last year was the first time we had…

last year was the first time we had been on a sailing holiday, so we have some concerns as to how this would go. My three children (9,13 & 15) plus my wife (age with held) had a great time sunbathing, swimming, jumping off the boat, eating, drinking etc... while I worried about which direction we should be going. The staff were very helpful and really helped to make the overall experience unforgettable. So much so that we are doing it all over again this year.

Nautilus Look After You!

2018 is the 3rd year we have used Nautlius and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again. We have been sailing in Croatia and they placed us with Dalmatian Charter who, unsurprisingly, turn out to be a brilliant charter company. They know the sailing business inside out, whether it's bareboat charter, flotilla or learning sail they make sure you get exactly the right holiday with the best companies.

Ionian Flotilla

We had an amazing holiday in fantastic weather and beautiful scenery. The standard of our boat was exceptional. Very clean and comfortable with all eventualities thought of. All of these went toward making a great holiday but what made it special and memorable was the Team. All of them. Lisa running the show with the guys on the shore kept things smooth and hassle free. Our lead crew were Chloe and Pippa. Their knowledge, humour and patience would be hard to find in people twice their age. It is no exaggeration to say they made this holiday for us. Nothing was too much trouble and no question was a silly question. Great fun too.

We've booked our flotilla holidays…

We've booked our flotilla holidays through Nautilus several times now and the service is always first rate.. very personal and attentive. The local charter company they use have also been great. All the details of the holiday are dealt with very professionally.

Second booking and still good!

This is the second time that I have booked through Nautilus Yachting. Their website is full of useful booking and location information. During my telephone calls staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I will almost certainly use Nautilus again.

Ionian Flotilla - just perfect.

As a first family sailing holiday - perfect! Palairos is a great base to start and finish. Lead crew Chloe and Pippa get the right balance between being there when needed and letting you get on with it. Plenty of advice, always available, but never in the way of your holiday. Finishing up with a beach BBQ on Meganissi was the icing on the cake. We've already chosen our boat and booked for next year!

Croatia Flotilla Holiday

Just got back from a flotilla holiday in Croatia organised by Nautilus. It had been a long time coming, being cancelled twice because of COVID. However, Nautilus proved to be a very efficient organisation, keeping us well-informed and rescheduling the cruise. During the cruise the Nautilus flotilla leads, Beth & Becky were superb, organising berthing and, in particular providing vital help and support when I developed an eye problem and had to return to the UK. They liaised with the Company to obtain promptly a replacement skipper so the rest of my family could continue with the cruise. Many thanks to all, a great performance. We will be back!!

From first contact to the end of our holiday communication was professional and helpful.Costs were clear with no hidden extras. The boat we rented was a Bavaria 39 2007.Despite its age it was clean and comfortable and all in good working order.,with everything we needed on board we had no problems at all. The flotilla staff were knowledgeable and professional a great support and had a good sense of fun which made our holiday more enjoyable. We had a fabulous holiday and I would thoroughly recommend Nautilus

Excellent service. We will be back again.

We have just returned from a fabulous week on a boat in Croatia. Jonathan and his team have been outstanding from start to finish. This was our first bare boat charter and the advice and choice of boats was excellent. Their communications are first class, and they have been nothing but helpful from start to finish. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a quality, well organised and friendly service for their sailing or motorboat holiday. We will not hesitate to use them again.

Sailing in Corfu

The boat was really clear, in great condition and well looked after. The location was incredible and it was a very run set up, with people on hand if needed. The organisation was great, the team at the base were friendly and supportive. They gave great explanations and everything had been thought of from the extensive first aid kit on the boat to engine maintenance. Although we appreciated the first aid kit most, it was prepared for everything and the bite cream was a life saver with mozzy bites! It's always hard to know everything about a boat you haven't sailed before but, they explained well and were on hand to advise. I have only just got back and am looking to book my next holiday, I think we will continue to use nautilus for all our future holidays.

We have had around 5 sailing holidays with Nautilus and they have never let us down in any way.. v professional company that you can trust. We went only once with Sunsail and I felt like I was being unfaithful!! Would recommend to anyone .

