The D2P Displacement to Planing Hull designed by Pierluigi Ausonio in conjunction with the Azimut Benetti R&D Centre combines the comfort typical of a displacement hull with the performance of a planing hull and it significantly improved fuel efficiency. This new solution is based on a double chine hull design with an innovative wave piercer and allows the yacht reaching high top speeds without needing particular powerful engines, or navigate in displacement mode with a remarkable range at a cost effective speed. The hull has been optimised for the full range of most frequently used speeds of 10-12 knots and cruising speeds in semi-displacement mode.

Owner’s suite with instant balcony

The Owner’s suite features a private balcony. Using a mechanism that is highly sophisticated but extremely straightforward, the section of the full-height window with a carbon fiber frame folds out, while the floor of the balcony extends from under the cabin, protected by automatic pop up stanchions. The result is the Instant Balcony , with no uprights or other obstacles to spoil the panoramic view from the owner’s suite.

Unique in this category is the option to add an additional sundeck (almost 30 m 2 ) on a third level, with access from the upper deck in the stern. This solution doesn’t affect the balance of volumes and retains the model’s overall dynamism.

Description

Azimut Grande 35 metri - a motor superyacht with an oceanic seaworthiness class, nine cabins and a crew of 6 people. The fiberglass case has a length of 35 meters. The vessel with flybridge and a maximum speed of 25 knots has been in production since 2016. The concept and exterior design of the yacht was done by Stefano Rigini, and Salvagni Architetti was responsible for the interiors. The customer has the opportunity to choose from various options for decoration and layout of living spaces.

On the sundeck, a wood-lounged lounge area with vetbara and sofas. On the fly bridge in the bow, sunbeds, a swimming pool, a control post with panoramic glazing, a large lounge with sofas, tables and separate armchairs. The control post has a sofa, a table and a captain's chair. The main deck is occupied by a saloon, side bathrooms and owner's cabin with a private bathroom. On the bow of the lower deck crew cabins are provided. On the midship are two cabins with double beds and two cabins with two single beds. Exits from the cabins lead to a spiral staircase. On the cockpit of the lower deck there is a garage for the tender and a jet ski, a swimming platform, onto which there are two stairs along the sides.

The Azimut Grande 35 metri has two 2400 hp MTU 16V 2000 M93 engines. Fuel tanks are designed for 18 tons, and the fresh water supply is 3 tons. Thus, the yacht has a cruising range of 500 nautical miles and can go into the open sea.

Azimut Seadeck 6, navigare in pace con il mare

Capostipite di una nuova gamma di imbarcazioni del cantiere Azimut, il  Seadeck 6 è un'imbarcazione di 17,50 metri innovativa in tutto, dalle soluzioni progettuali e materiali di costruzione che la rendono a basso impatto ambientale, fino a idee sorprendenti come la "fun island" (ma non solo), che portano ai massimi livelli la piacevolezza di stare a bordo.

L'Azimut Seadeck 6, come del resto tutta la gamma Seadeck che vede in arrivo anche il 7 e il 9, è creato intorno a un principio fondamentale: la sostenibilità. Un termine che concettualmente si scontra con l’idea di nautica a motore, non solo per le grandi quantità di carburante che le barche utilizzano in mare, ma anche per i materiali di costruzione della barca stessa.

In che modo l'Azimut Seadeck 6 si rende eco compatibile

Se, spesso, per parlare di sostenibilità ambientale molti si fanno bastare l'installazione di un motore elettrico, nel caso della gamma Seadeck, l'intenzione di Azimut è stata di interessare l'intero progetto ai principi dell'abbattimento degli inquinanti, quindi non solo l'adozione di sistemi ibridi, ma anche l'utilizzo fin dove possibile di materiali eco compatibili, secondo il concetto “back to nature”.

Ne è nata quindi un'imbarcazione di 17,50 metri che sostituisce diversi componenti costruttivi tradizionali con altri a minore impatto ambientale.

Per esempio, al posto del teak sui paglioli esterni ora c'è il sughero di Marinecork, una corteccia naturale che si rigenera e che quindi può essere estratta dall’albero senza che questo venga abbattuto. C'è poi il PET riciclato (quello delle bottiglie per intenderci) che è utilizzato per la moquette interna e nelle anime delle paratie e della coperta.

Lo sviluppo degli interni, inoltre, è stato affidato allo studio di Matteo Thun e Antonio Rodriguez, digiuni di design nautico, ma scelti da Azimut perché grandi esperti nella progettazione di case, hotel, villaggi e altre strutture in materiali ecologici e perfettamente integrati in mezzo alla natura.

Certo, nel caso della nautica non siamo ancora ai livelli così alti dell'ecologia come nell'edificazione terrestre ma, come si vede dalla serie Seadeck, la strada è ben tracciata e lo sviluppo costante della tecnologia, che permetterà di utilizzare sempre di più materiali eco compatibili, potrà far avanzare non solo Azimut, ma tutti i produttori di barche, che abbiano l'intenzione e i mezzi, di procedere su questo percorso virtuoso.

Intanto, a proposito di contesti naturali, l'Azimut Seadeck 6 fa la sua parte anche dal punto di vista tecnico, per sostare in rada senza emissioni gassose e acustiche. Il systema mild-hybrid, infatti, si avvale di una batteria da 40 kW/h netti per le utenze a 220V e in più prevede la funzione Hotel Mode, per l'utilizzo delle utenze di bordo senza accendere il generatore di corrente, con un'autonomia, a seconda delle condizioni, di 8 ore notturne e 4 ore diurne.

