Can you have more than 12 guests on a yacht?

At Boataffair, we do not typically rent out boats for more than 12 people. This is due to Boataffair’s focus on private, premier yachting.

We don't operate as a mass-market service; instead, we reserve our boats for boutique experiences for families, groups of friends, and couples. This is why most of our yachts are limited to 12 people or less.

Additionally, many of our motor yachts are designed to legally carry no more than 12 people, and often overnight stays allow for a maximum of 8-10 people.

You’ll want to keep in mind how many people can fit on a yacht before you start building your guest list. But don't worry, you can have wonderful birthday parties on our yachts with less than 12 people!

The boat rate starts at P105,000 per hour for exclusive use for at least four hours. You can also avail of their event package to enjoy food and beverages, event styling, glam team, grazing table, photo and video coverage, mobile bar, lights and sound system, among others. 

For a cheaper option, there's the Shanti 70, also in Manila, which can accommodate up to 20 people for P30,000 per hour (minimum use of two hours). It has an air-conditioned lounge and a nice 360-degree view deck.

They can also set up a buffet, a professional sound system and karaoke setup, boat styling, photo and video coverage, and more depending on your chosen package.

For small parties, opt for their Camargue 46 in the Manila Bay area which can cater to 12 people for P15,000 per hour (minimum use of three hours).

If you want to go all-out, you can party like Kathryn in El Nido and book the Sunreef 60 Loft that can cruise on the stunning beaches of Palawan, including Coron, El Nido, and Puerto Princesa.

This yacht, which can fit up to 25 people, has one main bedroom and two guest rooms. It has its own toilet and bathroom with warm water.

You and your friends can also enjoy board games, internet, and munch over delectable food prepared by a personal onboard chef during your stay. Apart from partying, guests can also enjoy water activities like kayaking, snorkeling, diving, and fishing, among others, as the equipment will also be available onboard.

The rate starts at P90,000 good for five people for day tours. Note that an additional P5,000 is required for every excess guest. The overnight rate, meanwhile, starts at $3,000 (over P168,000) per day for eight people, inclusive of the service of the full crew and use of amenities and water toys. Klook also offers packages for yacht parties. If you want to go outside Metro Manila, you can fly to Boracay and book a luxury private yacht cruise. 

For a three-hour private cruise, you can enjoy the pristine waters of Boracay and Laurel islands with snorkeling stops at either Stations 1 or 3, or Tambisaan, depending on weather conditions. 

Their small boat can cater to up to 17 people, while big boats can max up to 28 guests. The rates start from P40,100 for small boats to P52,000 for big boats.  

Note though that bedrooms are off-limits, and you can choose your time slot between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Jokai Cruises also has a variety of yachts in Cebu that can cater to both small and large groups. There is an Intimate Cruise (starting at P35,900) that caters to 30 people, and the Infinite Cruise (starting at P64,900) and Indefinite Cruise (starting at P89,900) that can fit up to 50 people. 

The rate is good for a four-hour stay and is inclusive of unlimited drinking water, use of the sound system, service of the licensed crew of five onboard, life-saving equipment, and insurance for all passengers.

Note that the counting of guests includes infants, children, nannies, tour guides, caterers, servers, photographers, and more. You may also choose your four-hour timeslot between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. If you wish to extend your stay, a P10,000 rate per hour will be applied. 

Food and beverages are not included in the rate. There will be a corkage fee of P3,000 for food and P2,000 for drinks if you bring your own.

You can also opt for their all-in package that starts at P114,900 for a maximum of 30 guests to P149,900 for up to 50 guests. This includes a buffet, music by a local DJ, a photo session with aerial shots, an unlimited cocktail bar for the whole four-hour stay, and passenger insurance.

Discover and Beyond

Discover and Beyond also has a yacht for rent if you want to celebrate your birthday in Boracay.  

Aboard the Catamaran yacht , you can enjoy complimentary water, music onboard, and use of snorkeling gear and life vests for water activities. You can also cruise on the stunning waters of Boracay for a full three hours.  

