BAVARIA Yachtbau Giebelstadt uit passie voor innovatie.

Bavaria Yachtbau groeide sinds 1978 uit tot één van de grootste jachtbouwers van zeiljachten en motorjachten van Europa met als motto: het bouwen van jachten waarbij prijs en performance geoptimaliseerd worden.

Als jachtverhuurder kijken wij anders naar jachten. Naast veiligheid, degelijkheid en goede zeileigenschappen kijken wij naar onderhoud.  Onderdelen dienen bereikbaar en demontabel te zijn, het interieur comfortabel en houdbaar. Bovendien moet reiniging goed mogelijk zijn. Wanneer wij bij andere merken zien dat plekken onbereikbaar zijn voor onderhoud of reiniging dan haken wij af.

Voorts speelt voor ons de prijs van aanschaf een belangrijke rol. De kwaliteit is enorm gegroeid en daarmee de prijs. Wij proberen echter de huurprijzen zo lang mogelijk concurrerend te houden.

Telkens weer, wanneer wij op BOOT Düsseldorf verschillende merken bezichtigen en vergelijken, komen wij tot de conclusie dat Bavaria Yachtbau voor ons nr. 1 blijft.

Kapitein onder de zeiljachten

Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH in Giebelstadt heeft momenteel zo’n 600 medewerkers, waarvan 150 in de administratie.

Rond 1.000 motor- en zeiljachten worden jaarlijks geproduceerd op een oppervlakte van 200.000 vierkante meter. Met een overdekte productiehal van 70.000 m² en een export van ruim 85% behoort Bavaria tot de grootste en meest efficiënte jachtbouwers ter wereld.

Bavaria ontwikkelt continu nieuwe zeil- en motorjachten (60 : 40%).

Een wereldwijd netwerk van ervaren bedrijfspartners garandeert professionaliteit en een onovertroffen prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

BAVARIA VacuTec

De nieuwste innovatie BAVARIA VacuTec is een vacuuminjectie-technologie, die zorgt voor de hoogste romp-kwaliteit. Een reductie van 20% gewicht en 80% uitstoot tijdens het arbeidsproces heeft een lichtere en stabielere romp als voordeel. Isoftaalzuurhars, toegepast bij het lamineren van de buitenlagen, biedt een effectieve bescherming tegen osmose en een lange levensduur.

De romp en het dek  bestaan uit een sandwichconstructie met schuiminleg. Op plaatsen waar beslag gemonteerd wordt, is het dek met aluminiumplaten versterkt. Kort voor het einde van het productieproces worden dek en romp aan elkaar geschroefd en extra verlijmd met wederom een extreme stabiliteit en een hoge levensduur als resultaat. De vensters in de opbouw bestaan uit veiligheidsglas.

Modern productieproces

Bavaria Yachtbau combineert haar jarenlange ervaring met innovatieve technologieën en moderne productie-methoden. De werft beschikt over één van de modernste systemen voor seriematige productie.

Van het lamineren van de romp tot de uitlevering leggen de jachten ruim 6 km af op transport-systemen.

CAD/CAM-programma’s, nauwkeurige robots, ervaring en handvaardigheid van hooggekwalificeerde medewerkers zorgen voor de uitstekende kwaliteitsnorm.

De jachten worden vervaardigd langs vier montagebanden. Romp en dek passeren via een rails de aparte montagestations.

BAVARIA Transportband

De productie van de jachten begint al bij het dekbeslag. Luiken, lieren en beslag worden compleet gemonteerd. Vereniging van romp en dek wordt voorbereid. De rompen worden parallel langs de montagebanden verder uitgebouwd.

Kleine en grote jachten worden wegens andere doorlooptijden op verschillende banden gefabriceerd. Het montageverloop via de transportband is tot in het kleinste detail gepland en onderverdeeld in overzichtelijke montage-eenheden.

Alle jachten worden op bestelling geproduceerd, waardoor een individueel jacht kan worden samengesteld.

Doorstart Bavaria Yachtbau

Geheel onverwacht ging na 40 jaar in april 2018 serieproducent BAVARIA Yachtbau failliet, nadat de hoofdinvesteerders zich terugtrokken uit het bedrijf. Onder andere de dure aankoop van de Franse catamaranwerf Nautitech, nu Bavaria Catamaran, in 2014 en de jarenlange verliezen zijn oorzaken van de slechte cijfers.

In oktober 2018 kwam het positieve nieuws naar buiten dat Bavaria Yachtbau was overgenomen door een nieuwe investeerder. De botenwerf is nu in handen van de Duitse investeringsmaatschappij Capital Management Partners (CMP). Alle 800 arbeiders, die werkzaam waren in Giebelstadt en Rochefort, gingen over naar de koper.

Met het nieuwe management zal Bavaria Yachtbau een goede koers varen.

Tip: Heeft u een jacht op het oog dan kunt u het jacht eerst huren. Besluit u het jacht vervolgens te kopen dan trekken wij de huurprijs af van de koopsom. Een normale proefvaart is natuurlijk ook mogelijk maar wanneer u echt zelf even met het jacht onderweg bent komt u er het best achter of het jacht aan uw wensen voldoet.

BAVARIA Partners: Farr Yacht Design en BMW Designworks

De ontwikkeling van alle CRUISER jachten is een nauwe samenwerking tussen productmanagers, botenbouwers en designteams.

Jarenlange ervaring, ontelbare regatta’s en feedback van klanten worden verwerkt in het totaaldesign. Ondersteund door Design Unlimited, welke verantwoordelijk is voor de vormgeving onder- en bovendeks en van de opbouw.

Topklasse designburo’s als Farr Yacht Design (ontwerper Volvo Ocean 65) en Insenaval S.L. zijn verantwoordelijk voor de marine architectuur en de functionaliteit.

BMW Group Designworks USA is verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerp van de buitenkant. Topmerken als Lewmar, Seldén, Elvström, Rutgerson, Furlex, Volvo Penta, Garmin, Siemens en Quick dragen extra bij aan uw vaarplezier en veilig.

De ruime ervaring van deze expert-teams samen met de expertise van Bavaria in seriematige productie, het gebruik van de modernste technische middelen en liefde voor scheepsbouw garandeert een succesvolle ontwikkeling.

Farr Yacht Design , opgericht door Bruce Farr in Auckland, Nieuw-Zeeland, is een racejacht designbedrijf gevestigd in Annapolis, Maryland, Verenigde Staten. Farr Yacht Design Ltd. is inmiddels wereldwijd erkend als top racing-yacht-design-team.  De Farr ontwerpen wonnen in de afgelopen 30 jaar 43 wereldkampioenschappen en boekten vele design-successen op internationaal prestigieuze Grand Prix Yachting evenementen.

Farr ontwikkelt op maat interieurs, zeilen en scheepsromp. Farr maakt gebruik van extern onderzoek en ontwikkeling met tank testen en windtunnels. Door Farr ontworpen jachten hebben inmiddels vele zeilraces gewonnen. Farr Yacht Design ontwierp diverse jachten voor de Volvo Ocean Race.
