Beginning in 1997, Leopard has produced over 21 power and sailing catamaran models. With sizes to fit any need or budget, their sailing catamaran line ranges from a compact 38-footers to a luxurious 62-footer.

Leopard Catamarans of South Africa was founded by builders John Robertson and Jerry Caine in 2000– a partnership that has been sustained since 1991. At the time, their catamarans were designed and built primarily for charter companies Sunsail and The Moorings. With over 1,500 vessels catamarans built, Leopard has established itself a leader in the production catamaran market both for private and charter use.

Leopard 44 (Atlantic)

S/V Nomad is a 2015 Leopard 44 catamaran, for sale by owner. She is a 4-Cabin with the light interior. This was a Belize charter, so this is not a hurricane damaged boat. She is on the hard at Zimmerman Marine in Matthew, VA. She has brand new Yanmar 39 HP engines with zero hours.

Nomad features upgraded electronics, as well as an upgraded dinghy winch and Mantus anchor. In 2023, she also got new Insinglass in the cockpit, as well new running rigging.

The Leopard 44 features two cockpits, one fore and one aft with outside dining area protected by a functional hard-top bimini. Sailing the Leopard 44 is easy: both main and jib sheets lead to stoppers and self-tailing (electric) winches directly adjacent to the helm. The galley-up has ample storage and a huge drawer type fridge and freezer. No steps up or down anywhere on the salon level.

Leopard 40 (Puerto Rico)

S/V Ooga Chaka is a 2005 Leopard 40 Catamaran, for sale by owner. IT’S ELECTRIC! We are excited to present Ooga Chaka! An all electric catamaran!

We are currently living on Ooga Chaka in the Caribbean and will continue to do so until the day she sells. During Ooga Chaka’s electric conversion we re-wired the entire boat (2021) and upgraded ALL electrical systems (2021)….nav, fridge, pumps, induction stove…everything!

Ooga Chaka is an older boat and has some cosmetic considerations but her foundation is strong with new standing rigging (2021) and new sails (2023)…she is ready for adventure and to provide a comfortable home for your life on the water. She is a 4 cabin 2 head layout with brand new macerating toilets, holding tanks and pipes (2024). We love the 4 cabin layout allowing space for the entire family.

S/V Traveller is a 2014 Leopard 44 owners version sailing catamaran, for sale by owner. Privately owned, never chartered. She is lightly used as we bought her in 2019 in pristine condition and continue to maintain her in excellent condition.

Much of the work during our stewardship was preventive maintenance. We live on her for six months each year and she lays up each summer in Georgia and/or South Carolina. We have sailed most of Florida and the Bahamas, and yet she has still been a dock-princess for well over 90% of our ownership.

While docked for the summers, owner was onboard every 6-8 weeks to consistently exercise all systems to keep everything in top notch operating condition. She looks and operates like a boat half her age. Lots of recent upgrades to prepare her sale.

Leopard 45/47 (Caribbean)

S/V Althea is a newly redone 2000 Leopard 45/47 catamaran, for sale by owner. Althea has had her sugar scoops extended by 2 feet to a total of 47 feet to enhance her performance in 2023.

The classic Leopard 45, also known as the Moorings 4500, was designed by Simonis Voogd and built by Robertson & Caine in South Africa. When it was introduced in 1997, the Leopard 45 was selected by Cruising World Magazine as “Charter Boat of the Year” and quickly built an outstanding reputation in the Moorings and Sunsail charter fleets. These catamarans set the standard for comfort, ease of sailing and performance when they were introduced.

The layout allows easy movement about the boat from the spacious aft deck, a step down to the swimming platform, or relaxing on the foredeck trampoline. The innovative deck layout brings a host of features to make life and sailing simplicity itself. From the aft deck arch that puts the mainsail sheeting system out of harm’s way, to the ingenious anchoring system, sailing the Leopard 45 is a breeze. The Leopard 45 has robust shaft drives and skeg protected rudders making it well suited to cruising in remote areas.

Leopard 46 (Caribbean)

S/V Paw Paw is a 2011 Leopard 46 catamaran, for sale by owner. Designed by architects, Melvin and Morrelli, and built by Robertson and Caine, this outstanding, single owner 2011 Leopard 46 is a world class blue water cruising catamaran that combines a stylish, comfortable and spacious living accommodation, high quality construction and great performance.

This yacht comes fully equipped with twin YANMAR 54HP engines, RAYMARINE electronics, NORTHERN LIGHTS generator, wind and solar power, 600Ah lithium house battery bank, SPECTRA 12 Volt water maker, VICTRON 2 kW inverter / charger and air conditioning, to mention just a few of her features.

Whilst this yacht has been immaculately maintained, it also features numerous upgrades and enhancements undertaken over the years, including new standing rigging in May of 2023.

Leopard 46 (Bahamas)

S/V New World is a 2009 Leopard 46 catamaran, for sale by owner.

Launched in 2009, New World has been consistently lived on full time by a family of 4 since early 2020. She has sailed between the Chesapeake Bay on USA east coast and Grenada in the southern Caribbean while visiting all the islands in between. She has been updated and maintained to safely transport her family while having all the comforts including 2600 watts of solar with 1200 ah of lithium, Starlink, watermaker, washing machine, feathering props, downwind sail, and plenty of spare parts (including spare saildrive).