You can choose your three-hour timeslot either in the morning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or in the afternoon from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.  

Note that bringing food and drinks on the yacht is prohibited, as per the executive order by the Boracay LGU. 

The rate starts at P55,000. The boat can accommodate up to 25 guests. 

If you want to celebrate somewhere near Metro Manila, you can book the Trimaran Yacht in Subic. 

For three hours, you can cruise in the destination of your choice, like Grande Island, Mayanga Island, and Sampaloc Cove, while having a fun party with videoke, Char-Broil griller, and unlimited drinking water with two complimentary bags of ice tubes. 

You can also enjoy water activities as top-quality snorkel gears will be available for free.

The rates start from P25,500 for 15 guests to P55,000 for 40 guests. Should you want to extend your stay, a P11,500 fee rate per hour will be applied.

You can set sail on a tiki-themed party boat with friends and family this summer along the Ohio River.

Cincinnati Tiki Boat is setting sail along the Ohio River starting Memorial Day weekend.

The two-hour boat tour sails along the Ohio River and can fit up to 16 people.

Riders can bring their own food and drinks. Music is provided through a Bluetooth speaker aboard the boat.

The bar features a wraparound bar counter with spaces to put drinks and snacks.

The tour starts and ends at Rivertowne Marina and stops halfway for bathroom breaks.

The tours run seven days a week, starting Memorial Day weekend through mid-October, pending weather.

The company also has a Cycleboat, a pedal wagon that floats along the Ohio River. The boat has a motor, so riders won't have to do much of the work. The boat also sets sail on two-hour tours starting Memorial Day weekend.

Family, friends mourn loss of Ella Adler, teen girl killed while water skiing in Key Biscayne

MIAMI - A family and community in mourning after a teenage girl died over the weekend after she was hit by a boat while waterskiing off the coast of Key Biscayne.

On Monday morning, hundreds of people attended services for Ella Adler, 15, at Temple Beth Sholom in Miami Beach.

Robert Strauss, a family friend, told CBS News Miami's Peter D'Oench, "I don't know if he was drunk. I don't know if he was not paying attention. But you need to pay attention to the waters and open water like you pay attention to the street." 

Ella was with friends near the Nixon Beach sandbar on Saturday around 4:30 p.m. when she was struck . The driver of the boat never stopped.

"A juvenile female was water skiing and fell off the water ski, and at some point, a vessel struck her causing her to die due to her injuries," said Florida Fish and Wildlife officer George Reynaud.

On Tuesday, the Adler family issued a statement through their attorney Etan Mark.

"The world lost a star this weekend. Ella was beautiful and shined brightly. In her 15 years she gave us more light than we could have ever dreamed. While we cope with this unspeakable tragedy, we ask the public to give us our privacy as we mourn."   

Loren Pearson, a close family friend, said his daughter was with Ella when it happened. He said the two girls were best friends and they are just devastated.

"It's a tremendous loss. She had such a bright future. Just very sad. Very sad," he said."It comes in waves. Together with friends. It doesn't make any sense."

Pearson remembers Ella as a shining light in the community.

"A great dancer. My daughter's best friend," he said. "Happy, friendly, always a smile. That's how I remember her." 

Adler attended Ransom Everglades High School.

"It's really sad to hear. I heard she was a really nice girl, she was on the dance team, she had a lot of good friends. I can't even imagine the pain that they are going through," said Myles Gelber, a junior at the school.    

"It sounded like kind of a freak accident and even worse a hit and run, that's just kind of evil, how can you not have a conscience to help the girl you just hit with your boat," he added. 

Investigators said it's unclear if the driver of the boat knew they hit the girl  but they didn't stick around.  

"Our hearts are broken and our community has been devastated by this tragedy. Ella shined in our classrooms and on our stages, and she embodied the mission of Ransom Everglades School. She was an outstanding student, a wonderful dancer and an active member of the Jewish Student Association and speech and debate team. We extend our deepest sympathy to her family and our prayers are with all who are mourning her loss," Head of School Rachel Rodriguez said in a statement.

