Mit wie vielen personen kann ich auf einer motoryacht fahren.

Sie haben die Auswahl zwischen kleinen, sportlichen Yachten für zwei bis vier Personen und großen Megayachten, die eine umfangreiche Crew erforderlich machen. In den meisten Fällen übernehmen auf Motoryachten bis zu einer Größe von 21 Metern Yachtmatrosen die Verantwortung.

Der Ausdruck ?Crew? bezieht sich hierbei auf eine Gruppe aus mindestens zwei Personen. Gehören der Crew genau zwei Menschen an, dann erhalten diese im Allgemeinen die Titel Schiffsführer und Steward.

Wie viele Crewmitglieder benötigt werden, kann pauschal nicht festgelegt werden, da unter anderem auch mehrere Ingenieure, Köche und Kinderbetreuer mitreisen können.

Die Baumaterialien für die Motoryachten: Unterschiedliche Typen, unterschiedliche Einsatzgebiete

Moderne Yachten werden bevorzugt aus faserverstärkten Kunststoffen gefertigt. Oftmals kommt CFK oder GFK zum Einsatz.

Traditionell diente Holz als Baumaterial für die Wasserfahrzeuge, da es robust und leicht verfügbar ist. Möglich sind auch Aluminium und Stahl.

Die Konstruktionsform soll die Sportlichkeit der Boote ermöglichen, wobei im Falle von größeren Yachten der Fokus auf dem Komfort liegt.

Die Geschwindigkeit, der Spritverbrauch und der Tankvorrat

Die meisten privat genutzten Motoryachten verfügen über eine Größe von 10 bis 20 Metern. Der Spritverbrauch liegt bei dieser Bootsgröße bei rund 100 Litern pro Stunde.

Um Hochseetauglichkeit zu erreichen, sollte eine Yacht mindestens 12 Meter lang sein. Große Privatyachten können mehr als 180 Meter lang sein und bis zu 36 Knoten erreichen.

Die Reichweite wird durch den Tankinhalt begrenzt. Eine durchschnittliche Yacht besitzt Tank mit einer Größe von 500 bis 1.500 Litern.

Mit welchen regelmäßigen Kosten muss ich für die Motoryacht rechnen?

Eine Faustformel besagt, dass die Unterhaltungskosten einem Zehntel des Neupreises des Bootes entsprechen. Eine Motoryacht mit einem Wert von 100.000 Euro führt demnach zu jährlichen Kosten in Höhe von 10.000 Euro.

Brauche ich für das Führen der Motoryacht einen Führerschein?

Bei großen Yachten engagieren die meisten Nutzer eine Crew inklusive Kapitän. Erbringt der Motor eine Leistung von mehr als 15 PS, dann benötigen Sie für Fahrten auf Seen und Flüssen den Sportbootführerschein Binnen. Der Gültigkeitsbereich umfasst alle Bundeswasserstraßen, die sich im Geltungsbereich der Binnenschifffahrtsstraßen-Ordnung befinden.

Auf einzelnen Gewässern, beispielsweise auf dem Rhein, gelten abweichende Regelungen. Wenn Sie auf dem Rhein unterwegs sind, dann müssen Sie für motorisierte Fahrzeuge mit mehr als 5 PS einen Führerschein vorweisen.

Möchten Sie auf außerhalb der Binnengewässer reisen, dann benötigen Sie den Sportbootführerschein See, sofern die Leistung der Motoryacht über 15 PS liegt. Der Gültigkeitsbereich umfasst die Seeschifffahrtsstraßen der Schifffahrtsstraßen-Ordnung.

Welche weiteren Kosten entstehen durch den Besitz der Motoryacht?

Einer der ersten Schritte ist der Abschluss einer Haftpflichtversicherung. Sie bewahrt Sie vor finanziellen Forderungen Dritter.

Wird beispielsweise beim Wendemanöver im Hafen ein anderes Boot gerammt, dann regulieren die Versicherungen den Schaden.

Die Kosten hängen stark von der Größe und dem Wert der Motoryacht sowie der geplanten Nutzung ab. Ein kleines Motorboot verursacht monatliche Ausgaben von mindestens 70 Euro. Für großen Motoryachten und Luxus-Superyachten werden individuelle Angebote erstellt.

Das Bootszubehör: Spaß, Technik und Sicherheit

Für Motoryachten eignen sich ergänzend Beiboote oder Jetskis . Sie können mit der großen Yacht vor der Küste vor Anker gehen und mit kleineren Boot Ausflüge an Land unternehmen. Knappe zehn Meter lang und bis dreieinhalb Meter breit: Diese Abmessungen stehen auf dem Markt für bestimmte Fahrtenboote, die schon fast einen Sonderstatus belegen. Es handelt sich um die sogenannte Einsteigerklasse, auch wenn sich trefflich darüber diskutieren ließe, ob denn Yachten, deren Preise als Gebrauchtboote nur mit etwas Glück bei 40.000 Euro (bei Bavaria) oder sogar erst bei 130.000 Euro (bei Hallberg-Rassy) starten, ein solches Prädikat tragen dürfen. Aber der Vergleich der hier vorgestellten Boote ist für Gebrauchtboot-Interessenten eine gute Orientierung.

