Alia Yachts

Alia Yachts was founded in 2008 by Gökhan Çelik, together with his business partner Ömer Koray, in Antalaya, Turkey. Its purpose built Lloyd's certified facilities are equipped for cutting edge yacht construction in carbon reinforced composites, steel and aluminium up to 80m. 

The shipyard is dedicated to turning drawings from some of the world’s greatest designers into a reality that exceeds all expectations. Its in-house engineers, shipwrights, technicians, electricians, mechanics, welders and laminators all have significant experience in their fields, giving them invaluable insight into solutions for even the most complex yacht concepts. 

All Alia's yachts are built to the highest international quality standards, and the most exigent levels of comfort and safety. 

The shipyard recently completed an expansion of its facilities. The new construction facility covers 16,000sqm, houses five construction halls and it includes storage areas and dedicated workshops. The new sheds, which are 90m long and 22m high, enables the shipyard to build larger yachts under cover up to 80m.

Alia Delivers 85-Foot Motoryacht

Alia Yachts in Turkey has delivered an 85-foot Bill Dixon design to the owners. The custom project is built in aluminum and composite, and has interiors by Alia in collaboration with CT Mimarlik.

The owner wanted an open-plan boat for contemporary living inside and out. Features on the main deck include a terraced deck with fold-down bulwarks and foldaway sliding glass doors at the covered lounge area.

Accommodations are for three guest staterooms on the lower deck, including the master stateroom forward. The owner could have ordered four staterooms on board but wanted spaces that were larger.

“This is a super-cool boat,” Gökhan Çelik, president of Alia Yachts, stated in a press release. “From the crisp exterior lines to the modern interior styling, she’s very modern with an unwavering attention to detail as found on our superyachts.”

Power comes from twin 1,350 hp Volvo Penta engines for a reported top speed of 22.5 knots and a range of 800 nautical miles.

What else is in build at Alia? The yard has eight projects under construction up to 196 feet length overall.

Our in-house interiors atelier

To complement the shipyard, Alia Yacht Builders also has its own in-house interiors atelier, which engineers and fits interiors for all Alia new-build yachts, and also undertakes refits and refurbishments on request. Our specialist designers and craftspeople work closely with their colleagues in the shipyard, ensuring a smooth, seamless process and helping to keep your project on time and on budget.

As with yacht construction, all interiors are fully bespoke and commissioned in collaboration with the client’s team.

Precision, perfected

We translate the design concept into layout and shop drawings, then create precise templates for full 1:1 scale mock-ups – cabin by cabin, deck by deck – for the entire yacht interior. Together with the client, we check walls, floors, doors, windows, cabinets, beds, furniture, air-vents and other elements, ensuring everything works perfectly. That attention to detail extends to every part of the yacht, including the crew quarters. Once the layout, materials and colours are signed off, everything is carefully packed up and transferred to the shipyard for installation. 

Experts in materials

Over interiors departments includes over 100 designers and craftspeople. They have exceptional practical and problem-solving skills in a wide range of specialisms, including carpentry, upholstery, veneering and furniture-making to metalworking, fibreglass moulding and gold-plating and leafing. We work in materials including wood, stone, metals, textiles, leather and composites: we also have particular expertise in creating advanced finishes that precisely replicate rare, exotic materials, helping to avoid potentially lengthy and costly delays.

Turkish shipyard Alia Yachts ’ flagship vessel, the 197-foot superyacht Samurai, has been hiding in plain sight. The yacht may have officially launched three years ago, but its international boat-show debut is just around the corner—all 1,050 GT of it.

Styled by Dutch studio Omega Architects , the low-rise exterior profile features bold vertical windows, an elegantly arched superstructure and long aft overhangs to give it a sporty, powerful appeal.

The high-volume 1,050 GT interior is almost entirely housed inside the hull, which means oodles of guest and cabin space.

A luxurious and spacious beach club and gym with fold-down transom door and side platform occupy part of the lower deck, alongside a tender garage with room for two custom tenders of up to 23 feet.

Direct exterior access from the main deck to the beach club via a stairway on the aft deck heightens convenience.

So, long lazy days lounging by the water’s edge accompanied by the odd shore excursion when curiosity piques are a must.

Interior design comes from the boards of British studio Redman Whiteley Dixon  (RWD), where natural materials and neutral tones go hand-in-hand to create a sophisticated and welcoming environment akin to airy and light loft-apartment living.

The best views on board are reserved for the full-beam, forward-facing owner’s suite with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out to sea.

The free-flow layout is carried through to the open-plan main saloon, and formal dining is provided for in the main-deck dining room—both also benefitting from full-height windows.

For warm summer evenings on board, however, guests can take dinner alfresco on the generous bridge-deck dining area.

Powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M73L engines, Samurai ‘s naval architecture includes a patented Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) by Dutch firm Van Oossanen, providing a top speed of 21 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,250 nm at economical speed.