A no-nonsense, friendly operator

A no-nonsense, knowledgeable, friendly team run this efficient operation. Nothing appears to be too much trouble for them, and they exude enthusiasm. I turned to chartering in Greece after sailing my own yacht in various places around the globe - including over a thousand miles in the Ionian - and, after trying several others, discovered Nautilus. I want a small, expert operator with the personal touch which the larger companies struggle to emulate. I am now a repeat client.

Great Nautilus/ Athenian Yachting service for Bareboat charter in Sporades

I have just come back from sailing in the Sporades, Greece, on a bare boat charter, a 4 year old Sun Odyssey 349. The team at Nautilus provided very helpful comprehensive service before and after I booked, with very useful briefing documents on the area and from their local Fleet Agent, Athenian Yachting. The details on the Sporades cruising area on the website are accurate, and the wind (3rd week of September) was as expected, up to Force 5/6 at times, so some good sailing! A good week's itinerary suggestion on the web site. The optional Asymmetric/ Bloomer sail was almost brand new and all the required ropes and blocks were included. Good fun! I would happily charter from Nautilus again. Only suggestion to add to the FAQs ...A bareboat charter skipper should take latest Pilot book version + gaffer tape, roll of thin line, whipping twine, and silicon spray for the inevitable running fixes that are always required on any bareboat charter. They are a great agent for chartering yachts around the world. Strongly recommended.

Flotilla Wk 19 Saronic Gulf

We had a great boat and everything was clean and tidy. Ross and Alex were excellent and we enjoyed being in Flotilla 19 and also felt we could do our own thing. We had a mix of abilities as did the flotilla and everyone felt comfortable with that. If you are reading this thinking should we go on a flotilla holiday with Nautilus the answer is you would be mad not to !

This will be my third charter with Nautiia , Nikos Fatsis has always been very helpful and has been cheaper than the actual charter company, how they do this is impressive. Amid this terrible covid 19 problem we have decided to take a 4 week charter for 2021, we either live in fear or live in faith, we have chosen faith. Nikos Fatsis is a Gentelman. We wish the company all the best for the future. If you are wishing to charter in Greece I highly recommend Nautilia, The are a Family Business and are Greek. Keep the money in Greece I say.

Very good service

Very good service. We booked our flights to, and accommodation in Corfu but no flotilla boats available from here. Nautilus suggested alternative flotilla from Palairos, and arranged transfer from and back to Gouvia.

Have used Nautilus 6 times - Always Excellent

Have used Nautilus 6 times. Never had a problem. Would 100% recomend. Much easier than dealing with bases direct, and much better that the web based consolidators (of which I have had one dreadful experience in the past)

High Level of Personal Service

I have used this company for a number of years. What you get is a very personal level of service. John and his team are very personable and always willing to try and help and assist you with costings and also advice on sailing locations.I am quite demanding in my sailing needs! John and his team are always very patient with me. As a clear example I was unsure if my booking included transfers to the marina from the airport. John was unsure of the charter companies offer and rather then leave us high and dry offered to cover the costs of the transfers. Nautilus partner with charter companies with a good reputation and to date I have always been happy with the quality of the offer.

Cancelation and rebooking

Many thanks Nautilus Yachting for your help with our sailing holiday to the Ionian, having our dream holiday cancelled due to CV-Lockdown and all the uncertainty in the lead up to that could have been a really stressful experience. We are obviously disappointed that we can’t get away as planned, but fully understand the situation and look forward to getting away same time next year! I really appreciate the effort you have gone to, over and above, to deliver a stress free solution. The whole booking and amending process has been handled really well by you, your team and the suppliers, with great communication throughout. 1st class service

Nautilus were friendly, thorough and professional from start to finish. I had good help in choosing my charter boat, good details were available about specifications and cruising areas etc. and the quality of the boat was better than expected.