According to her obituary :

"She was a force of nature, and when she was near, everyone felt a gravitational pull toward her.

In her 15 years on this earth, she dazzled us with her light. She emanated love and joy. She was beautiful. When she walked into a room, everyone was drawn to her. She loved to dance, she loved her friends, and most of all she loved her family - her parents, Amanda and Matthew, and her younger siblings Jaden and Adalynn."  

On Monday afternoon, the Miami City Ballet issued the following statement: 

"We at Miami City Ballet and the Miami City Ballet School are utterly devastated by the heartbreaking news of this tragic accident. Ella Adler was not just a beloved student and a magnificent dancer who graced our stage in George Balanchine's The Nutcracker; she was an integral part of our family, radiating potential and promise whose kindness, warmth, and infectious joy were known to all. Our hearts go out to Ella's family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and adoring her. As we come together, we will profoundly grieve the loss of Ella, and hold dear the precious memories we were fortunate enough to create with her." 

The FWC is hoping that someone saw what happened or has information on the operator of the boat. 

"The striking vessel is described as a light blue center console; possibly with blue or dark blue bottom paint and three or four white outboard engines," said Reynaud.

Anyone with information is urged to call the FWC hotline at 1-888-404-3922 or contact the police.

There is a reward of up to $20,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

BATH 10 a.m. Monday. Parade begins at 200 Congress Ave. and concludes at Library Park and will be followed by a wreath-laying service at 11 a.m.

BERWICK 11 a.m. Monday. Parade begins at Berwick Town Hall/Sullivan Square and proceeds to Lord’s Cemetery by way of Wilson and Allen streets. After a ceremony there, the parade will continue down Saw Mill Hill Street with a pause at the Somersworth-Berwick Bridge for a brief memorial service for those lost at sea. The parade ends at Sullivan Square with a memorial service honoring area veterans.

BIDDEFORD-SACO Opening ceremony at 9:55 a.m. Monday at Saco City Hall. Parade starts at 10 a.m. from Saco City Hall and proceeds along Main Street and down York Hill into Biddeford, continues along Main Street, onto Alfred Street and finishes at Veteran’s Memorial Park with a closing ceremony at 10:45 a.m.

BRUNSWICK-TOPSHAM 9 a.m. Monday. Parade proceeds from Topsham Town Hall, pauses for observances while crossing the Brunswick-Topsham bridge and concludes at the Brunswick Mall.

CAPE ELIZABETH 9 a.m. Monday. Parade begins at the middle school parking lot, turns right on Scott Dyer Road, right onto Route 77 and ends at the village green adjacent to the town hall. A brief ceremony and laying of the wreath will be held at the Village Green after the parade.

CUMBERLAND 8 a.m. Monday. Kids run at Greely High School followed by 5K Run and Remember race at 8:30 a.m. Parade starts at 10 a.m. at Mabel I. Wilson School and ends at the veterans’ monument in Moss Side Cemetery in Cumberland Center, where a ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. Advertisement

FALMOUTH 10 a.m. Monday. Parade proceeds from 65 Depot Road (Falmouth American Legion) to Pine Grove Park, where a ceremony will be held.

FREEPORT 9:30 a.m. Monday. Parade proceeds from Holbrook Street, heads north on Main and makes a right onto School Street, then right onto Park Street, ending in Memorial Park. There will be a small ceremony in the Memorial Park starting at 10 a.m.

GORHAM 11 a.m. Monday. Parade starts at Village School (12 Robie St.) and ends at Eastern Cemetery on Johnson Road.

GRAY 11:30 a.m. Monday. Parade leaves the Russell School (8 Gray Park), proceeds to Shaker Road and continues to the Soldiers Monument at the intersection of Routes 26 and 3 for a wreath-laying ceremony. Parade continues north to the American Legion Post (15 Lewiston Road) for a closing ceremony.
