A boat with a BN of 1.6 or greater is a boat that will be reefed often in offshore cruising. Derek Harvey, "Multihulls for Cruising and Racing", International Marine, Camden, Maine, 1991, states that a BN of 1 is generally accepted as the dividing line between so-called slow and fast multihulls.

The Hunter 376 is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass. It has a fractional sloop B&R rig, a raked stem, a walk-through reverse transom, an internally mounted spade-type rudder controlled by a wheel and a fixed wing keel or fin keel. It displaces 15,000 lb (6,804 kg) and carries 5,400 lb (2,449 kg) of lead ballast.

30. Hunter 1997 376 Ventura, CA. Dec 1, 2013. #2. Sue. I have a 376 for 5 years and love it. We went from a 1985 31ft and moved up to the 376, very good move but get a survey the keels had an issue. But hunter repaired all the boats that put in for the recall. The only problem is the aft berth mattress needs replacing.
