Guest Accommodation

ecHo has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

ecHo is built with a composite hull and composite superstructure. Powered by twin diesel Cummins (R800) 715hp engines running at 1400rpm, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 16 knots with a range of up to 4,000 nautical miles from her 15,293 litre fuel tanks at 8 knots. Her low draft of 1.4m/4'7" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. Her water tanks store around 2,998 Litres of fresh water.

Motor Yacht

Echo is a custom motor yacht launched in 1990 by Oceanfast and most recently refitted in 2013.

Oceanfast is a world class Australian super yacht builder, offering its customers exciting designs and specialising in manufacturing excellence with personal service. Oceanfast has produced a fleet of the finest, most distinctive and awarded motor yachts in the world.

Echo measures 40.25 metres in length, with a max draft of 1.50 feet and a beam of 7.90 feet.

Echo has an aluminium hull with an aluminium superstructure.

Bannenberg & Rowell is an award-winning superyacht design studio based in Fulham , the direct descendent of the Jon Bannenberg studio established in the early 1960s.

Echo also features naval architecture by Phil Curran Design.

Performance and Capabilities

Echo has a top speed of 24.70 knots and a cruising speed of 17.10 knots. She is powered by a twin waterjet propulsion system.

Echo has a fuel capacity of 10 litres, and a water capacity of 1,670 litres.

The first model in the new ecHo range, the 85 is a highly capable, long distance yacht that is equally at home in Antibes or the Antarctic. Designed from the hull up for maximum eco-efficiency and exceptional fuel economy, she has a range of over 4,000 nm and is equipped with the latest in resource efficient, low emissions technology.

The vast fly bridge offers huge scope for customization and is the perfect exterior area for hosting your guests. There is plenty of space for freestanding furniture or an optional spa bath, plus spacious boat deck space to store tender, jet ski and water toys.

Spacious interiors provide plenty of relaxation space for up to eight guests plus accommodation for four crew. The high-freeboard hull and patrol-boat style bridge on the ecHo 85 deliberately reflect her offshore capabilities as an Explorer-type yacht, yet the ease of handling and exceptional standard of finish mark her out as a craft for enjoyable, informal cruising, wherever in the world she may be.

40m ECHO // OB Yacht Design

The 40m motor yacht design echo is a creation by ob yacht design.

OB Yacht Design is an international team of young designers and engineers:

ECHO has been developed for an experienced superyacht owner from Italy to use by himself and his family. The 40m three-deck semi-displacement motor yacht has a low profile with a masculine yet elegant exterior design.

The sundeck with fixed bimini contains Jacuzzi, sun loungers, wet bar, and a seating area. Other outdoor seatings are on the main deck aft and the upper deck on the owner’s private terrace. The bow area has a pop-up outdoor cinema.

Powered by a pair of MTU 12V2000 M94 with a total power of 2900 kW at 2450 rpm, ECHO reaches a maximum speed of 17.20 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. The operating range is 3.500 nautical miles.

The tender garage aft transforms into a beach club with a rain shower. Alongside the tender, the yacht carries diving gear, Seabobs, jet skis, and more.

Interior of M/Y ECHO

The interior of the motor yacht ECHO welcomes up to ten guests in five cabins with en-suites. That includes the full-beam owner’s suite on the upper deck with a desk to manage the business, two VIP cabins on the main deck’s forward area. The two guest cabins are on the lower deck, together with the crew quarter for six persons. Furthermore, there is also a gym and a spa. The captain’s cabins have been placed on the upper deck direct to the wheelhouse.

OB Yacht Design comments:

“The owners love of texture is present throughout the interior. The layering of textures and the mix of materials feels timeless with a modern twist, which in turn gives the owner an interior that is simple, sleek and sophisticated”.

The owner enjoys fine wine and cigars, so he requested a separate space with a glass wall and a ventilation system.

“The interior has been designed to connect the outside with the inside. To let natural light flow throughout,” the design team said.

With launch in 2016, the 84m Echo mega yacht is an impressive and outstanding trimaran, built by the Australian shipyard, Echo Yachts. The 84m Echo trimaran motor yacht features naval architecture by One2Three, while her exterior as well as interior design is by Sam Sorgiovanni.

Echo Trimaran Specifications

The 84m all-aluminium yacht by Echo Yachts represents one of the largest tri-hulled super yachts ever constructed anywhere. Her tri-hull configuration allows for an amazing 20-metre beam, which in turn accommodates a generous deck expanse and palatial interior spaces.

The 84m Echo superyacht also boasts a 46-metre fibreglass catamaran, deployed as a support vessel. The catamaran can carry 12 tenders, designed with a range of sporting and exploratory capabilities. A 12-metre tender is equipped with full navigation systems and high tech 3D sonar’s for the exploration of sea beds and sunken wrecks.