New World is a 4 cabin/4 head version. She has a double full enclosure to have a screen and/or clear isinglass. Dometic freezer, all Victron electrical system including 3000 watt Multiplus inverter, Cerbo with touchscreen, and even water tank sensors are just some of the upgrades that allow you to monitor your boat systems from the touch of your phone or computer. So much storage with all beds having external facing under-bed storage as well as under-bed deep storage areas.

Leopard 47 (Florida)

S/V Smoke and Roses is a 2005 Leopard 47 catamaran for sale by owner, located in Port Charlotte, Florida. The Leopard 47 is built with thicker hulls for durability and has the reliable shaft drives. Smoke And Roses features redundancy with power and refrigeration. Built by Robertson and Caine this sleek looking catamaran was designed for speed, agility and reliable blue-water performance. 

This yacht is docked at our residence, we use, maintain and upgrade her regularly. She is very clean, shows well and must be seen to appreciate. Delivery to the East Coast of US, most of the Caribbean or Gulf Coast as far as Texas, is available. Temporary dockage may be available. September 2022 survey provided upon request. As the original owners, we have enjoyed over 50,000 cruising miles, including a circumnavigation. Continuous upgrades have been completed, to ensure safety, ease of single handing and cruising comfort.

Smoke And Roses features led lighting and beech wood finishes throughout. Upon entering the salon you will be greeted with panoramic views and 6’7” of headroom as well as seating for 8. The galley is equipped with Corian work surfaces and standard appliances. Below deck Smoke and Roses has four spacious, queen size, air conditioned private staterooms with en suite heads and showers. Leopard 45 (Caribbean)

S/V Smile Maker is a 2017 Leopard 45 catamaran, for sale by owner. Smile Maker comes with 4 Queen Beds and 1 Single Bed and 5 Bathrooms, with GenSet and AirCon.

The yacht is profitable under Management/Charter contract in the BVI to June ’24 with multi-year extension option. Contract includes parts & labor at cost, and discounted dockage. Leopard is known for the “front door”, allowing the foredeck to be accessed through the salon. Opening the front door and sliding the rear windows open. allows the ocean breezes to flow generously when the reverse cycle dual air conditioners aren’t needed. In Russia, the western concept of building architecturally beautiful golf courses filled with modern and luxurious amenities has found fertile ground. What was considered a frivolous pastime during the time of the Soviets has become the latest trend for the stylish set. These days, there are countless options around Moscow to practice golf, polo, ski, yachting, and other sports alongside 5-star hotels, luxurious country houses, and magnificent villas.

The game of golf is a sport that requires passion and expertise. It is also part of a culture that considers this pastime a synonym of social prestige and exclusivity. In recent years, the new Russian elite has turned to golf as a vehicle of integration in the era of globalization. Golf courses are also meeting and socializing spaces where Muscovite tycoons can relax and also seal business deals.

Golf Courses in Russia

The Moscow Country Club, Pestovo Golf & Yacht Club, Tseleevo Golf & Polo Club, and Zavidovo Golf Club, PGA National Russia are some of the most exclusive and elegant golf courses in Russia. Some of them have made it to the list of Top 15 golf clubs in the world, a source of great prestige for the country.

The first 18-hole golf course built in Russia, Moscow Country Club, hosts the exclusive PGA European Tour. Located just eight miles from the city center, this luxurious facility was created by architect Robert Trent Jones Jr . The design takes advantage of a typical Russian birch and spruce forest to provide a natural environment of extraordinary beauty.

The Pestovo Golf & Yacht Club is 18 miles from the heart of Moscow, close to historical monuments from the 17th and 18th centuries. Designed by famed architects Paul and Dave Thomas , this 18-hole course is part of a complex that includes a yacht club, an equestrian center, and a health and wellness facility. Pestovo Golf & Yacht Club is Russia’s version of a classic country club with multiple attractions.

Tseleevo Golf & Polo Club Tseleevo Golf & Polo Club

This park is among the best in Eastern Europe and was awarded the 2014 World Golf Award as the best golf course in Russia. Located 25 miles from Moscow, it is part of a vast complex featuring an 18-hole golf course, designed by Jack Nicklaus , a polo club and a mountain ski club with four tracks. The design combines classic Scottish, Alpine, and English features in a dreamy landscape.

Less than 60 miles from Moscow, this golf course with a definite Scottish design is the only one in Russia recognized as a PGA (Professional Golfers’ Association) from Britain and Ireland. Located in an ecologically pristine area on the banks of the Volga River, the Zavidovo Golf Club embodies the spirit and appearance of the legendary Scottish golf courses. Its many springs and streams, hills, forests, swamps and lakes justify its reputation as a very demanding circuit. Last year, it entered the exclusive club of the 15 best golf courses in the world.   ■

“Breakfast & Lunch among friends”

The Breakfast Club has been a locally-owned Moscow breakfast staple for 12 years. The food is delicious, and the portions are appropriate (not gigantic). They have stuffed biscuits and gravy which is biscuits cut in half with eggs and bacon in the middle, covered in in-house made sausage gravy. If you are ever in Moscow in the wee hours of the morning, this is the place to stop!!!

The Breakfast Club has been a locally-owned Moscow breakfast staple for 12 years. The food is delicious, and the portions are appropriate (not gigantic). They have stuffed biscuits and gravy which is biscuits cut in half with eggs and bacon in the middle, covered in in-house made sausage gravy. If you are ever in Moscow in the wee hours of the morning, this is the place to stop!!!
