Launched in 2014, luxury motor yacht TRANQUILITY (ex EQUANIMITY, Y709, Project PA164) is an impressive 91.5m/300ft explorer, constructed by the prestigious Dutch builder, Oceanco. With naval architecture by Azure Naval Architects and the yard's in-house team, this superyacht boasts beautiful interior design by renowned Andrew Winch. TRANQUILITY Specifications

Among her special features are the spa and beach club, which is complete with sauna, hammam, experiential showers, plunge pool, and. The spa area leads on to a fully equipped gym and Pilates studio that can be extended through a fold-down platform at sea level, creating an indoor-outdoor wellness area that is unequaled afloat. In addition, there are two Zodiac Fast Rescue Ribs and two 10,5-metre custom Hodgdon tenders, as well as an amazing 20m² swimming pool with jets. The upper deck also boasts a fully certified helipad, in accordance with CAP437 regulations as adapted for the PYC.

Oceanco megayacht TRANQUILITY Y709 (Project PA164) features a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. She is run by twin 4,828hp/3,600kW MTU 20V 4000 M73L engines that enable her to reach a top speed of 20+ knots.

Accommodation is provided for 26 guests in a variety of flexibly configured staterooms — a generous master suite, three VIP cabins, three double cabins and two twin staterooms. There is also accommodation for a friendly and dedicated crew of 28 professionals.

Description

Delivered in 2014 by the prestigious Dutch shipyard Oceanco, the 91.5m (300.2ft) ice-classed TRANQUILITY is a true ocean-going world exploration vessel. Clean, elegant lines are the result of a collaboration between Oceanco and Winch Design and Winch also masterminded the Eastern-inspired interior, which features a variety of exotic materials.

TRANQUILITY has enormous outside living areas and very comfortable indoor guest areas with connections to the outside. Her interior is a masterpiece of both style and texture with Wenge, gold leaf, bamboo, bleached oak and Travatino Veluto marble creating the ultimate in indulgent relaxation. From her magnificent flexible guest accommodation to her various saloons and deck areas, she has an extensive choice of socialising and lounging spaces.

At 2,998 GT, she was built to comply with the Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) and accommodates 18-22 guests in 9-11 suites. Situated on the upper deck, the master suite includes a spacious lounge and study, with a private exterior door leading to a deck area with jacuzzi. A full-beam VIP suite is located on the bridge deck while additional guest suites are located on the main deck, including two VIP cabins, one of which can be converted into two double cabins, and a further two double cabins and two separate twin cabins. The layout can be adapted to suit the owner’s plans so she can sleep up to 22 guests and cruise with up to 36 guests on board during the day.

The yacht’s outside space is equally impressive, offering all the usual facilities of a yacht of this size. The upper deck features a 20 sqm (215 sqft) pool and huge sun lounging area aft on the helipad, certified for an Airbus EC-135 or equivalent. Down on the lower deck the extensive beach club, which is large enough for a bar and lounging area, has direct internal access to a dedicated wellness area that includes a fully equipped gym with a sea terrace, beauty salon, sauna, hammam, plunge pool and experiential showers.

Powered by twin 4,800hp MTU20V4000 M73 diesel engines, TRANQUILITY has a top speed of 18.5 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots and a range of 5,000nm at 14 knots.

Patric and Mary have been running Charter boats for nearly 20 years. There are not many islands in the Caribbean where they havent been either sailing or diving. They are more than happy to share with you the best spots above and below water! They have also explored some “off the beaten track” places like Cuba, Exumas, Galapagos, San Blas Islands, Bahamas or Jamaica. Their goal is to make sure you are having to best holiday on water, one can possibly imagine. While sailing on Tranquility, you can expect a tailor made and relaxed sailing vacation with an experienced and fun Team. Captain Patric Guyaz / Swiss Patric holds a RYA Yacht master Offshore Captains license for over 17 years and has been a PADI Dive Instructor for over 20 years. He has travelled extensively and would probably still be running around the globe if he had not got stuck working for a Summer Camp out of the British Virgin Islands. Teaching teenagers sailing and diving was probably one of the most rewarding and fun things hes ever done. He still enjoys taking youngsters out for a dive or teaching guests how to tack, jibe and pinch on this large luxury Catamaran. Patric sailed mainly up and down the Caribbean but also clocked miles in the Mediterranean, Australia, the English Channel and has captained 3 successful Atlantic crossings. He worked as a dive instructor in Egypt, Maldives, Australia, Honduras, Kenya, Mozambique, South Africa and the BVI and has certified over a thousand students. A Swiss sense of humour, coupled with a professional, open and relaxed manner will make you feel safe and at home the moment you step aboard Tranquility.

