Below Deck Med super yacht Home

On the season premiere of Below Deck: Mediterranean Season 7, viewers are introduced to the crew that will be hosting the next few months of high seas drama on Bravo. It would be difficult to single out the sexiest new cast member this season, but it may just be the super-fine 50 meters of hybrid yacht hotness that is the M/Y Home!

The elegant Heesen superyacht was built in 2017 and was the Dutch shipbuilder’s first to be equipped with hybrid propulsion. “In this case ‘Hybrid’ means that the yacht can draw on two sources of power for propulsion: diesel mechanical and diesel electrical,” Heesen explains in their promotional brochure for Home . “Either or both sources can be used at the same time. This provides less noise and vibration, a more flexible power management which means better efficiency.”

Home measures 49.8 meters (163 feet, 4 inches) and has an overall beam of 9.1 meters (29 feet, 10 inches). It’s lightweight aluminum hull helps Home achieve a gross tonnage just under 500. Its max speed with a half load is 16.3 knots with diesel direct and 9 knots with diesel electric.

Moving on to the stats that are more relevant to casual Below Deck viewers, Home has accommodations for 9 crew members and 12 guests. There is a full-beam owner’s stateroom for Captain Sandy, one full-beam VIP guest suite, two double guest suites, and two twin guest suites.

Superyacht Home floor plan

I’m an avid Below Deck fan and I don’t feel like I ever have a very clear understanding of the layout on the boats featured on the various shows. To help myself (and other fans) during Below Deck Med Season 7, I’ve put together a map of the layout of M/Y Home that should help you imagine the 3D landscape in which all of the drama plays out.

I’ve color coded the different levels, starting with the sun deck (green) at the top and working down through the wheelhouse (pink), main deck (yellow) and lower deck (grey).

Below Deck Med Yacht HOME floor plan layout map

Here are individual images for the lower three levels arranged vertically for easier viewing on mobile devices:

Super yacht Home layout

You will notice that the crew resides in the lower deck at the front (bow) of the boat. There are four small cabins, four bathrooms, and eight twin bunk beds. The crew mess is right next to the cabins in the lower deck.

The captain’s quarters is located on the wheelhouse level and has a door that opens directly into the bridge.

The charter guest master suite is located on the main deck. I was surprised to see that the Home’s galley (kitchen) is right on the other side of the wall from the master suite bathroom.

One question I have after checking out the Home layout is where the engineer(s) sleeps? Also, I thought production takes a room to set up their equipment? The chef, three stews, and four deck crew members take up all eight crew bunks, right? If I figure out answers to these questions I will update this post for clarification.

EXCLUSIVE: Tour the All-New Luxury Yacht From 'Below Deck'

below deck yacht tour

The Bravo hit returns Sept. 6 at 9 p.m. ET.

Below Deck is back -- with a brand new boat!

The Bravo hit returns for season four on Tuesday night, and only ET has an exclusive tour of the show’s new luxury yacht, Valor , hosted by chief stew -- and breakout star -- Kate Chastain.

WATCH: Andy Cohen Says Real Housewives All Stars Could Be a Below Deck Crossover

First, Kate takes us to through the ship’s newly remodeled state rooms. The ultra-modern design offers a peaceful getaway for guests, but the real star (according to Kate) is the high-tech master bathroom. Yes, there’s a toilet that washes your bum, which Kate dubs “R2-Poo-2.” For contrast, Kate also takes us to the, uh... less impressive crew quarters.

Next, we head to the galley -- aka the kitchen. Chef Ben Robinson assists Kate with this part of the tour, before she heads upstairs to the sky lounge. “I feel like this is the best room for the guests,” Kate says of the expansive living space, which features two oversized couches and a big screen TV. It’s not an ideal place for Captain Lee Rosbach, though. He can hear everything that goes down in the sky lounge in his quarters!

