Pitman Yacht Services offers haul out services for boats up to 75 foot, dry dock, bottom paint, wax & detail, repair running gear, blister repair, all mechanical needs, fiberglass repair, bow & stern thruster installation and repair, dripless shaft logs installation, gas & diesel maintenance, tank replacement, plumbing, underwater lights, wood shop and so much more… We are located in beautiful Tarpon Springs Florida, directly across from the historic Sponge Docks.

• 5 We had a 31' boat truck hauled from Massachusetts to Pitman Yacht Services. They lifted the boat from the trailer and assisted us with assembling the superstructure and assorted items. and then launched us with no problems. November 07, 2019 | Ed | Visited, over a year WE have had our previous boats hauled and power washed,bottom painted and waxed at Pitmans. They have done repairs including thru hull replacements. • 1 Bottom paint and bellows replace March 09, 2018 | Janet | Visited, over a year Just had an incredibly bad experience with Pitman Yacht service in Tarpon. They performed maintenance on our boat. As a result of their maintenance, the starter shorted and all power went out on the trip from Pitman to our dock (thank goodness the wind was aft and we had a sail) and a hose had been dislodged causing the boat to leak water. As the boat was leaking we called and they said they didn't have dock space. Then we wrote a very nice, logical letter explaining the problems they caused. In response to the letter, they called and cussed and yelled at us. Not at all the response I would expect from any reputable business. In fact, I was shocked and really couldn't believe their response. I'm still in shock. Why did they even bother to call, other than they must be having an incredibly bad day and needed to blow off steam. Not a way to treat any client. I'll certainly never use their services again nor recommend them again to other boaters. Just had an incredibly bad experience with Pitman Yacht service in Tarpon. Mobile 100 Hour Service

Mobile service – 100 hour service.

It doesn’t get more convenient than our Mobile Service. We come to your location at your convenience to provide the importan 100 service requirements of your boat.

• Anode: Check and replace if needed
• Battery: Check connections, charge and water levels
• Cables: Check for operation
• Carburetors: Synchronize and adjust idle and mixture
• Cylinder Heads: Torque bolts as necessary
• Electrical System: Check for operation
• Engine Compression: Performed on older model two-strokes, unless otherwise requested
• Engine Fittings: Clean and lubricated
• Engine: Clean and spray with lube
• Fuel Filters: Replace
• Fuel Lines: Check for leakage, splitting or rotting
• Fuel/Water Separator: Replace
• Gauges: Check for proper operation
• Hours on Motor. Record on service ticket
• Ignition Timing: Check and set, if necessary
• Lower Unit: Inspect and change lubricant\
• Oil: Change oil and replace filter
• Propeller: Remove, clean and lube shaft
• Service Indicator/ Alarm and reset
• Spark Plugs: Replace

Mobile Boat Repair and Maintenance

Allen’s customized repair vehicles enable him to bring his 25 years of experience to your boat. Allen will complete all repairs that can be done at your dock or help make arrangements to bring your boat to our boatyard facility if a haul-out is required.

Bottom Painting

Whether you have just purchased a new boat or are trying to revamp your old one a good bottom paint job is always a solid investment. Bottom painting not only makes your boat look it's best, but it also helps keep barnacles from attaching to it.