Dieser Bootsgröße jedenfalls schenken insbesondere Großserienwerften größte Aufmerksamkeit. Es geht hier neben Stückzahlen auch darum, Neukunden und Umsteiger an die Marke zu binden. Das heißt für die Hersteller: Boote bauen, die einerseits den Ansprüchen einer vielfach akkurat vergleichenden Kundschaft gerecht werden, andererseits aber auch die typischen Marken­werte repräsentieren.

Die Yachten der großen kleinen Klasse stehen auf dem Wunschzettel vieler potenzieller Kunden. Die Gründe dafür liegen auf der Hand: Zum einen ist es die überschaubare Größe, mit der schon Anfänger klarkommen und die bezogen auf das Handling auch viel Sicherheit bietet. Weiter sind die Boote mit den mittlerweile üblichen Ausbaustufen bis zum Dreikabiner bereits groß genug für die Familie oder den Törn mit Freunden. Außerdem decken die Yachten speziell dieser Klasse ein ungemein breites Spektrum ab. Sie eignen sich für Urlaub und Wochenend­törn genauso wie als Daysailer oder als Regattaboot für die Clubwettfahrt.

Repräsentativer Querschnitt durch das Segment der Familienyachten

Kein Wunder also, dass alle führenden Hersteller das Zehn-Meter-Segment bedienen und zudem fleißig Modellpflege bei den Familienyachten betreiben.

Ausgangsort des Vergleichstests ist die An­cora-Marina in Neustadt an der Lübecker Bucht. Der deutsche Bootsbau ist mit der Cruiser 33 von Bavaria vertreten. Die Polen von Delphia schicken ihre gerade fertiggestellte 34er ins Rennen. Aus Frankreich sind gleich zwei Yachten an die Ostsee gekommen, die Dufour 350 sowie die Sun Odyssey 349 von Jeanneau.

Zudem nimmt Hallberg-Rassy aus Schwe­den teil, die mit der HR 310 eine überaus spannende Ergänzung zum Vergleich bieten. Die Schwedin ist zwar etwas kleiner als die Konkurrenz, passt aber dennoch besser zur Gruppe der Einsteigeryachten als ihre Schwester HR 342, die größer ist als der Wettbewerb. Klar ist, dass die kleinste HR in Bezug auf das Platzangebot und insbesondere auch mit Blick auf das Preisgefüge in diesem Vergleich eine Außenseiterrolle bei den Familienyachten einnimmt.

Weil für die Folgetage auf der Ostsee Sturm angesagt ist, werden die fünf Teilnehmerinnen für eine erste Begutachtung sofort aufs Wasser geschickt. Die Bedingungen sind mit maximal 15 Knoten Wind vorerst noch moderat. Später flaut es zwischenzeitlich sogar noch ab.

Steifer mit mehr Volumen

Bei anfänglich mehr Druck legen die beiden Französinnen von Dufour und Jeanneau beachtliche Segelleistungen vor. Sie bauen sichtlich schneller und mehr Druck auf als die anderen Schiffe und setzen sich auf dem Kreuzkurs sogleich an die Spitze des Feldes. Beide Familienyachten stehen mit ihren Kimmkanten (Chines) für einen neuen, modernen Kon­struktionstypus mit mehr Volumen im Bug- und vor allem im Heckbereich.

Außerdem: Sowohl die Dufour als auch die Jeanneau sind mit einem Performance-Paket ausgestattet. Die guten Leistungen der Französinnen in der Gegenüberstellung liegen sicher nicht zuletzt darin begründet. Bei der Jeanneau ist das Groß im Topp auch noch stark ausgestellt.

Die Hallberg-Rassy 310 profitiert ebenfalls von einem besseren Satz Segel als Upgrade zum Standard-Umfang. Sie kommt zwar an der Kreuz nicht ganz an die Dufour und die Jeanneau heran, erweist sich aber durchweg als deren härteste Verfolgerin.

Eine überraschend gute Performance legt die Cruiser 33 von Bavaria hin, die als einziges Boot mit einem Rollmast zum Test kommt. Der vermeintliche Nachteil des schweren Riggs mit weniger Segelfläche scheint kaum von Bedeutung; die Bavaria kann am Wind im Feld gut mithalten. Dabei ist sie sogar mit einem Festpropeller aus­gestattet – auf allen anderen Schiffen finden sich dagegen Faltpropeller. Allerdings ist dies nur bei Hallberg-Rassy Standard.