Chef Mary Haddow / British Mary was born in the UK and worked in the movie business before giving up the camera for a cooker. Having had the opportunity to travel the world, from Europe to Australia, Africa to India and the USA to the Caribbean she has had the chance to sample many of the world's cuisines. She takes great delight in sharing these flavours with you. She will tailor any menus to suit you and your family's requirements. Quality of produce remains the mainstay of her cooking. Flexible with a lively sense of humour her aim is to make your stay as seamless and comfortable as possible.

Diane Moffitt

Diane Moffitt Born in Northern Ireland, Diane has spent the last 30 years living in many interesting places. Arriving in BVI for a week in 2015, she fell in love with the place and decided to stay a wee while longer, and has been working in the industry since. Growing up on a farm, she has a strong work ethic, and always ready to help you any way she can. With her ‘heavy handed’ pours, she'll fix you a drink any time of the day. When not on the boat, she can be found lambing sheep in Canada, Scotland, England or France and summers driving tractors, all for fun. Diane looks forward to welcoming you on board and getting to know how you like your coffee. She enjoys travelling, hiking, horse riding and yoga and really enjoys learning about other cultures & great food. Ask her about driving the tractor!

Jack Buckler

Hailing from the cold North of England, Jack is the First Mate/Dive Instructor onboard SY Tranquillity. Growing up Jack spent most of his free time playing sport, he played competitive rugby and enjoyed hiking and skateboarding too. He has since spent the last decade travelling around the world working both above the water on boats and below the water as a scuba diver. He has a passion for all things water related, along with the diving he is a keen surfer and wakeboarder - he is always eager to introduce others to the aquatic world! He's prior work has taken him from the desert shores of the Middle East to the icy waters of the Arctic Circle and has now been settled in the beautiful Caribbean islands for five years. During he's time off you can find him cycling or backpacking around some far-flung countries exploring different cultures and landscapes.

Jared Brett

Born in the town of Durban, South Africa, Jared spent much of his youth living the coastal life and working with his father in boat and house renovations. Seeking adventure in 2015 Jared undertook a year of training at Sodwana Bay academy where he achieved his PADI dive instructor certification. Shortly after he scored his first job in the BVI working at a commercial dive shop, learning everything about the island waters, above and below the sea. Three years later Jared gained his RYA Yacht Master certificate. In 2019 he jointly purchased a 51ft sailing Ketch which operates popular daycharter trips in the BVI. Since this time he has worked on Tranquility for two seasons as First Mate and since January 2024 the rotation captain.

Jessica Muller

Chef Jessica-Lynn Muller Sit back, relax and enjoy a unforgettable culinary experience onboard with chef Jess who will be taking care of all your meals so that you are able to get the most out of your vacation. Jess’s attention to detail and skill for creating a unique menu to suit all dietry requirements will keep making you want to come back for more. Her love and passion for all cuisine will not only be tasted in every bite but also stimulate your visual sensory with her beautiful and creative plating skills. Jess has extensive experience as a yacht chef who discovered the world of food in 2015 when she started working onboard luxury yachts up to 80” in the BVI. She has completed multiple chef courses as well as courses specialising in Nutrition, Plant based diet and most recently completed a 12 week chef program at the world renowned Balleymaloe Cooking School in Ireland. Tranquility achieves a top speed of 18 knots and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. She is fitted with zero speed stabilizers which increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor. Built to Ice class and PYC compliant, Tranquility is truly exceptional in her capabilities. An ocean-crossing world explorer, this iconic superyacht boasts a vast 20 square meter swimming pool.

Motor Yacht TRANQUILITY – Interior

Tranquility’s interior was designed by Andrew Winch. The décor has a subtle, oriental influence with marble and bleached oak.  In the upper saloon, a fully operational, Perspex-cased piano is a spectacular show piece. There is a luxuriously comfortable lounge area as well, as a formal dining room for 12.

Guest facilities include a spectacular aft beach club. There is a fully-equipped gym boasting a large balcony on the starboard side. An indulgent spa suite – complete with a sauna, Hammam, experiential showers, plunge pool, and a massage/treatment room is also on board for the guests’ enjoyment.

The master suite itself benefits from a private owner’s study and an exceptionally large bathroom with a free-standing bathtub. The master suite is forward, and its elevated position delivers incredible views. The yacht’s interior configuration allows for 9 more guest cabins, with the two VIP suites (located on the main deck) benefitting from private balconies with accommodation for up to 22 guests .   The Master Stateroom office can convert to a double stateroom. Additionally, Tranquility offers separate crew quarters for up to 29 crew members ensuring an excellent crew to guest ratio for the highest standards of service.  The VIP stateroom located on the bridge deck is full beam and boasts a spectacular 180 degree panorama by using  floor to ceiling windows.