MORE: Below Deck Mediterranean Brings the Drama

Finally, Kate and deckhand Nico Scholly take us up to “the sexiest spot” on the ship: the decks. This is all the outdoor space the charter guests have access to -- the perfect place to take in all the scenic views of the British Virgin Islands.

Below Deck premieres Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. ET recently went live with three of the cast members on Facebook -- chef Ben, bosun Kelley Johnson and deckhand Lauren Burchell. Check out the interview below.

VIDEO: Take A Tour Of Below Deck Season 4 Yacht VALOR

By Oliver Pearson   14 September 2016

Premiering on 6th September, Below Deck Season 4 got off to a predictably stellar start, with fans voicing their excitement across all forms of social media. To prepare for the next episode, we take a guided tour of the starring superyacht VALOR.

Whilst official viewing figures are yet to be released for the premiere of Below Deck Season 4, season 3 amassed an incredible 1.6 million to become the highest-rated season premiere on Bravo since the reality show began back in 2013.

Proof, if any was needed, that the show has enjoyed greater and greater popularity since its launch, the figures provide a fair estimation of the viewers expected to tune in each week to follow the lives of Captain Lee and chef Ben Robinson.

As we exclusively revealed in an earlier article, the yacht featured in this season of Below Deck, the highly modern VALOR, is in actual fact the 47m/154ft motor yacht BG , a Feadship yacht which is available for private charter .

Having been on board BG in Miami following the filming of Below Deck, the team at YachtCharterFleet recently published a fully comprehensive review of the yacht which contains a number of exclusive images which can be found  here .

To get an indepth look at the skylounge and the more hidden parts of the yacht, watch the video below to take a guide tour courtesy of this season’s breakout star, stewardess Kate Chastain.

Immaculately maintained and replete with the latest features, the Below Deck Season 4 yacht VALOR is sure to have viewers stunned during each and every episode

As well as taking a behind-the-scenes look at Captain Lee’s cabin and the galley used by Ben Robinson, the latest video from Bravo provides an even greater insight into the design of BG’s skylounge.

Consistent with the monochrome theme which governs other communal and private spaces, the skylounge has been arranged to optimise the space available and offers a suitably luxurious environment for guests to socialise and unwind in.

A rare glimpse into the lives of crews and captains, deckhand Nico Scholly also makes an appearance in the most recent installment of the tour around superyacht BG.

Sure to be one of the best seasons yet, Below Deck Season 4 takes place in the British Virgin Islands , a destination famed for its cobalt blue waters and awe-inspiring coastlines.

With an exterior layout perfectly primed for enjoying the climate of the Caribbean , charterers on board BG will be treated to a variety of outdoor options with enough room for some late night partying.

What’s more, with stewardess Sierra Storm making her debut in the world of yachting, there’s sure to be plenty of scenes keeping audiences glued to their seats.

Delivered by U.S. yard Trinity Yachts in 2006, the vessel is getting a little long in the tooth but underwent a substantial refit last year. The white hull was painted sky blue, the operational systems were upgraded, and the interior was revamped. The vessel’s name was also changed to Purpose this past January.

Large enough to accommodate both guests and reality TV stars, Purpose is equipped with six generous cabins, including an owner’s suite, a VIP, three doubles, and a twin. In addition, the yacht features a sprawling main salon with a baby grand piano, a formal dining room, and an upper deck lounge. The living quarters evoke the Golden Age of yachting, with dark wood paneling contrasting light upholstery.

Heading outside, the sundeck is home to a Jacuzzi, sun loungers, and a bar perfect for cocktail hour. The crew can also set up an alfresco gym or an open-air cinema outside if you desire. As you might expect, Purpose also comes with a full arsenal of water toys and tenders, including a 32-foot Intrepid, wave runners, kayaks, paddleboards, and more. She also sports an inflatable pool, a 30-foot waterslide, and a beach club pontoon that will be particularly fun in the Med.

Gary King answers Below Deck Sailing Yacht questions amid Season 5 delay

Gary King on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4

Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Gary King has been answering fan questions as we all wait for news on Season 5 of the hit yachting show.

