Boat rental in Friesland, the most beautiful province of the Netherlands, can provide you with an absolute perfect holiday.

The moment you enter our harbour, you experience the careless feeling that comes with an outdoor holiday. At your arrival you will be kindly welcomed.

Boat charter in Friesland will surprise you from the water: still waters, grand lakes, wonderful rivers and canals, scenic traditional landscapes and historical towns and villages.

Because of the equal water level in Friesland you will not encounter any difficulty with locks.

In the midst of nature you will find countless berths at the many islands among the inviting shores.

The Frisian waters cover 110 km² of the entire province, consisting of 17 lakes which are connected by several rivers and canals. Making the Frisian waters a perfect place for aquatic sports.

A combination of a quiet surrounding, fresh air and crystal clear water in which you can swim and fish to one’s heart.

In most places you will find marinas offering you all kinds of luxuries like: showers, washing machines, fresh water connection, shops and many other things.

If nobody on board feels like cooking, you can always go to one of the friendly diners or cosy restaurants.

Car park During your holiday you can leave your car at our marina.

Bedding All of the bed clothes i.e. blankets, sheets, pillow, sleeping bags you will need to bring yourself. The same goes for towels. For a set price we can arrange and provide all this for you.

Boat rental You will not need a license for any of our boats. Since a license is only required when the yacht exceeds 15 meters in length or goes faster than 20 km/h.

Insurance Our yachts have a fully comprehensive insurance with an “own risk” maximum €500. Before departure you will need to make a €500 deposit in cash. If the yacht is back on time and without damage the full deposit will be returned.

Water chart All necessary water charts and almanacs are on board. So of course you will find excellent current water charts and the almanacs part 1 and 2. Part 1 contains all applicable rules and regulations and part 2 with extensive information about all sites, marinas and opening times of bridges and locks (across the whole of the Netherlands). When boarding, we would like to explain a few things. Of course, we can help you in figuring out a suitable route for you.

De Aquastar 15, is een Aqualine 50 PH. PH staat voor Pilot House. Deze Aqualine 50 is thans in aanbouw. Start verhuur is gepland halverwege seizoen 2017. Informatie betreffende de bouw op onze Facebook. De Aquastar 15 is één van onze grootste jachten. Het schip is geschikt voor 14 personen en heeft een achterdek met een grote U-bank. Voor de nodige ontspanning is op het voordek een jacuzzi ingebouwd. Daarnaast beschikt het schip over een grote salon waar met veertien man gezeten kan worden. Ook is de keuken is de salon geplaatst zodat je niet steeds een trapje af hoeft te lopen. Aan boord zijn voldoende sanitaire voorzieningen.

The 26m/85'4" expedition yacht 'Rock X' (ex. Rock IV) was built by Evadne Yachts . Her interior is styled by Dutch designer design house Vripack and she was completed in 2024. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Vripack.

Guest Accommodation

Rock X has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Rock X is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-12.9) 1,000hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 3,000 nautical miles from her 11,000 litre fuel tanks at 9 knots. Her water tanks store around 2,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to CE Category A classification society rules.

History of Aquastar Boats

Aquastar Boats, a prominent name in the boating world, established its roots in the Channel Islands in 1969, dedicating itself to crafting top-quality, ocean-going motor yachts. Founded by Arthur Scott, a marine expert with a profound respect for the sea, the firm specialises in robust and reliable crafts that maintain excellent performance even in adversity. Aquastar's reputation for building sturdy, all-weather boats characteristic of hard-chine semi-displacement hulls and excellent sea-keeping capability soon spread throughout Europe.

By the late 1980s, demand for Aquastar boats was on the rise, compelling the company to expand its operations. Relocating from Guernsey to a larger facility in St Sampson’s, it was during this period that Aquastar began using GRP hulls with traditional hand-made interiors which added a touch of elegance and sophistication to their maritime craft. This shift in materials and the preservation of precision allowed Aquastar to produce yachts that offered both luxury and reliability combined.

Today, Aquastar's main operations have shifted to the UK, at the South Coast facility in Milford Haven, Wales. Despite the change of location, the company remains true to Arthur Scott's original vision, providing reliable crafts designed to withstand tough maritime conditions. As of current, Aquastar continues to manufacture high-quality boats ranging from 32 to 70 feet, promising sophisticated design, comfort, and above all, safety for their boat owners globally.

The Aquastar boatyard in Guernsey has enjoyed continuous dedicated management in over four decades of yacht building. We are as passionate about our range today as we were when we launched our first boat. Our experience includes building the UK's largest GRP trawlers with 25 ton wet fish/hold tanks in the 1970's, through 50 ton displacement 81' maxi yachts with 12 ton keels which ploughed the oceans of the world in the 1980's to the present day state of the art, inspired, stabilized motor yachts which are respected the world over. Today we continue with the theme of timeless contemporary motor yacht design with sumptuous interiors and balanced proportions with stability, range with fuel efficiency and Aquastar renowned seaworthiness. Working with interior designers including Ken Freivokh and Mark Tucker the yard is capable of the best traditional style interiors as well as the most modern. Customisation still comes as standard with on-going service and back-up taken for granted. Creating cutting edge looks, Mark Tucker’s portfolio includes the latest Sunseeker Predator 130' and the world’s latest superyachts. There are other good reasons for choosing an Aquastar. By siting engines and fuel tanks amidships the major weight is located away from the extremes providing balance and a superior ride across the speed range without the bow riding up and slamming. Customers who have moved from planing boats appreciate these benefits. Every Aquastar yacht is moulded from top quality tooling, in the best isophthalic gelcoats, for superior shine and wear resistance. The yard having experience in working to Lloyds, DTI, sea fisheries authority and pilotage authority. Efficient use of flow moulding and fitting out programmes result in a top quality craft built in good time by tradesmen with more experience in semi-displacement motor yachts than any other U.K. yard.