Tranquility is a custom motor yacht launched in 2014 by Oceanco in Alblasserdam, Netherlands.

Founded in 1987, Oceanco is a shipyard that strives to do things differently, building custom superyachts that each stand out as iconic additions to the world superyacht fleet. With a tenth of the Top 100 largest vessels being Oceanco-builds, the Dutch yard has positioned itself as a brand driven by innovation, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to achieving the impossible.

Tranquility measures 91.50 feet in length and has a beam of 14.60 feet.

Tranquility has a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure.

Her interior design is by Winch Design.

Winch Design is an award-winning design studio, established in 1986 as a specialist exterior and interior yacht designer, by Andrew Winch and his wife Jane.

Tranquility also features naval architecture by Azure Naval Architects.

Powered by twin MTU engines, she comfortably cruises at 22 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 25 knots. With a shallow draft of 1.52m/5' Tranquility can anchor closer to coves and sheltered bays overnight. Tranquility features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels.

Tranquility knows a thing or two about fun on the water, with a selection of water toys and accessories for you and your guests to enjoy whilst on charter. Scuba diving for certified divers is included. Resort courses are typically charged 150 USD with extra dives for Resort divers at 75 USD/diver/dive. Open Water Referral Certification is available at 350 USD.

Charter catamaran TRANQUILITY is available for winter and summer season in the Caribbean. Rates are in USD and all-inclusive Caribbean charter terms. Please note that New Years and Christmas charters for up to 12 guests are charged at higher rates from 65.000 USD - 75.000 USD depending on dates and charter duration. 

TRANQUILITY luxury catamaran for charter features a huge aft platform between the hulls that will raise and lower the dinghy, but can also do the same for 10 divers, or allow a group to use it as a resort shelf for sitting in 6" of water in chairs, sort of being an extended private beach! It will be similar to a "resort shelf" on a pool.

“The NAVIX50 embodies our philosophy of creating vessels that excel in any environment,” Leapher CEO Yiannis Andriotis said in a statement. “From the Drake Passage to the coast of St. Tropez, this yacht redefines what’s possible in the sub-500GT category.”

The spacious interior includes six generous cabins, with the option for a seventh cabin or expanded skylounge. The guest cabin on the main deck can also be turned into a gym, wellness area, or an expanded owner’s suite. All guest cabins are equipped with king-size beds, while the owner’s suite is fitted with a plush super king-size bed. The yacht is also home to six crew cabins that can sleep up to 11.

The exterior decks are replete with alfresco dining areas, lounges, and sunbeds. The aft deck is arguably the standout, with two folding terraces, a large, 18-foot pool, a sprawling sunbathing area, a swim platform, and not one but two wet bars. At the opposite end, the foredeck doubles as a garage for two tenders.

“It [the NAVIX50] offers unparalleled versatility and luxury while maintaining an attractive value proposition for seasoned owners,” added Andriotis.

Leapher operates on a site formerly owned by cruise ship producer De Hoop that closed at the height of the pandemic. The yard is set to deliver the first NAVIX60 later this month. Christened Horizon, the 198-foot explorer will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show from September 25 to 28.

Leapher Yachts unveils new "compact but capable" explorer model NAVIX50

Dutch shipyard Leapher Yachts has unveiled a new 49.2-metre explorer yacht model known as the NAVIX50.

The model builds on its predecessor, the NAVIX60, offering a more compact "yet equally capable platform". The shipyard has collaborated with Italian studio AB Yacht Design on the model, which is characterised by geometric glazing and deck overhangs, a high bow and a sheltered foredeck.

"The NAVIX50 embodies our philosophy of creating vessels that excel in any environment," said Yiannis Andriotis ​​​​ , CEO of Leapher Yachts. "From the Drake Passage to the coast of St. Tropez, this yacht redefines what's possible in the sub-500GT category."

Accommodation is across six cabins, with options for a seventh cabin or an expanded skylounge. The main deck cabin can also be converted into a gym, wellness area, or used as an extension of the owner's cabin.

Leisure highlights include the aft deck, arranged with a 5.5-metre heated pool with a contra-flow system, a sunbathing area and two wet bars. The model is also capable of housing an 8.6-metre and 4.5-metre tender and is designed with a wheelchair-accessible lift.

The NAVIX50 would be equipped with Tier III emission controls, biodegradable antifouling and an optional Ice Class certification. Full specifications are yet to be released but it is projected to reach an impressive range of 5,500 nautical miles at 10 knots.

This follows a construction update on the shipyard's 60.5-metre explorer Horizon . Delivery is scheduled for September 2025 when she plans on making her international debut at the Monaco Yacht Show .
