“Our brief was for something a little bit outside the box, and when we talk outside the box, that means not putting beige on beige—a lot of yachts play very safe by just being white and beige with a little bit of wood for accent, but SilverYachts wanted to spice it up a bit,” Tillberg’s partner and yacht director Daniel Nerhagen said in a statement. “So we went for some really strong and vibrant colors to stand out from the crowd and to offer something a little bit different.”

The studio carefully selected the accent colors so that they would stand out in the areas where the cat is set to cruise. (As the Caribbean and Mediterranean are rich in sunlight, the colors needed to be much bolder.) Cleverly, the brighter hues are reserved for furniture, artwork, and so on, which means pieces can be swapped out if they’re too loud for the owner. Speaking of the furniture, Nerhagen says that some of Øino’s shapes from the exterior are reflected in the interior. The dining table and chairs, for instance, mirror the exterior lines. Using the same design language indoors and out helps to connect all the decks.

The open-plan interior includes accommodation for up to 10 guests, as well as a sprawling main salon with wraparound windows, a formal dining space, and a lounge. The exterior decks, meanwhile, are home to multiple alfresco dining areas, plush lounges, and a fire pit.

Silver Yachts Appoints Denison Yachting to Be Its Dealer in the Americas and the Caribbean for the New SilverCat Product Line

Denison is pleased to announce its partnership with Silver Yachts as its dealer for the SilverCat product line in the Americas and the Caribbean.

Silver Yachts is a builder of custom, high-performance aluminum vessels, working with the internationally renowned naval architect and designer Espen Øino as a strategic partner. The shipyard and design house was established in 2001 by Guido Krass as a superyacht producer which has grown to enjoy an international reputation for excellence in its field. 

In 2018, Silver Yachts opened the China facility with the creation of a sister company Silver Yachts  (Jiangmen) Co., Ltd. The facility is in the Jiangmen, Guangdong province. The shipyard is designed with the capability to construct multiple vessels and the ability to produce vessels over 100 meters in length. The purpose of this facility is three-fold: to support the Silver Yachts facility in Perth, Western Australia with structures, components, and stronger supply chain access, to construct luxury vessels and expand the product range in this market, and to expand into new commercial markets.

Silver Yachts operates out of the world-class Australian Marine Complex (AMC) hub in Fremantle, Western Australia. An impressive team of over 150 progressive and highly qualified professionals works in unison on yacht projects, with every step of the production process housed under one roof. Built in 2005, Silver Yachts’ state-of-the-art shipyard facilities cover over 6,000 square meters and are home to two building halls, a fit-out hall, an interiors division, design offices, and workshop spaces.

Superyacht BOLD, built by Silver Yachts in 2019, has set new benchmarks in world cruising and exploring. BOLD is the fastest explorer yacht on the market, making her 21-day maiden voyage across the Indian Ocean covering 8,000 nautical miles from Perth in Western Australia to Cala di Volpe in Italy with only a single fuel stop. BOLD will be on display at the 2022 Palm Beach Boat Show, where there will be a model of the new SilverCat catamaran by Silver Yachts onboard. Hull #1 of the SilverCat, which has already been sold, will be launching in the Spring of 2022. The SilverCat is available in a 36-meter, 24-meter, and 22-meter model; all models are already available to order and are also available for co-brokerage.

Rod Davies, Chief Operating Officer of the Silver Yachts Jiangmen shipyard, has over 35 years of experience in the shipbuilding and luxury yacht industries. “We are very excited about the SilverCat range of luxury catamarans, with the first SC36m H801 nearing completion; it is clear the style and space the yacht offers are second to none,” Rod Davies said. “We are also pleased to announce our partnership with Denison as our dealer for the Americas and the Caribbean. Denison’s reputation, history, and capabilities are leading the industry and a perfect fit for our product line, which we look forward to a successful journey bringing this product to market.”

Tony Smith , a licensed and bonded Denison yacht broker who focuses on luxury catamarans, motor yachts, and superyachts, is Denison Brand Manager for Silver Yachts and specializes in the SilverCat luxury power catamarans. “We see very high demand in the Americas and the Caribbean for luxury catamarans in the 22- to 36-meter range,” Tony Smith disclosed. “Denison is confident in the high quality and manufacturing ability of Silver Yachts, having first-hand experience on their larger superyachts. We’re thrilled to bring the SilverCat to market as the new Mega-Cat with design innovations by world-renowned designer Espen Øino.”

Australian shipyard  SilverYachts has sold its 85m/278.10ft luxury expedition mega yacht GLOBALFAST ahead of her delivery scheduled for later in 2022.

E/Y GLOBALFAST has an exterior profile penned by Espen Oeino and is one of the most anticipated yachts of 2022, featuring an iconic military appearance, geometric windows on the main deck and full-height windows on the Owner’s deck, creating bands of black contrast within the pristine white hull and superstructure. Sistership explorer yacht BOLD was launched in 2019 and GLOBALFAST benefits from enhancements and improvements to the design, as well as the implementation of the latest technology.

Outdoor features include an abundance of space on the main deck aft for the storage of tenders and larger water toys, a certified helipad if desired, and fold-down bulwarks to create terraces over the water. The Owner’s deck has an alfresco dining area, outdoor lounge and bar, while the sundeck boasts a Jacuzzi, plenty of sunbeds and a shaded dining and lounging area.

The Owner has a private apartment using the full 11m/36ft beam on the Owner’s deck complete with a winter garden furnished with a lounge and dining area, and there is a dedicated Owner’s area on the lower deck. The accommodation sleeps up to 18 guests across 7 en-suite cabins, the majority located on the main deck.

Twin MTU engines provide a top speed of 23 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles at an above-average cruising speed of 18 knots.

Timmerman Yachts is a Russian builder of quality luxury motor yachts. Based in Moscow, it is owned by a group of Dutch and Russian investors and operates out of Moscow Shipyard. Several noted naval architecture and yacht design firms are involved with Timmerman, including Vripack, Guido de Groot Design, Ginton Naval Architects, Jon Bannenberg Ltd., and Francis Design Ltd.

Founded in 2003, the company was named for 17th century Dutch boat builder Franz Timmerman who brought Dutch boat manufacturing techniques to Russia and co-founded the Russian navy. Timmerman Yachts has more than 1,000 employees working at the Moscow Shipyard.

Timmerman has delivered a number of semi-custom luxury yachts between 26-47 metres in length, including TM26 and Timmerman FD-51, designed by Francis Design Ltd. Other notable Timmerman yachts include Victoria M, Alexandra (now Latitude) and Olsten 125′.

One of the 10 largest yacht builders in the world, Timmerman is focused on building high-quality luxury yachts at more competitive prices. Its Russian-Dutch partnership provides great yacht-building capabilities. Timmerman builds yacht to the highest standards and holds DNV, MCA and Russian River Register certification. The company reportedly has more than a dozen yachts in some phase of construction.