It’s been over a year since Season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht was filmed.

While waiting for more Below Deck Sailing Yacht news, Gary took to Instagram to answer some questions.

Several of those questions had to do with him returning for another season.

“Aww thanks :) I will if they ask me back,” he wrote in one slide, which was a picture of him doing a confessional on the show.

Another reply from Gary stated, “It’s not up to me :) but if they back I’d for sure do it for sure.”

The reality TV star also let a fan know to tell the powers that be on the show they want him back.

Gary King IG Stories

Other questions from Gary’s Instagram Q&A session had to do with some of his cast members from Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Gary was asked if he still keeps in touch with Chief Marcos Spaziani, to which Gary replied he just saw him in Los Angeles recently. Marcos was also given props from Gary, who claimed he couldn’t pick a favorite chef’s dish because anything from Marcos was the bomb.

When asked about his favorite season to film, Gary replied, “Goona say season 3 due to the giggle club.”

Gary King answers fan questions

One fan wanted to know if Gary still keeps in touch with Captain Glenn Shephard. Gary said he had just spoken to the captain for about an hour the day before.

Gary’s friendship with Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher was another hot topic. They do still keep in touch and even reunited just a couple of weeks ago.

In a fun fact kind of way, Gary shared a behind-the-scenes picture from filming.

What’s happening with Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht has already been delayed for months. In the past, the sailing show aired in the summer. However, Below Deck Med slipped into that spot this year with Season 9 currently airing.

Bravo did tease that Season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht would hit Bravo airwaves this fall. The network continues to have promos for all the Real Housewives shows returning this fall but not Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Only three episodes remain in Below Deck Med Season 9, and no trailer for Below Deck Sailing Yacht has been released yet.

All of this has fans worried Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 will be shelved and the show canceled as no leaked photos from Season 6 have surfaced either. The latter is a big deal since by this time of year we should have seen something from filming.

Keep checking back with Monsters and Critics for more details on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, which we hope to have soon.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is currently on hiatus on Bravo. Seasons 1-4 are streaming on Peacock.

northern sun, below deck down under, superyacht

Inside the star yacht of Below Deck Down Under season two

Television network Bravo will begin airing season two of Below Deck Down Under on 17 July, a Below Deck spin-off which follows a yacht crew over an eight-week charter season in Australia. This instalment sees Captain Jason Chambers return at the helm, cruising guests around the warm, tropical waters and colourful cays of the near-uninhabited Whitsunday Islands. Making her debut down under is Northern Sun , a Japanese superyacht with an unexpected history. BOAT takes a look inside…

Delivered in 1976 under the name Hokko Maru (“Northern Light”), Northern Sun has lived a full and fascinating life. At 50.8 metres, she was the largest yacht built by Narasaki Shipbuilding at the time and worked as an ice-class research vessel, analysing marine life and ocean currents in the North Japan Sea. The transformation from ship to superyacht came in 2006 when she underwent a two-year refit, courtesy of her new owners.

Northern Sun has the hardy constitution of an explorer, marking a departure from the first season’s white boat Keri Lee III .

When her current owners undertook renovations, they were intent to elevate her to superyacht standards while still maintaining her distinctive look. Her old windlasses are still visible on the forward deck, the master cabin has retained its original camber and even the engine room looks exactly as it did when she was a research ship. "Looks" being the operative word, of course – she’s had several system upgrades since the 70s.

Interiors include natural materials such as narra and makore wood (commonly known as cherry mahogany). This dark wood furniture and wall panelling give Northern Sun her warm, traditional feel, while the cabins themselves are dotted with the owners’ collection of travel paraphernalia. It makes for an eclectic living space, with indoor sofa seating accented by authentic Persian rugs and the formal dining room and master suite fixed with guild-frame, 19th century oil paintings. Keep an eye out for one of the owners’ most coveted pieces, a 100-year-old ship’s clock which still rings out the two-hour, maritime work shift also known as "the dog watch".

