Just like any relationship, it took a while for Mr. Right to walk into your life, things started slowly, you took your time, careful to not look like a hussy, but then something wonderful happened, you fell in love. Mr. Right made the good times seem great, and the bad time seem bearable; he was there when you succeeded and when you stumbled, and just like that, he's gone, leaving your bitter soul crumbled in his wake.

You're stunned, you pour over the minutiae of you relationship, examining every goodbye, every kiss and every note; did they ever really love you? How could someone who purported to love you show such little regard for your feelings? How can someone so caring suddenly become so callous?

Whether you admit it or not, at some point or another, our feelings have all been trifled with by a Mr. or Mrs. Right, but what do you do, how do you move on? Well, you know what they say, the quickest way to get over someone is to get under someone else. And for Roma, that someone else is apparently CSKA Moscow striker, Seydou Doumbia.

Football Italia, via Gianluca Di Marzio, is reporting that Roma are moments away from securing Mattia Destro's replacement, in the form of the 27-year-old Ivorian striker, to the tune of €15m, a figure which will be meted out over the next three years. If the latest reports prove true, then this is a straight sale, not the Sabatini du jour, loan-with-an-option-to-buy.

Doumbia stands six feet tall and checks in at svelte 162 lbs. Doumbia has been playing his trade in the Russian capital since making the move from Swiss outfit BSC Young Boys. Since moving to the Russian Premier League, Doumbia has been a standout, scoring 61 goals in 95 appearances in all competitions, with 10 of those coming this season. Doumbia had 19 goals and seven assists in domestic and European play last season, so he certainly knows his way to the back of the net.

The problem with Doumbia, as many of you right pointed out on the last thread, has been his recent spate of injuries, a factor made worse by his AFCON duties, but in the wake of Destro's departure, Roma needed immediate help up top. Given his goal scoring record, athleticism, and ability to counter attack, Doumbia should slide seamlessly into Rudi Garcia's attacking setup.

He's not Stevan Jovetic, but he's not Alberto Gilardino either, so given the circumstances (Luiz Adriano apparently didn't want to consider Rome) and Roma's financial reality, this was probably the best we could've hoped for. Besides, when coupled with his countryman, Gervinho, and Juan Iturbe , Roma suddenly has an extremely quick, agile and athletic frontline.
