The range of yachts on offer has expanded over the years. The first yacht to splash the water back in 1980 was the Rustler 36. The full fleet ranges from a glamorous 24ft daysailer – all the way up to the magnificent Rustler 57.

Rustler Yachts are all built to an incredibly high standard which are far above the industry norm. The designs of all the yachts puts comfort and safety at sea at the forefront, meaning these yachts are built for real life cruising and life on-board. Inspired by some of the classic designs from the last century, the Rustler 24 offers the day boat sector a new dimension by combining traditional long keel sea-keeping and handling qualities, with the practicality of modern materials and systems.

The Rustler 33 is beautiful. Designed to be really easy to live with, simple to sail, and offering cosy accommodation for a weekend away; she is the perfect antidote to yachts whose designers have forgotten what pleasure there is to be had in simple aesthetic beauty.

Designed as a smaller sistership to the renowned and well respected Rustler 42 - the Rustler 37 is a pretty yacht, offering double cabins fore and aft, and a spacious saloon. There is plenty of storage for extended cruising, and large navigation and galley areas.

The Rustler 36 is the perfect combination of old-style craftsmanship married to modern sailing design, Her interior joinery is of the highest quality throughout. She is extremely well built and has an encapsulated long keel with lead ballast giving her the ability to undertake long passages with confidence, comfort and safety regardless of the weather and sea conditions. Her elegant design and quality is second to none in her class. 'Galliard' has been very well looked after since new and particularly by her present owners who have installed a new engine in 2020 and a bow thruster in 2023.  For cruising comfort, she has, shore power, Hot air heating,  pressurized hot and cold water fridge and shower all of which will keep the most demanding crew happy. She is easily sailed short-handed, with all the lines led aft to the cockpit, a new roller furler, a new tiller pilot with spare and very importantly a new Bow thruster which makes manoeuvring in the tightest of spaces extremely easy. Galliad has been recently anti-fouled and is ready to go on new adventures. She can be viewed 7 days a week afloat in Lymington. The Rustler 36 will sleep up  7.  The forward cabin is a v berth with an in-fill to make a double, there is a hatch for light and clothes storage. The aft quarter berth  is a small double and the port saloon berth makes into a double with the starboard berth as a single. The galley has a sink, fridge, sea water pump, dry storage and hot water in the twin stainless steel sinks . The heads has a refurbished sea toilet,with a holding tank, shower head and vanity unit.

It was an absolute joy to meet the owner of this Rustler 36 on the yacht, purchased by current (second owner) in 2001 she boasts a wonderfully rich wood interior and there has been nothing not meticulously cared for and so many practical touches added to the running of this boat she is a fine example. Rustler's are a well-proven stable seaworthy yacht and her heavy weather characteristics are why many are easily sailed by couples who find the handling ideal for short-handed sailing. See recently taken underwater profile pictures - all anti fouled 2015.

Note of interest: Golden Globe Race - To mark the 50 anniversary of the 1968/9 Sunday Times Golden Globe Race won by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston in “Suhaili”, a new Golden Globe race will set sail from Falmouth on 14 June 2018. Competitors must sail in production boast between 32 -36ft designed before 1988 with full keel and hung rudders. A prize of £75,000 has been allocated for the 2018 race. The Rustler 36, with their renown world cruising reputation, would be an ideal boat. The following 3 years would allow the new owner to work the boat up for the voyage.