Northern Sun’s main deck is dedicated entirely to entertainment, from the al fresco dining area to the main saloon with its piano and games table. Other leisure highlights include gym equipment, a dedicated library on the lower deck and an outdoor Jacuzzi, surrounded by sun pads and lounge beds. The owners’ addition of a forward seating area during her refit allows for versatile recreation, whether the mood calls for cocktail parties or quiet, waterside contemplation.

The superyacht naturally has impressive stowing capacity, with space for scuba-diving equipment, a waterski and a two-deck-high inflatable water slide. There are also two Laser sailboats, enabling nimbler exploration along Australia’s shallow bays and coral reefs.

The owners spent ten years cruising through Southeast Asia after Northern Sun was refitted. Using the superyacht as a base for adventures, they've scuba-dived in the Andaman Sea, kayaked in the mangrove swamps of Phang Nga Bay and explored some of Indonesia’s most remote fishing islands. In 2015, they decided to put Northern Sun on the charter market, where she quickly became one of the most popular yachts available in Thailand. Now, she’s made her way across the seas to become the breakout star of Below Deck Down Under .

Captain Jason will be joined by returning chief stew Aesha Scott, working alongside a brand-new crew.

Northern Sun is currently listed with Ocean Independence , with a weekly charter starting from $161,700 and an asking price of $15,000,000.

Where is Below Deck season 6 star Adrian Martin now? Details explored

C hef Adrian Martin, known for his laid-back demeanor and culinary expertise, quickly becomes a standout crew member in season 6 of Below Deck . His impressive cooking skills, combined with his zen attitude, made him an immediate favorite among both the guests and the crew.

Adrian's composed demeanor in the chaotic yacht kitchen and his ability to deliver top-tier meals under pressure make him a vital part of the team.

Adrian Martin left Below Deck after Season 6 to focus on his chef business and pursue opportunities outside of reality TV. After the show, he continued his journey as a chef and has now become a father to a baby girl in 2022.

What is Adrian Martin doing off the deck?

Adrian Martin has continued working as a chef since leaving the My Seanna yacht after Below Deck season 6.

The reality TV star started offering private dining experiences as a chef for hire. After his private chef contract in New York City ended, he switched to serving other clients.

He briefly returned to his hometown, Saint Martin, before announcing a culinary tour across the USA, which he repeated in February 2023.

In addition to his culinary career, this reality star experienced a significant change in his personal life when he became the father of a daughter named Poppy in 2022. He welcomed the baby girl with his partner, Grace, while residing in Oregon and working there.

Other than his culinary practice and growing a family, Adrian posted about his successful 2024 road trips on social media including a West Coast journey in January and an East Coast trip from June to July.

Adrian Martin has kept a low online profile, avoiding Below Deck -related posts. He only follows a few alumni like Captain Lee Rosbach and former Chief Stew Kate Chastain, and it seems unlikely that he would return for a future season. However, it's not confirmed by the chef.

After leaving Below Deck , Chef Adrian has been living a quiet life, working as a chef in Oregon and traveling across the USA.

A look back on Adrian Martin on seasons of Below Deck

In season 6, Chef Adrian Martin quickly became a standout cast member aboard the superyacht My Seanna in Tahiti. His culinary talent and calm personality made him a favorite among guests and crew members. Adrian's innovative dishes earned rave reviews from guests.

Adrian's quirky humor occasionally caused tension among the crew during the season. Third Stew Laura Betancourt found his comments inappropriate and uncomfortable.

Despite this, he maintained good relationships and stood out for his composure under pressure, making him one of the most respected and memorable chefs in the series' history.

More details about Adrian Martin

Adrian Martin, inspired by working in his father's restaurant on the island of Sint Maarten, pursued his passion for cooking. After training in top culinary schools in France and working at prestigious restaurants in Paris, he began cooking on yachts in his early 20s.

Adrian's culinary journey has taken him to remote locations, where he prepares meals for influential clients. When not on charter, Adrian enjoys pursuing his passions for music, art, meditation, and travel, according to the chef bio on the Bravo TV website.

