55m Amels motor yacht Serenity J sold

The 55 metre Amels motor yacht Serenity J has been sold with Camper & Nicholsons acting for the seller and Tommaso Chiabra of Royal Yacht International representing the buyer.

The Amels Limited Editions range, designed by Tim Heywood , is one of the most successful series of semi-custom boats on the water. Serenity J joined the fleet in 2014 as a 55 metre model and has enjoyed great success as a charter yacht. She has a steel and aluminium construction with a 9.4 metre beam, which allows for vast and versatile interiors. 

Accommodation is for a total of 12 guests split between six cabins: a full-beam super-king master suite, two doubles and two convertible cabins and a standard twin cabin. She also has quarters for a crew of six. 

Her contemporary interiors have been designed by Laura Sessa and make use of neutral tones with accents of colour, pairing light woods with leather trims. 

The sky lounge features hues of blue with windows that wrap around three sides. Home to an 85-inch HD plasma screen, a sofa lounge and an upright piano, the area is well set up for entertaining guests and leads out to an al fresco dining area on the aft deck that seats 10.  

Above is the sun deck, complete with a Jacuzzi, sun pads and sit-up sun pads. By night, this area can be transformed into a party deck with disco lights and a sound system. A second sun lounging space can be found down by the water's edge on the swim platform.

Serenity J is equipped with twin MTU 16V 2000 engines delivering a top speed of 15.5 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles when cruising at a more modest 13 knots. She was built to Lloyd's classification and is MCA compliant. 

Serenity J was asking $29,500,000.

Motor Yacht

Serenity J is a custom motor yacht launched in 2014 by Amels in Vlissingen , Netherlands.

AMELS are masters in the art of modern Dutch high-value yacht building. The yard is the largest superyacht facility in the Netherlands and one of the top superyacht builders in the world. In 2005 AMELS launched the successful LIMITED EDITIONS and delivered the first yacht of the series in 2007. The shipyard also specialises in the build of full-custom superyachts, with the in-construction Project Signature due to become the largest superyacht ever built in the Netherlands upon her scheduled launch in 2025.

Serenity J measures 55.00 metres in length, with a max draft of 3.40 feet and a beam of 9.00 feet.

Serenity J has a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure.

Tim Heywood, the multi award-winning yacht designer, has produced some of the finest and largest yachts on the water. Among his exceptional designs is the stunning 133m Al Mirqab, which was awarded the coveted ‘Motor Yacht of the Year’ at the 2009 World Superyacht Awards.

Serenity J also features naval architecture by Amels.

Delivered in 2014, SERENITY J is a 55 metres Amels 180 model and has enjoyed great success as a charter yacht. She is clearly designed to enjoy the Mediterranean social scene with a stand-out Sun Deck, outdoor dancing area and an eclectic Italian interior design by Alberto Pinto and Laura Sessa. SERENITY J was recently sold in 2022 to a new Owner.

SERENITY 122 Yacht for Charter

Charter yacht SERENITY is the ultimate yacht to explore the world’s most desirable cruising grounds. There are few better ways to take in the breathtaking views of Costa Rica, The Bahamas and New England than via her luxurious sundeck and flybridge, which can be enclosed or alfresco.

Built in 1993,  SERENITY underwent an interior refit  in 2017 , ensuring her four elegant staterooms are well-appointed. An on-deck master stateroom features a center-line king-size bed, full entertainment center with a flat-screen TV, a DVD player and a settee, along with en-suite his-and-hers bathrooms with marble countertops, separated by a large shower. The full-beam VIP suite has a walk-around king-size bed and similar entertainment center. The en-suite bath has a double sink and vanity and a separate-stall shower. Two additional guest staterooms each have a walk-around king-size bed, entertainment center and en-suite bath with shower.

Additional f eatures added in the latest refit include  upgraded AV with  new TVs, HD and BluRay DVD ,  surround system, DDS and Kaleidescape. The  reconfigured  aft deck  hosts  bench seating, alfresco dining, a wet bar, a refrigerator, an ice maker and access to the swim platform and sundeck.  Her well-equipped  sundeck has a full wet bar, grill, bar stool seating, casual dining space and sun pads.  A proven charter favorite, guests c harter SERENITY for these amenities and so many more.

The 72m/236'3" 'Serenity' motor yacht built by shipyard Austal is available for charter for up to 28 guests in 14 cabins. This yacht features interior styling by AskDeco.

Built in 2004, Serenity is designed for exquisite indoor/outdoor living and boasts voluminous interior and exterior spaces across several decks: ideal for bronzing, lounging or entertaining.

Guest Accommodation

Families will particularly love Serenity thanks to her child-friendly setup. She offers guest accommodation for up to 28 guests with a layout comprising a master suite, six VIP cabins, five double cabins and two twin cabins. There are 20 beds in total, including 12 king, 6 singles and 2 pullmans. Additionally, there is a staff cabin on board. She is also capable of carrying up to 30 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

A charter on Serenity is comfortable and convenient thanks to the provided amenities, particularly the pool, useful to practice your technique or just cool off. A gym with all the latest equipment is available for a good work out or sit back with a glass of champagne in the deck jacuzzi.

Performance & Range

Built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, she offers greater on-board space and is more stable when at anchor thanks to her full-displacement hull. Powered by twin MTU engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 1,539 nautical miles at cruising speed. With a shallow draft of 2.1m/6'11" Serenity can anchor closer to coves and sheltered bays overnight. An advanced stabilisation system on board reduces the side-to-side roll of the yacht and promises guests exceptional comfort levels at anchor or when underway.

Equipped with an extensive selection of action-packed water toys Serenity lets you and your guests turn the Mediterranean into your own private playground. Principle among these are Flyboards for soaring over the water or swimming like a dolphin. Take to the sea on the Jet Skis offering you power and control on the water. In addition there are towable toys offering fun and adventure. If that isn't enough Serenity also features waterskis, a seabob, wakeboards, kayaks, fishing equipment and much more. When it's time to travel from land to see, it couldn't be easier with a RIB.