After the poor start where we cought an…

After the poor start where we cought an unseen line, not ours, in the prop and with a strong wind pushing us on the jetty we spun round to starboard, broadside to the moored yachts. We got off ok with 2 stantions damaged no fuss by the marina. Do you want new ones they shouted, no we're off and we had an excellent time with no hassle. No fuss when wr returned the neww stantions were sorted. There was an issue with the skippers fwd birth yhe hheavy hatch had no support and it was dangetous to gget in the cabin I have the scars to prove it and I reported it before we set off. Apart from that brilliant. Do you do Turky. Overall great job done by you and Navigar. Cheers Bri Kettel

Great time yachting off Corfu!

Just returned from a great trip around Corfu and Paxos. Nautilus used Kiriacoulis Yachting for this charter. Kiriacoulis have a good set up in Gouvia Marina and were easy to deal with at the start and end of our trip. They were very strict about Covid regulations, which was great, and the yacht was very clean and pretty much everything in the inventory was onboard. The team at Nautilus have been easy to deal with too. We had some email correspondence a few weeks prior to departure regarding the uncertainty of a 2nd wave and further covid lockdowns and were reassured that whatever happened we would get to sail either as planned or at some time next year. This is the third time we've been with Nautilus and find them very straightforward, well informed and professional people to deal with. Our trip was superb, great weather - even the electric thunderstorm was exciting! - great food, great people.

Great service, great boat

Our group of 6 made a bareboat booking with Nautilus Yachting for sailing out of Gocek, Turkey with the yacht provided by E.E.G. The team at Nautilus were excellent from taking our booking to phoning EEG the day before to confirm our transfer to the base. We were kept well informed about payments and other matters, provided with all the information needed and throughout all the staff were friendly and very professional. E.E.G. were the charter company. The boat was new, very well equipped and there were sheets, pillows and towels provided. Our briefing was thorough but delivered in a friendly and informal manner. As we had a long wait at the end of the charter for our flight, Ibrahim arranged for us to spend the day at a small hotel with a big pool for free. All we had to pay for was food and drink. All the hotel staff were also eager to please. Two excellent companies who delivered a great holiday.

Lovely people, poorly maintained boat.

Lovely people, and had lots of advice. The resort support was great when the boat broke twice. Unfortunately, I will not be booking again. I have been around boats/owner for over 20 years. The one rule you need to adhere to is maintenance. If boats are not well maintained, the job list will soon mount up. It was a lovely trip. However, as a sailor it was very frustrating to watch others sail you we were not able to for 5 days of the 12 we chartered. I did get a small contribution back (thank you) and some fuel. However, this did not detract from the poor quality of the boat. My fault for not checking the maintenance record. In our case the mast needed to be removed and of course the boat needed to be lifted once we returned to the UK.

My flotilla sailing holidays with groups of friends and more than one yacht, sometimes with crew changes, have always turned out to be well organised, documented and competitive pricewise. Bareboating for Flotilla pricing

Nautilus use Kiriacoulis as the main sailing company for flotillas out of Athens. We booked on a two week flotilla and ended up on a weeks bareboat holiday with a couple of other families as disenfranchised as we were. The lead boat was more than happy to let us sail away, felt like less boats for them to look after. The briefing was shambolic and the skipper only appeared to be interested in the easiest possible mooring. The worst part though was the condition of the boats. We were lucky as we had the great fortune to be on an owners boat and he was brilliant. One of the other two families was not so lucky. Windlass didn't work, GPS faulty, Genoa didn't furl, head disgusting and much more. Kiriacoulis response was to tell them to sail back to Athens to get the boat fixed (we were 40 + miles away). Worse still they tried to get the skipper to sign a waver on return to Athens to say the boat was in working order. Using mafia style 'muscle' to intimidate him. This was no holiday and no holiday experience. Thank god for our 'mini' flotilla of breakaway boats. I really cannot recommend strongly enough that you do not use Kiriacoulis and if Nautilus want to stay in business they should look elsewhere too.

Nautilus has helped me find a good yacht to bare-boat charter since 2009 in the Med and Indian Ocean on 6 different occasions. Back next year

Unfortunately we were unable to reach the Croatian flotilla in July which was a great disappointment for the family. The customer service which we received from Nautilus has been exceptional through out the pandemic period in us trying to reach our holiday. Gillian has been a valued support in keeping us informed and assured. We look forwards returning and sailing again with Nautilus next year.

Very satisfied customers......
