with a grand finale in Atlanta on Nov. 8.

In addition to dropping his own releases, Yachty also graced other artists’ tracks. In June, he appeared on Rylo Rodriguez’s “Taylor Port Junkie” and Veeze’s “Boat Interlude.” Moreover, the Atlanta native also made a cameo on Drake’s current “It’s All A Blur Tour.”