Inoltre è previsto un alternatore da 3kW sul motore di sinistra per la ricarica delle batterie, che è coadiuvato nel suo compito da pannelli solari da 1,4 kW.

Il progetto degli esterni dell'Azimut Seadeck 6

Come da tradizione Azimut di questi ultimi tempi, il design esterno del Seadeck 6, e di quelli a seguire, è stato affidato ad Albero Mancini, che ha disegnato questo yacht di 17,50 metri con tanti tratti non solo distintivi, ma anche innovativi, a partire dalla cosiddetta fun island .

L’area di poppa, infatti, può essere completamente aperta verso il mare da tutti i lati con un living al centro del pozzetto, che può essere trasformato in un enorme prendisole, ai piedi del quale c'è una spiaggetta che può immergersi di 40 centimetri liberando anche dei gradini per accedervi comodamente.

Ai lati, invece, si aprono due piattaforme sospese sul mare dotate pure di protezioni laterali (amovibili) che, oltre alla loro naturale funzione protettiva, hanno anche una bella valenza estetica.

Inoltre, lungo il profilo posteriore dell’hard top è installata una tenda a scomparsa per ombreggiare sia la dinette sia il prendisole di poppa. Ed è proprio dalla dinette che si può accedere ai due passavanti molto ampi e protetti da murate che si innalzano in un piacevole andamento sinuoso.

A prua è impossibile non apprezzare il prendisole con inclinazioni differenti a fungere anche da divanetto o chaise longue con portaoggetti e porta bicchieri ai lati.

Il verricello è montato direttamente sulla vetroresina in coperta nella zona prodiera, così da permettere un monitoraggio costante dall’equipaggio grazie al controller remoto, ma in opzione è possibile installare una telecamera per osservare lo scorrere della catena direttamente dalla plancia di comando.

Il progetto degli interni dell'Azimut Seadeck 6

Il layout interno, come abbiamo visto, è stato affidato a Matteo Thun e Antonio Rodriguez, prima volta per loro nel settore nautico.

Entrando nel salone si nota subito la cucina posizionata al confine tra l'esterno e l'interno, con la possibilità di far scorrere in verticale la vetrata per creare un’unica continuità tra gli ambienti. Anche nel blocco cucina ritorna la scelta di materiali eco compatibili, con l’utilizzo del lapitec come materiale petrol-free.

Gli interni sono molto luminosi grazie alla presenza delle ampie vetrate a 360 gradi che permettono anche un pieno controllo della navigazione intorno a noi ad eccezione della zona di dritta a poppa, che è coperta dal frigorifero e da un armadio.

Al centro c’è un salottino con divanetto a L e tavolo con alette ribaltabili per aumentare la superficie di appoggio, mentre spostandoci verso prua troviamo la postazione di comando sulla dritta con due poltrone singole con bolster indipendente, per poter scegliere la posizione che più si preferisce.

Su un’imbarcazione di 17,50 metri va da sé che la plancia abbia tutti gli elementi e l'elettronica necessaria al controllo della navigazione e dei motori, compresa la domotica di bordo integrata con Google Home per comandare le utenze di bordo a voce.

Sottocoperta si accede dalla scala di sinistra a chiocciola, ai piedi della qualche c'è un corridoio e subito di fronte la cabina ospiti con 2 letti gemelli e un armadio.

A proravia è invece posizionata la Vip, con accesso dedicato al bagno, ma non esclusivo, perché lo stesso bagno è accessibile anche dal corridoio, rendendolo di fatto in comune tra le due cabine. Non manca la luminosità che arriva dalle ampie vetrate a dar la sensazione di un ambiente ancora più grande.

A poppa, su un livello più basso di altri tre gradini per dare maggior altezza interna, si entra nella cabina armatoriale, con due grandi vetrate a offrire una vista mare esclusiva. Oltre al grande letto, sulla sinistra c’è un divano lineare lungo la murata di dritta con il bagno posizionato di traverso a prua.

I motori e il test dell'Azimut Seadeck 6

La motorizzazione installata nell'unità che ho provato vede una tripla Volvo Penta da 480 cv Ips650, ovvero l'equipaggiamento in opzione rispetto a quello standard, che prevede tre motori da 380 cv Ips500.

Ci apprestiamo a uscire dal porto e grazie al joystick è semplicissimo manovrare e allontanarsi dalla banchina. Al minimo i motori girano a 600 rpm avanzando a 2,4 nodi, mentre in planata ci si arriva a 2.400 giri con un'andatura di 13,3 nodi, consumando complessivamente 112 litri per ogni ora di navigazione.

Se guardiamo il rapporto velocità/consumi possiamo notare in tabella che è possibile viaggiare fino ai 19,4 nodi a 2800 giri tenendo una media al di sotto degli 8 litri per miglio.

La navigazione è molto comoda con mare calmo, mentre incontrando l’onda lunga (banco di prova del nostro test) gli ampi volumi interni fanno un po' da cassa di risonanza nelle fasi di impatto sull'onda, ma è solo una questione acustica, poiché la barca è ben ammortizzata dalle linee d’acqua.

In ogni caso, l’insonorizzazione complessiva è ben gestita, soprattutto chiudendo la cabina principale, mentre il Seakeeper provvede ad annullare ogni forma di rollio rendendo l’esperienza a bordo davvero piacevole.

Salendo di velocità i consumi si attestano sugli 8,5 litri per miglio a partire dai 3.000 giri nel range di crociera veloce da 21 nodi fino ad arrivare ai 27 a 3400 giri.

Affondando del tutto la manetta si toccano i 32,2 nodi a 3700 giri con un consumo complessivo che si attesta sui 288 litri.