After Adrian Martin left, Below Deck introduced new crew members and chefs, who added their drama and flair to the show. However, Adrian's memorable presence from Season 6 still stands out for many fans.

Below deck , season 11 with all its 17 episodes is available on Netflix which was released back on May 27, 2024. The Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 , another spin-off of the original, is also currently streaming on Bravo TV.

When the first season of Below Deck aired in 2013, it was an instant hit. With a good-looking crew that got on each other's nerves, dramatic charter guests, and a captain that wasn't to be messed around with , all aboard a multimillion-dollar yacht in the Caribbean, it made for great television. So, it only made sense that the show expanded to other parts of the world, giving viewers a look at yachting in the Mediterranean.

Season 1 of Below Deck Mediterranean aired in 2016, and it was the first season that did not feature Captain Sandy Yawn at the helm. The season featured memorable stews and deckhands aboard the Ionian Princess which sailed around Greece, (viewers wouldn't see the crew in Greece again until Season 9), but it feels like it's been so long since the first-ever season aired. So, what is the OG Below Deck Med cast doing today?

Aesha Scott Reveals

Below Deck Med's Aesha Scott Reveals Which Yacht Guests She Can't Stand

Below Deck's Aesha Scott is known for her friendly personality, but even this chief stew has a tough time loving these types of charter guests.

9 Bobby Giancola

Job title: deckhand.

Bobby Giancola talking

The firefighter turned deckhand was probably best known for pursuing second stewardess Julia d'Albert Pusey, but failing miserably at it. He got into a few scuffles with his crewmates, including Danny Zureikat and the women on the yacht. Bobby returned to Season 2 of Below Deck Med , which was the first season viewers saw a woman captain—Captain Sandy Yawn.

Bobby is no longer working as a crew member on super yachts, but he is still in the yachting industry as he's now a licensed yacht broker. According to his Instagram, Bobby is doing extremely well for himself , regularly posting images of the million-dollar yachts he sells.

8 Jen Riservato

Jen Riservato was the lone woman among the male deckhands in Season 1, but constantly butted heads with the lead deckhand, Bryan Kattenburg. Jen also stuck up for her girls when Bobby got into an intense confrontation with them for wanting to bring a woman aboard the yacht.

Jen hasn't made another return to other Below Deck Med seasons, but as Nicki Swift reported, when she spoke to South Florida Gay News , Jen revealed she wouldn't be opposed to coming back.

"I'd definitely consider another season, but for now I'm taking a little break. It's pretty exciting. Living with people on a yacht is like living with people in a trailer, it's stressful."

Nicki Swift also reported that Jen is now happily married to Angel City FC soccer player Paige Nielsen.

7 Danny Zureikat

Danny Zureikat looking upset

Season 1's deckhand Danny Zureikat clashed with just about everyone on the Ionian Princess , including Captain Mark Howard. Danny was all about the ladies who would charter the yacht and less about his job. Viewers might even remember when Danny wanted to pass along a poem to one of the guests, which was totally crossing the line. It wasn't surprising when Danny was eventually fired mid-season for being lackluster at his job.

Danny was not seen in any other Below Deck season. Looking at his Instagram, Danny is now focusing on an acting career and is a content creator.

6 Tiffany Copeland

Job title: 3rd stewardess.

Tiffany Copeland talking

Tiffany Copeland worked as the third stewardess in Season 1, but she didn't meet chief stew Hannah Ferrier's standards. During one episode, Hannah confronts a drunk Tiffany about how bad of a job she's doing and even tries to convince her that she should quit yachting.

According to Men's Health , Tiffany continued to work aboard ships and appears to also be a captain . On Instagram, Tiffany has shared photos of her marriage to a man named Evan Jones and the couple are raising a daughter.

5 Julia d'Albert Pusey

Job title: 2nd stewardess.

