Ratings and reviews, location and contact.

On Sunday we went to the patio Dockside Restaurant for the first time. It was our first visit to a restaurant since the pandemic closed everything. Laura was our server and she was efficient and friendly. Then it started to rain more and more! Laura... stepped up her service then. She said she would pack up our entrees and bring them to the car. When the rain was the heaviest she brought our food and containers for our wine. She also suggested that we sit under the covered section beside the one building since the restaurant was not reopening. Although our dinner was interrupted we made the best of the evening and enjoyed being by the water. Thank you Laura. Also we enjoyed the food . We look forward to o ur next visit! More

We dined here after a Playhouse event. We were seated outside on their patio. Beautiful spot. We watched the boats coming and going down the canal to the lake and from the lake. There were three '60 foot' sailboats tied up to the wall just... behind us. "WoW! The service was top shelf and the meals excellent. The selection very good and all enjoyed their choice. A very good dining experience. More

What a wonderful place. We had a table right by the water and watched the boats go by. They are open to the public on Fridays now, which is quite a treat. A great place to watch sunsets too. The food is locally sourced and... all cooked from scratch. Wonderful attentive service. More

We have eaten here a few times withe two other couples. the other couples likes the Friday night fish & chip special. Making reservations difficult although when you get there there are plenty of empty tables. The food was so-so and the service fair.

Went there specifically for fish and chips . server was friendly . We ordered fish and chips and perch dinner . Fish and chips were ok average and perch dinner ($25) tasted fishy and overcooked. When fishy taste was pointed out to server we were... told that it is a fishy tasting fish.we both tasted it and in the end both had same conclusion. When asked to speak to manager were told the manager is the owner and since we didn’t send it a back immediately they were not prepared to make any adjustment to the bill. Won’t be back and will tell all. Ask JR for more details More

After a week-long visit to Canadian friends from the St. Catharines area with friends from home, we had a big farewell dinner in the Sunset Dining Room at the Dalhousie Yacht Club. One of our friends is a yacht club member. The yacht club is... located not far from the Port Dalhousie Range Lighthouses in the Port Dalhousie community of St. Catharines. As expected, the décor was nautical. The ambiance was cozy in a clubby way. During socializing time before dinner, we watched sunset from inside the dining room. Our group had selected two main entrées: steak and fish. I’d ordered steak. Others at my table had ordered fish or steak. When our dinners arrived, I was disappointed with the steak. It was charbroiled with an emphasis on the charring. I had to cut half of it off to make it edible. I was not impressed with it one bit. The fish looked much better. Dessert did not disappoint. It was covered with strawberries and whipped cream. It was absolutely delicious. I rate my overall dining experience at the Dalhousie Yacht Club at 3.0. But, for the group as a whole, the rating was more like a 4.0. The Sunset Dining Room is open to the public on Friday nights for their Fish Fry dinner. I had the turkey dinner which was the best I have had. The vegetables were not overcooked and the mashed potatoes were very creamy.

Open to the public on Fridays, this yacht club has a spectacular view of Port Dalhousie inlet and the town. The service is the best and the fish and chips special is special for the best price.

I think the main clientele for this restaurants is the yacht club members, and they have to go to spend their minimums in the restaurant. They are able to accommodate larger groups of people. The food is hit and miss and the service is terrible.... It's borderline self serve, especially for beverages.....if you don't head up to the bar proactively...you'll be very thirsty. More

My and I went for Easter dinner and the meal was wonderful turkey with all the trimmings and a great homemade dessert then a nice walk down to the two light houses we highly recommend this restaurant for Friday night fish and chips open to... the public More

Always a great meal here and never ever go away hungry I recommend this restaurant it’s nice to be open to the public Friday and you can walk out to the pier and see the sun set and on a clear day see Toronto

This place is great! All of the patio tables are on the water! Fantastic views! The food is also great! The perch is delicious...either the perch dinner or the perch on a bun! So good!

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here last night, with our friend after a day of sailing on his sailboat. We were warmly greeted and our server was friendly and attentive. I’ve included a photo of the delicious salad that I had as an appetizer.... It’s their pear, blue cheese and walnut salad. It was one of the best salads that I’ve had!! I was surprised by the fact that there weren’t a lot of people dining here. I’m hoping that this review gets the word out....Eat here!! Great food and great service!!!! More

Tried the Fish and Chips for the first time with my wife. Just a tip. If you want a window seat book ahead. The fish and chips is a two piece loin which is thick but narrow. Nice batter and it is haddock. The fries... are fresh cut and good. if you want coleslaw it is 2.50 extra. Also take note that a 15% gratuity is added to your final bill. enjoyed the meal and will probably come back More

Friday evening Fish and Chips could not be better anywhere. Generous portions good service and the best view. The key lime pie is the best. My favourite Friday night.
