Inspiring Suppers Coming Up
Inspiring Supper - Charlie Laughton-Scott & Nick Gold: Saturday 12th October
AYC member Charlie Laughton-Scott and the official guide for Orford Ness, Nick Gold, will be joining us at AYC for an inspiring supper on the 12th to take questions on Cobra Mist. In their talk they will deepen your knowledge on the 'Secretss of Orford Ness' so book now! Book by emailing [email protected], please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
A two-course supper will be served for £17.50 (£21 non-members). Bar opens at 6pm and talk starts at 6:30pm.
Members are welcome to come just to hear the talk but please let the office know so we put out plenty of chairs.
Main Course: Cod, cheddar and parsley fishcake with creamed spinach, fine beans and deep fried sage and courgette ribbons
Vegetarian: Cauliflower and cumin arancini, creamed spinach with raisins and sunflower seed, tender stem broccoli
Dessert: Apple tart tatin with butterscotch sauce and clotted cream
Inspiring Supper - Nick Hutchison: Saturday 16th November
Join us on the 16th where AYC member, Nick Hutchison (a world authority on Shakespeare), will entertain us with stories from his fascinating career 'living with Shakespeare'. Book now by emailing [email protected], please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
Main Course: Red wine braised beef brisket, rosti potato, celeriac puree, honey roasted parsnips and greens
Dessert: Pineapple upside down cake, pina colada syrup with honey mascarpone

The coffee mornings run every Thursday at 10:30am, starting 5th September.
A small donation is asked for to go towards the coffee and biscuits and any remaining funds are donated to AYC Schools Sailing Trust, BIGKID and the Woolverstone Project.
Everyone is welcome.

| AYC Bridge will be on Thursday 19th September, 10th October, 14th November and 3rd December, running 11-12:30. Contact Amanda Churchill by emailing if you would like to join as it helps her with planning numbers for the tables. | There will be a selection of sandwiches and hot lunches and they'll be open 12:00 - 14:30. Come down to the Club on Saturdays to watch or take part in Saturday racing. |

Note for New Members: The social events at the club are many and varied. In addition to the regular Wednesday Evening suppers through the summer and the Sunday lunches, there are usually events ranging from Scottish Dancing in the winter, culminating in a Burns Night Dinner, to dinners and other social events that complement the sailing calendar such as Fitting Out and Laying up Suppers. The main social event of the year is the Regatta Ball in August, and there are lots of other class dinners and drinks events as well.