Julia d'Albert Pusey talking

Julia d'Albert Pusey was a good 2nd stew, but she had a few meltdowns aboard the Ionian Princess, including clashing with Chef Ben Robinson over croissants. Despite having a boyfriend back home in England, Julia was extremely flirtatious with Bobby, but the two would never hook up.

According to her Instagram, Julia left the world of yachting behind and is a content creator with over 100,000 followers. She also married the same boyfriend she left when she joined Season 1 and the couple are parents to a son named Xavier.

Sandy Yawn

Why Below Deck’s Captain Sandy Yawn Said She ‘Should Have Been Dead 10 Times’

Below Deck's Captain Sandy Yawn stated that her life has been so dangerous that it is a miracle she is still alive.

4 Hannah Ferrier

Job title: chief stewardess.

Hannah Ferrier talking

Hannah Ferrier has become a household name to Below Deck fans. She has been a part of the Below Deck Med series as a chief stew for 5 seasons, that is, until Captain Sandy fired her after she was found to have drugs aboard The Wellington towards the end of the Season 5 charter.

According to People , Hannah married Josh Roberts in her native Australia, and they are parents to a daughter named Ava Grace. Hannah returned to reality TV when she appeared in The Traitors Australia in 2022 and has her own podcast called, Dear Reality, You're effed! in which she talks about popular reality shows on Bravo.

3 Bryan Kattenburg

Job title: bosun/first officer.

Bryan Kattenburg talking

Not too many people liked first officer Bryan Kattenburg , especially when they watched him boss around deckhand Jen. He was aggressive when it came to his job and had spats with Hannah, Julia, and Danny. Fans have not seen Bryan on any other Below Deck seasons, and are probably happy about it.

According to Bryan's Instagram profile, he is a yacht broker just like his former deckhand Bobby, and appears to have also made his way up in yachting, as his profile states that he is a captain.

2 Ben Robinson

Job title: chef.

Fan Favorite Chef Ben Robinson And What He's Up To Today

Chef Ben Robinson was already a familiar face on the franchise, having been part of the first-ever season of Below Deck in 2013 and returning for Season 2-4. After being the chef on Below Deck Med Season 1, he returned mid-season for Season 4 after a disastrous chef failure with chef Mila Kolomeitseva.

Ben wouldn't return to any other franchise spinoff, but he did return to chat about the other Below Deck season's on Bravo's Galley Talk . Today, Ben is running his own catering company where he travels all over the world showcasing his cooking skills.

1 Captain Mark Howard

Job title: captain.

Below Deck's Captain Mark Howard promotional photo

Viewers never got to see Captain Mark Howard again after Season 1 of Below Deck Med . He wasn't a bad captain and was always just and fair to his crew. However, as a Screen Rant article revealed, Captain Mark wasn't a big fan of reality television which made him quit the show . From Season 2-9, fans have watched Captain Sandy at the helm of these mega yachts. Captain Mark became somewhat of a mystery when he left the reality show. Sadly, he died in 2021 from cardiovascular disease with chronic alcoholism, per People .

8 reasons below deck sailing yacht season 5 should air gary king's dirty laundry (he should get a bad edit).

Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Gary King has been publicly scrutinized over some major allegations, and his dirty laundry should be aired on the series to ensure viewers know what he may have done . Throughout the run of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Gary has been one of the standout stars . Working as the First Officer of Parsifal III beneath Captain Glenn Shephard, Gary has been able to do decent work for years, but his attitude has been difficult for viewers to get behind. While his time on the show hasn’t been sparse, his behavior has been spotty.

There has been a fair share of problematic yachties on the Below Deck franchise over the years. From issues with crew members confronting one another to substance abuse problems sprouting up during charter seasons, Below Deck viewers are no strangers to issues on the high seas, but Gary’s behavior has been troubling for many because of the casual nature of it. Generally, Gary has been more of a typical playboy character on the series , which makes it more difficult to pin down his transgressions over the years.