Die Delphia 34 tut sich anfänglich etwas schwer, zeigt bei abnehmendem Wind aber immer bessere Leistungen. Auf dem Raumwindkurs kann sie den an der Kreuz verlorenen Boden schnell wieder gutmachen und übernimmt auf der Vormwindstrecke bei weniger Wind sogar zeitweise die Führung. Das Testschiff von Delphia ist mit einfachen Standardsegeln (Dacron) aus polnischer Produktion ausgestattet.

Bei viel Druck mit Böen bis über 30 Knoten an den drauffolgenden Tagen ist an vergleichendes Segeln innerhalb der Gruppe der Familienyachten nicht mehr zu denken. Trotzdem werden alle Boote nochmals aus dem Hafen gebracht. Bezüglich der Steifigkeit machen sich bei grenzwertigen Bedingungen doch erhebliche Unterschiede bemerkbar zwischen den achtern auffällig breiten französischen Booten mit hoher Formstabilität und den eher konservativen Rumpflinien von Bavaria, Delphia und Hallberg-Rassy.

Die Modelle von Dufour und Jeanneau segeln aufrechter und verarbeiten die Böen besser; das Risiko von Sonnenschüssen tritt bei ihnen seltener auf. Das Boot von Jeanneau ist als einziges im Wettbewerb mit doppelten Ruderblättern ausgestattet. Kontrollverlust ist selbst bei etwas mehr Krängung kein Thema.

Wie nicht anders zu erwarten, kommt auch die Hallberg-Rassy 310 gut mit dem starken Wind zurecht. Sie weist von den fünf Schiffen den höchsten Ballastanteil auf, ist aber zugleich das Boot mit der ausgeprägtesten Streckung. Die hübsche Schwedin gibt sich von den herrschenden Verhältnissen unbeeindruckt und absolviert den anspruchsvollen Parcours problemlos. Nur auf dem tiefen Vorwindkurs kommt die Schwedin gelegentlich ins Rollen. Durch gefühl­volles Steuern, wie es die Pinne erlaubt, lässt sie sich aber prima wieder auffangen.

Steuern und drehen

Die Hallberg-Rassy 310 ist das einzige Boot mit Pinne im Testfeld der Familienyachten, was sie von der ausnahmslos radgesteuerten Konkurrenz abhebt und bezüglich ihrer Eigenschaften zum Steuern kaum wirklich vergleichbar macht. Wichtig zu wissen: Bei keinem der fünf Schiffe besteht die Möglichkeit, zwischen Rad- und Pinnensteuerung zu wählen.

Die Cruiser 33 von Bavaria und die Delphia 34 zeigen ein Cockpitlayout mit nur einem Rad. Beim deutschen Boot ist das Süll im Arbeitsbereich des Steuermanns weggeschnitten. So kann der Rudergänger mit guter Sicht auf das Vorsegel weiter außen sitzen und das Rad zwischen die Beine nehmen. Die Giebelstädter arbeiten übrigens auch an einer Version ihrer kleinsten Yacht mit zwei Steuerrädern. Auf der Delphia ist die zentrale Steuersäule vergleichsweise weit vorn installiert. Die Süllränder laufen hier bis nach achtern durch. Damit sitzt der Steuermann zwar relativ tief, aber auch sehr gut geschützt und sicher.

Die Familienyachten von Dufour und Jeanneau kommen beide mit vergleichbaren Cockpits und zwei Steuerrädern. Der große Vorteil dieser Anordnung ist neben der Sitzposition die freie Plicht. Gerade beim Tourensegeln, wenn man oft übers Heck und die geöffnete Badeplattform ein- und aussteigt, hat diese Anordnung erhebliche Vorteile. Beim Segeln sitzt der Steuermann auf Dufour und Jeanneau zwar weniger gut geschützt, dafür ganz außen und bei Krängung auch merklich höher, was die Sicht nach vorn und in die Segel begünstigt.

Die beiden französischen Schiffe haben keine Achterstagen. Damit hat der Steuermann mehr Bewegungsfreiheit, und es sind stärker ausgestellte Großsegel möglich. Gerade bei mehr Wind vermisst man man dieses wichtige Trimm­instrument für mehr Vorstagspannung allerdings doch. Die Riggs von Dufour und Jeanneau sollen diesen Umstand mit längeren und noch stärker gepfeilten Salingen kompensieren.

Bei allen Booten im Vergleich ist die kurze Genua mit 105 bis 110 Prozent Überlappung Standard. Eine Selbstwendefock wird ebenfalls von sämtlichen Herstellern als Option angeboten.