Gary’s behavior has grown more troubling through the years, and the longer that Below Deck Sailing Yacht continues, the more he gets away with on the series. Early on, Gary simply seemed like a player, interested in all the women aboard the sailing yacht. Flirty and touchy, Gary was open about the fact that he didn’t like to settle down with just one person. While he was honest about his intentions, Gary was struggling to respect boundaries aboard the vessel . As the show’s continued, Gary has made more women uncomfortable with his actions and ignored the potential consequences.

With Gary’s behavior on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 having brought viewers to a place of questioning with the First Officer when allegations of sexual misconduct were lodged against him in the show’s off-season, most weren’t surprised. Gary’s inability to take accountability for his actions was clear from the moment the allegations came out, especially after the story seemed to be corroborated by Bravo when they removed him from BravoCon’s lineup last summer. Despite knowing that many believed the brave woman who came forward about him, Gary didn’t change his behavior and instead doubled down on his attitude .

Now, with Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 looming in the distance, many are wondering what’s going to happen with Gary’s storyline. While some want the Bravo series to brush Gary’s wrongdoings under the rug, others hope that the show touches upon his abhorrent behavior . By holding Gary accountable for how he’s made women uncomfortable, it’s possible that things could change and he could make the decision to leave the series or, at the very least, investigate his own actions.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

8 Gary’s Behavior Has Been Tolerated Since The Beginning

He’s never been told no.

Although Gary’s been a longtime crew member of Parsifal III, his behavior has been difficult from early on in his Below Deck journey. While Gary has always passed himself off as a playboy who’s simply looking for women’s attention, his somewhat difficult way with women has been tolerated on the sailing yacht crew. Whether Captain Glenn simply isn’t aware of Gary’s nature or has deemed his behavior more appropriate than it is, Gary has always been allowed to be overly flirtatious with women aboard the sailing yacht.

While some of Gary’s behavior is likely just him attempting to be charming and charismatic, there’s been some odd behavior he’s displayed and gotten away with, too. The majority of Gary’s behavior during Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 with Stew Mads Herrera was uncomfortable, and she noted as much on the series. Even so, Gary’s interactions with Mads only got worse as the charter went on , and he never seemed to notice she wasn’t enthusiastically enjoying their time together.

7 Gary’s Ignoring The Implications Of His Actions

He doesn’t care that he looks bad.

While Gary may understand that some people don’t like his actions , he ignores the idea of that being a possibility no matter what happens to him on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Gary’s behavior can be appropriate at times, but his inappropriate behavior has been at an all-time high in recent years. While he’s been working hard to ignore all of his red flags, Gary’s behavior and what’s been detailed about his alleged sexual misconduct should give him pause about his actions.

In the report explaining his sexual misconduct allegations, it was shared that Gary was loud and rough with the Below Deck makeup artist he allegedly assaulted. He didn’t realize he was crossing a line with her, but despite her repeated rejection, Gary continued to push and make light of what he was doing. While the allegations aren’t confirmed, Gary’s ignoring the implications of his actions , which makes it seem like he would cross lines to get what he wants despite how the other party feels.

6 Gary’s True Actions Deserve To Be Shown

Viewers deserve the truth.

Although Gary’s been on Below Deck Sailing Yacht for years and many viewers feel they’ve gotten to know him, his true nature deserves to be shown on the series. While some viewers haven’t glossed over the odd behavior Gary’s displayed in the past , others have managed to allow it to seem normal, writing Gary off as a player with eyes for every woman he sees. By acting so casually about Gary’s tendencies, some have failed to notice how predatory his behavior can be.

Gary’s true nature, which appears to be someone who doesn’t respect boundaries and feels compelled to take what he wants without remorse, should be revealed to Below Deck Sailing Yacht viewers. Rather than making it out to be a joke or a series of lighthearted flirtations, Gary’s actions should get the airtime to prove that he can be dangerous. Viewers of the series deserve to know who the true Gary is, regardless of what that may mean.

5 Gary’s Colleagues Deserve Justice In Their Dislike For Him

His fellow yachties deserve to be seen.

While there are some Below Deck stars, like his longtime friend Daisy Kelliher , who have been supportive of Gary after the allegations came out, others have had issues with him in the past. Like Mads and Lucy Edmunds from Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4, there have been many female crew members who have taken issue with Gary’s behavior. Rather than relegating them to simply complaining about things on screen, the behavior in question deserves explanation and validation for Below Deck crew members.

Though Below Deck Sailing Yacht stars may not be interested in opening an old can of worms when it comes to Gary’s nature, those who have felt uncomfortable with him deserve to know that their feelings are valid. Gary should be held accountable for his actions , and his behavior should be something that is shown for what it is. The Below Deck Sailing Yacht cast should be able to feel justified in their dislike or disinterest in Gary, especially after he’s made them uncomfortable.

4 Gary’s Behavior Shouldn’t Be Hidden Or Edited Out

Ignoring his behavior is unnecessary.

While Gary’s behavior has likely been edited out in the past, his time on Below Deck Sailing Yacht has always seemed to be in his favor far more than it likely is now. After the allegations of misconduct, Gary should have to face his own actions on screen. Making it clear that he’s not exactly the man of honor that he makes himself out to be, Gary should have to face what he’s done and the public scrutiny that comes along with it.

While Below Deck Sailing Yacht, much like the other shows in the franchise, typically edits their episodes to bring a story to life, they should make sure the narrative they’re sharing includes some of Gary’s more troubling moments. Rather than holding things back or sweeping them under the rug, Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 should hold Gary accountable for his actions. Rather than editing around Gary, showing who he is to the audience could create major change .

3 Gary’s True Nature Deserves Attention From Viewers

Below deck fans deserve the full picture.

While some have been quick to realize that Gary’s behavior can be upsetting or difficult , others haven’t seen the true picture of who Gary is after the misconduct allegations came to light. Below Deck viewers can be forgiving at times, especially when it comes to yachties who they enjoy watching in the franchise. While some have been aware of Gary’s behavior, others have been willing to write it off as a joke for far too long .

The show should give the full picture of who Gary is in order to allow viewers the level of understanding they need to decide whether or not to support him anymore. Gary’s actions may not have been as bad as they appear , but without Below Deck Sailing Yacht giving information about what Gary did and how he behaves, viewers wouldn’t know. If there are any damning pieces of evidence against Gary, the series should be letting viewers see and decide for themselves.

2 Gary’s Been Placated For Too Long

He needs to face consequences.

While Gary has claimed that he’s been called out for his behavior in the past, it’s clear that he feels far too comfortable making others uncomfortable, and hasn’t actually been told to stand down. Gary’s been placated, both by Below Deck Sailing Yacht and the viewers of the show , for years. Without genuine consequences for his actions, Gary has continued practicing upsetting behavior, making women uncomfortable throughout his time on the series.

Although Gary’s actions, at times, may not have been worth calling out, there have been some major instances of discomfort on Below Deck Sailing Yacht in the past. Even Andy Cohen, who sometimes lets Bravo stars slide during the reunions he hosts, called Gary out about his behavior in the last season of the series. Even so, with Gary continually returning to the show , he’s been placated and feels far too comfortable for others to feel safe around him.

1 Gary Shouldn’t Be Able To Return To Below Deck Sailing Yacht

He doesn’t deserve to be on the series.

Although Gary will be a part of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, it should be his last season of the series regardless of what happened in his sexual misconduct case. Gary’s behavior aside from the allegations had already been poor , and knowing that he’s been able to get away with making people uncomfortable for years should be enough to excuse him from the series. Though Gary has been a source of drama , it’s time for him to leave the show.

Many viewers have been taking issue with Below Deck Sailing Yacht for bringing Gary back to the series after the unfortunate allegations came out. While the show was already filming, the fact that Gary doesn’t seem to have faced any consequences for his potential actions is upsetting. Below Deck Sailing Yacht would be a safer series, and likely a better one, without Gary working aboard the crew.