Technische Feinheiten

Bezüglich der Steuermechanik hat die Yacht von Delphia Vorteile. Die Anlage funktioniert durchgehend über Schubstangen und Kardangetriebe und ist damit kaum pannenanfällig. Die Installation ist zudem durch eine Luke unter dem Cockpitboden perfekt zugänglich und damit extrem wartungsfreundlich.

Der Nachteil der Schubstangen-Mechanik: Sie vermittelt auf der Delphia weniger Rückmeldung über den Druck am Ruderblatt. Im Test gestaltet es sich deshalb schwierig, sie gefühlvoll am Wind zu steuern. Es fehlt ein Minimum an Ruderdruck.

Bei den französischen Familienyachten sind die beiden Steuerräder jeweils nur per einem durchgehenden Kabelzug mit den Quadranten verbunden. Das sorgt zwar für leichten Lauf, bietet aber keine Redundanz, sollte die Mechanik einer der beiden Steuersäulen ausfallen. Besser wären in beiden Fällen zwei getrennte Züge. Auf der Jeanneau sind zudem die Steuerquadranten für Wartung und Inspektion nur schlecht erreichbar. Auf der Dufour gelangt man an die Mechanik durch die Achterkabine besser heran. Gleiches gilt für die Bavaria.

Auf Delphia, Dufour und Jeanneau ist das Stauraumangebot im Cockpit in erster Linie davon abhängig, ob das Boot mit zwei oder drei Kabinen bestellt wird. Demgemäß ist jeweils eine große Backskiste unter den Bänken im Cockpit möglich oder eben nicht. Weil bei der Delphia die Duchten bis zum Heck durchlaufen, kann die Polin auch in der Version mit drei Kabinen noch mit zwei ordentlich großen Backskisten aufwarten. Bei Dufour und Jeanneau finden sich zusätzliche Stauräume ganz achtern im Heck. Dort kann in beiden Fällen sogar eine Rettungs­insel gelagert werden.

Die Franzosen messen dem sicheren Umgang mit dem Floß mehr Bedeutung zu als die Konkurrenz. Bei Bavaria, Delphia und Hallberg-Rassy muss das Rettungsgerät in der Backskiste gefahren oder am Heckkorb festgezurrt werden.

Familienyachten mit Varianz bei den Tiefgängen

Alle Boote im Test kommen im Standard mit einem L-Kiel und Tiefgängen zwischen 1,80 (Hallberg-Rassy) und 1,98 Meter (Jeanneau). Dazu gibt es Alternativen mit Flachkielen, die von 1,40 bis 1,55 Meter ins Wasser ragen.

Kielvarianten mit flexiblem Tiefgang bieten derzeit nur die Boote von Delphia (Kielschwertversion oder Integralschwert mit Innenballast) sowie das von Jeanneau (das auch mit Schwenkkiel und zwei Ruderblättern geordert werden kann). Damit ist die Sun Odyssey 349 das einzige Boot im Vergleich, das sich gegebenenfalls auch zum Trockenfallen eignet.

Ab Werft wird allen 10-m-Familienyachten ein Diesel mit 19 PS Leistung eingebaut. Bei Jeanneau stammt dieser von Yanmar, bei allen anderen ist Volvo Penta Lieferant. Für den Antrieb werden die Bavaria, die Dufour und die Hallberg-Rassy mit einem Saildrive bestückt, bei der Jeanneau und bei der Delphia ist da­gegen ein Wellenantrieb vorgesehen.

Aus den Manövriertests im Hafen geht die Dufour 350 als Siegerin hervor. Weil bei ihr das Ruderblatt weiter vorn eingebaut ist, dreht das Boot über einen sehr engen Radius und reagiert schneller auf die Ruderausschläge. Die Beschleunigung vor- und rückwärts sind bei ihr geradlinig, und das Ruder spricht unmittelbar an.

Das gute Abschneiden der Dufour bei den Hafenmanövern gründet auch auf dem Umstand, dass beim Testboot eine größere Maschine mit 30 PS Leistung eingebaut ist. Die Option auf eine stärkere Motorisierung bieten auch Bavaria und Delphia. Bei der Hallberg-Rassy und bei der Sun Odyssey ist jedoch nur der 19-Pferder möglich.

Ein gutes Verhalten unter Maschine zeigt auch die Jeanneau. Obwohl die beiden Ruderblätter nicht direkt vom Propeller an­geströmt werden, reagiert das Boot schon bei geringster Fahrt. Die Delphia und die Bavaria bewegen sich im Manöver etwas träger und sprechen weniger schnell auf die Ausschläge des Ruders an.

Vorsicht ist beim Rückwärtsfahren mit der Hallberg-Rassy 310 geboten. Die Kräfte auf das Ruderblatt mit starrer Verbindung zur Pinne sind gewaltig.
